Hell yeah! Twitch Stream!!

Kyle Mccaskill

Madison loved Mr. Popo before DBZA and never viewed him as creepy, DBZA has been so horrible for the Dragonball fandom, Baris instincts were correct, you should have never watched DBZA, it 100% exist to make fun of Dragonball Z, but what’s done is done

Ragestrike

if you need help with set up let me know

It is as you said! Written on Kami's tunic is 神 "Kami" which just means "god" which is pretty close to "good"!! It is pretty blatant but considering young teens and even kids were reading Dragonball at the time, that's not a bad thing! And it's interesting, you guys definitely aren't the first to draw the connection between the idea of "No wasted/redundant movement" in Popo's teachings and Ultra Instinct. Retroactively, it does seem like such a great setup to build towards that ultimate form, but just as you said, it also is how Martial Artists think when exercising the expression of their arts. The idea of this "flow-state" is an extremely prevalent and widely explored idea in Asian cultures! From the most skilled blue-collar laborers, to the simplest cubicle dwellers in a regular office, this idea of reaching a flow state in one's work is something that is believed to always be possible to achieve no matter how mundane the task. This of course naturally extends to martial arts and is greatly incorporated here into Goku's own training! Also I'm glad I won't miss the first stream and I'll be able to stop by for a bit after work today!

Popo vs SSJ Goten and SSJ Trunks was filler

Colton Chandler

This is the first time Shenron is referred to by name.

Colton Chandler

King Piccolo’s slop feast was a filler scene.

Kyle Mccaskill

Beerus and Whis are a knockoff Kami and Popo

Kyle Mccaskill

There are more parallels between Naruto and Harry Potter

Douglas Murray

We already saw Piccolo Jr first spoke when he set the house of the elderly couple on fire.

Colton Chandler

There was one time Super took inspiration from Abridged by having a close up of Mr. Popo’s eyes.

ZakSSJ

Namekians drink water to survive but they can eat for pleasure purposes

Pedro Oliveira

Imagine the Guardian before Kami was Whis

Todd

The symbol on Kamis chest means "God" or "Divine".

David Cabrera

Why Piccolo Jr's voice sound like Stitch? lol

Jake_Ezekiel

Piccolo Jr. is the "Just Piccolo" we all know about. He'll literally be named Junior soon. You'll see.

Daniel Guerrero

Kami sounds like Grandpa Gohan when he said “my boy” ❤️ at the 17th minute

Troinell

Popo handling ssj goten and trunks is just filler, so technically, no popo is not that strong

I have no problem admitting to be a Madisimp :) She is awesome and I've loved watching her reactions since I joined during the Cell Saga. The thing about this episode I was waiting for you to get to it for was Kami's "You must protect your friends better" thing when it was Kami's fault that everything happened. They just gloss over him having accountability.

raz1337

That's the thing about Japanese that just doesn't connect with Westerners. Imagine if you had a show created here with a character like Kami that had an outfit that said "God" written across his chest or "Divine." It'd be weird.

raz1337

I never understood the whole god thing with Kami. He isn't an actual deity as we learn later. He's just a caretaker. Plus we learn everything Kami could do, other Namekians could, including Dende. The real 'God" would be Supreme Kai or Zeno.

The Hype

I like how God is wearing a blue cape with his white shirt saying "God" on it, while Piccolo Daimao wore a similar magenta cape with a black shirt saying "Devil" on it. That proves that Piccolo and God are supposed to be God and the Devil. I do find it interesting how Toriyama makes this arc a lot more interesting considering the fact that the Devil was a part of God's being that was cast out. It does beg the question: why didn't Mr. Popo or God try to stop Piccolo? They can easily beat him with their powers. They are supposed to be guardians of the earth, so what is the point of being guardians if they don't step up to the plate, especially since it is God's fault for creating Piccolo. This is HIS responsibility.

Robbie Pedota

Loved this episode! I’m not sure if anyone asked this but are you guys planning on watching Daima as it comes out each week with us in dub? I feel like that would be such a fun Friday episode once the dubs come out. I’m watching in Sub now but I would love to watch the dub with you guys reacting to it.

Douglas Murray

For now, for the purpose of this arc, let's just call Piccolo by Piccolo Jr to avoid confusion because his father is Piccolo Daimao in Japanese. When we get to Z, then we'll just call him by Piccolo.

Pocket Monster GB

Kami means god in Japanese, and that's what the symbol on his chest means.

Thunder

He's still a god. Trunks refers to Dende as a god in the Buu arc. In the manga, when Kuririn prayed that he doesn't get pitted against a Saiyan in the World Tournament, Piccolo reiterated that he's praying to Dende. So yeah, Kami is a god of Earth regardless.

Todd

I agree. I think its because its easy for us to see it as a symbol rather than a word. They have plain t shirts that just says "FUCK" on the front lol

The Hype

That's retarded. They always just call Piccolo "Piccolo", and his father, "Piccolo Daimao" in Japanese. See this is why the English dub sucks.

CYBRLFT

Lmfao MadiSimp! 🤣🤣🤣 I LOVE that bahahahahaha

CYBRLFT

You really gotta see the ultra instinct transformation in the manga. There’s a wonderful flashback to all these lessons
