More people have seen my community post on YT than the actual video it tells them to watch. Like what the hell.And the average view time is nearly the entire song. The like/unique viewers ratio (not shown here) is also very high for my songs. So it's obviously a very good song that anyone who hears it likes, then why not promoting it algorithm? Are people just not using their phones or is the song bad?

Are the analytics different across mobile and desktop? I've not gotten a notification for regular YouTube on either. Just the one mobile push for YouTube music Edit: I've noticed if I watch more than one short for a particular creator, I get inundated with notifications for their regular content. It seems like shorts are the new hotness

Shorts are definitely being heavily pushed by Youtube to fight Tiktok. I've came across vids by going to the long version from a short link. So it might be good to release them together and have the Short link to the full song. Otherwise they'll see the teaser and be like "Cool" and not have any follow-up in their doomscrolling

I don’t get it, I thought it was really good, and possibly less “niche” than some of your other releases? Maybe it’s a length thing, longer videos are punished in the algorithm, maybe under a certain time is too? Impossible to know. I’m pretty invested in Burlington doing well, maybe I’ll just listen to it 10000 times when it comes out.

The quality of the song isn’t at question, it’s awesome. I got an immediate YouTube notification on my android phone, but only the Patreon one on my iPhone, exceedingly odd since YouTube notifs tend to show simultaneously between them normally. Idk if it has something to do with me being a new fan or that I had searched your name and song names a lot recently on the android phone.

Hm that might be it but I just don't know. I have a short for the song ready and I'll hope that it's more popular.

If it’s not too much of a pain in the ass you should probably also post your shorts on insta, TikTok etc with a link to try and get some more click through.
