I'm going to post the rules of the 2024 HOLIDAY CHALLENGE!!! 

As always, ALL PATRONS will be able to compete :))

Last year was absolutely insane. If I'm not mistaken, we had 14+ winners and the grand prize was a PS5 console!!

Who knew Goku could be so smooth? This is also one of my favorite fights from the original series! As you picked up on while watching, Chichi was intentionally given an original style of fighting and it really shows! Also in the original Japanese version, Oolong recognizes Chichi not from pure memory, but from simply hearing her speak!! From hearing her dialect! Her accent!! Chichi grew up in the mountains far from the cities just like Goku did! So they both speak in a less formal manner and are meant to sound like a "country bumpkin" of sorts! The Japanese voice actor for Goku, Masako Nozawa, has stated that she invented her own unique dialect or way of speaking for Goku to really help him stand out from the more educated and wordy cast of the show! In that way, Goku has a unique way of speaking that he shares only with his wife! (They tried to incorporate it a bit in Dragonball Super by adding words like "ain't" and "y'all" to Goku's vernacular, but I suppose it might've been too little too late for most English speaking audiences since they were already so used to hearing him not talk like that). But it's really sweet that Goku and Chichi share that same accent or dialect! And that's actually how Oolong figures it out, as he states that fact outright in the manga. I always thought it was a cute detail. Also it was long ago, but the age gap between Yamcha and Chichi wasn't as severe as it first appears. In that flashback he pretended to be an admirer of Chichi so he could get close enough to get the Ox King's Dragonball. On another note, please take your time recovering! Get well soon!

See Chiaotzu had a use. Without him fixing the matchups Chichi would've never lasted long enough to fight Goku and Gohan wouldn't exist.

In the subbed version, Goku didn't say what he did in the proposal.. he basically said that he made a promise so they must get married. Which is one of the reasons that I'm glad that i watched db/dbz/dbs in Japaense as well since it's more related to the manga

I think the tracking ki blast attack Krillin used in this episode, is the same attack he uses against the group of Saibamen after Yamacha was killed.

The irony of the dub is that Funimation didn’t adapt the scene where Goku promised Chichi he’d marry her correctly. So contextually that conversation never happened lmao Also when Piccolo said Goku’s attack resembled his family’s style, he meant the Demon clan aka King Piccolo and his spawn.

I think when Krillin saw Chiouzu fly up the mountain when they were heading towards Korins tower was the inspiration behind him learning how to do it but Chiouzu is decommissioned during these fights lol so he’s not around to tell them he helped him.
