Let's see if Madison still likes this arc after the deus ex machina in episode 67. While I understand why it was written that way, my personal opinion is that it completely ruined the Zamasu arc's ability to stand on it's own since it made everything else in the arc pointless.

What I appreciated most of this arc is Vegeta’s interaction with Trunks. We got to see him show a new side to Trunks that Trunks didn’t get to see the 1st time. The “I’m proud of you son” was just a wholesome take because Trunks got to hear that. He was able to have the experience of having Vegeta be a father.

In the manga, during the champa arc kibitokai gathered the namekian dragon balls, thinking champa was after them, and when he was mistaken, he decided to use porunga to defuse with kibito. I think it was a short mention in the anime. Also i loved seeing my favorite attack animated, Final Kamehameha!

one thing i never understood and ill never understand to this day is why vegito didnt have different cloths because the potara earring is supposed to merge whatever outfit you are wearing together aswell an vegeta wasnt wearing the same as he did in buu saga

She literally already mentioned Zeno as a potential way to defeat Zamasu. In writing's terms, it's more of a Chekhov's Gun than a Deus Ex Machina, since it was set up.

The potara retcon happened in Z NOT Super. DBZ retconed itself. All Super did was give an explanation to why Vegito defused inside Buu. There are legitimate complaints to be made about Super, but this isn't one of them.

Kabitokia wished to the namek dragon to unfuse. But this episode drives me more nuts than any dbs episode. I way they should have been able to resist a fusion power like they did. No way old kai didn’t know the one hour limit. And the writers were so lazy they used vegitos OLD clothing which was a combo of the outfit vegeta had in the boo saga, not a combo with his current clothing. 😵‍💫

Awesome episodes. I love Vegeta's line "You invincible son of a bitch" lol. Although I honestly think it would have been cooler if Goku used the Kaio-ken during Kamehameha struggle. That's just me. ---- On another note though. Is anyone else really tired of Vegeta's bs about Fusion. Seriously if we're developing Vegeta can we at least have him not piss and moan EVERY TIME

If you see the aura on trunks new form, its the same as the god forms, this indicates the trunks is using god ki and hes been shown to sense goku and vegetas god ki now This would explain why he is able to match that blue level, because its literally another god form

There is a chance that Akira Toriyama got the inspiration from Journey to the West, which highly highlights the hierarchy of the divine system. When a deity takes a role of a villain, they are still technically deities and will never be beaten by the mortals. Mortals will never be meant to take down a deity, they can only resist, and therefore they have to resort in asking a highest level deity to defeat them. In Journey to the West, Buddha is known to have the most authority among all deities, just like Grand Zeno, so he will be the last resort to defeat high level difficult villains where they have tried everything and none worked. Not even Beerus, Whis, Gowasu, or Vegito could take Zamas down for good.. Son Goku summoning Zeno is just exactly like how Sun Wukong flies up to the Buddha Pure Land to ask for help. I think this writing is quite alright and even consistent (pay homage to Journey to the West), if people actually get the reference. Zamasu got cut in half is like him receiving karma for what he did to his first mortal victim.

I think we all know how the next episode turns out,and I know a lot of people hate the way it ended with the universe erased and everyone on earth dead except for the main cast ,I actually like it,it shows that how a powerful villain zamasu was at the end ,possibly the biggest threat ever even past this arc,and shows that every battle cannot be won,even though it’s sad, I just don’t like the fact wise sends them to a new timeline before the events happened(with other versions of them) especially so suddenly and little explanation ,and we don’t even get to see them there,but besides that for me this is my favorite arc of dragon ball of all

To be fair the retcon started in Z when they split inside Buus body, which was never explained as to why it happened, so Super just used that as a way to get Vegito into an episode and out quicker than you could say "you invincible son of a bitch"

Though TOP fusion would have been stronger than UI. Base Gogeta in Broly is equal to SSB Goku. SSB Gogeta is easily like 1000 times his base. There’s no way Jiren was 1000 times SSB Goku. At best he was like 50-100 times him.

The father son Galick Gun was awesome! And I love how Vegeta told Trunks he’s proud of him right after, just continues to show how much Vegeta has grown. As for Trunks stealing the win, well I think it fits since one of the messages throughout this whole arc has been how he needs to defend his world on his own. The writers just made it clear that Trunks needs to stand strong by himself and that he can do anything with enough effort.

All gods are dicks. The greek ones would probably kill you just for the fun of it. Edit: i didnt notice before, but during zamasu's monologue, his voice echoes off the buildings and stuff. Edit 2: its strange. Vegito, when he first fused here, says "im the fusion of vegeta and kakarot"; later though, he tells zamasu that he has goku's body still. Weird that vegito switches from kakarot to goku

Vegito in this fight is trying to end it quickly. This entire fight is him fighting with absolutely all the power he has because at that point the fusion was all they had left. Continuous fighting at full power blue, and doing a Final Kamehameha drained the energy to hold the fusion so fast. That's why the time limit ran out so quickly. This entire fight was him fighting so hard thinking he had the full hour, but lo and behold, the writer took the fusion dance rules of higher power level equal way less time (Gotenks SSJ3 for reference). Fighting against Buuhan was the only time he held back dragging on the fight because he wanted to save Gohan, Gotenks and Piccolo before killing Buu. Before the retcon, the fusion coming undone was a fluke until the 1 hour time limit was introduced.
