Possibly. I published it at midnight. YouTube says publish time doesn't affect long term performance but i have my doubts. Maybe the song just isn't as good as I thought it was. I feel like getting my hopes up for songs is a waste of energy. I should assume everything I make will be a failure so I can never be disappointed.

I don't use YouTube music but my wife does and she allows is following Charli but she hasn't gotten a notif on YouTube music ... :/

Folks weren't getting notifications, I certainly didn't, so I don't reckon this is about the quality of your music at all.

If it's an issue of fewer people watching, then it's not a matter of the song not being good. It's an issue of it not reaching people. If people aren't seeing it, they aren't hearing it, so they have no reason to avoid watching. I didn't get a notification for it. I just happened to be going through your channel and found it. So pretty sure it's just youtube being an ass like usual.

I also noticed the songs you did premiers for appear in my recommendations far, far more often than the ones that didn't get premiers. So maybe that could might be part of it?

I feel like the subject matter is far enough outside your niche audience it's not attracting the same attention. It could also be the YouTube algorithm is just not showing it to people for whatever reason. Keep calm, stay strong, and shine on you crazy diamond.

I didn't get a notification at all either. However I happened to be in YouTube and went to your channel (as I do frequently), and noticed a new song had been released 3 hrs earlier.
