Best arc in super hands down.

Hitrule

Trash ass ending, they know they coulda did better than that shit 👎🏾.

Russell Anderson

I know people have their frustrations, but I love the ending. They defeated Zamasu in all the ways that matter. Super steps into the realm of Gods and divinity and I think it's good to demonstrate that the saiyans are still mortal and there are some things that are out of their control. I think it also establishes some of Zeno's power and will help to stress the stakes towards the end of the series.

Antoine Jones

the badass tournament that drags on WAAYY too long. they need to give this tournament the KAI treatment and reduce it by about 10 episodes and it would be perfect

Doge Creations

I definitely agree, but i think the big issue was how abrupt it was. And after all that, the gods did just come and "fix" it in less than an episode. But yea, i love the idea of this ending, not quite the execution. Though, the zamasu sky IS terrifying asdgdf that was sick.

Russell Anderson

Ya, I was surprised rewatching that this all happens within a section of an episode. It's also one of those Dragon Ball eye roll moments when you cant help but think "Okay, so Goku had the Zeno button in his pocket and it survived several strikes, falls, explosions etc. and managed to somehow travel between the fusion clothes and back"? I suppose you could argue that Beerus would not intervene since it involved time travel and human affairs, whereas Zeno sort of just got transported there and saw an abomination that he detested and wiped it out.

Ayman Aksikas

honestly zeno is kind of messed up he literally destroyed that entire timeline for no reason when he could have just gotten rid of zamasu. Zeno literally accomplished Project Zero Mortals Lol

Carrier98

I’m so hyped for the Tournament! I’ve watched super so many times now and it still gets me hyped when it’s coming😂

Josh Vegitofan17

Madison: "Time to move forward with life together!" Baris glancing at the camera like "just wait....." lol...

Russell Anderson

I am also puzzled by the 2nd Zeno...Obviously, it's overthinking, but I thought it kind of made sense of the prohibition on Time Travel. Seemingly time travel would have to be above Zeno somehow, since spawning a second timeline also spawns a second Zeno. This could be an explanation for why its limited the way it is.

David

What’s more sad is the timeline Trunks lived in is the original timeline, and it was doomed from the start with goku’s heart virus. Poor Trunks couldn’t catch a break.

Robbie Medica

Nah, it established some important things. It established how powerful a wish made on the Super Dragon Balls is, it established how powerful Zeno is, and it created a set-up for the Tournament of Power. Showing just how terrifying Zeno can be along with his child-like innocence raises the hypothetical stakes for the Tournament. Them being able to defeat someone who became immortal through the Super Dragon Balls would absolutely diminish their significance.

Antoine Jones

so to beat buu they needed the spirit bomb of an entire planet put Zamasu who should be stronger was beaten by the spirit bomb of about 50 people? >.>

Antoine Jones

What stakes? You're telling me you've seen PLENTY of dragonball enough to know death never sticks and you honestly thought there were gonna be stakes? As soon as Universe Survival was announced and the universes being erased were the "threat" my first announcement was literally "Meh, we all know Goku is gonna win (cause when doesnt he?) and just wish everyone back like they ALWAYS do" and the only thing I ended up being wrong about is Goku winning (though he technically did, as he (with help) FINISHED the fight, he just wasnt the last one standing in the arena when the dust settled). Anyone who thought anything different would actually happen is clearly not a real dragonball fan, or has really high expectations for a show based on not hing considering its only shown us that it really hasnt changed at all since its inception. Super Hero was the first time he FINALLY got something different. Lets see if it keeps that up or goes back to same old same old. Also this isnt really a spoiler since Madison doesnt read the comments and Baris has seen this already

Nicholas Moore

I like to think that Gohan is out of breath when he comes to say bye because he started training again with Piccolo, insinuating that he'll be relevant in the next arc.. Also, that's the best part of the episode

MayelS

Well, just wait for the best DBS arc

Thicc Thanos

I thought Zamasu should have been redeemed and become part of the squad like Piccolo and Vegeta.

Philipp Weiss

I just realized after watching this years ago that when Zeno wiped out all of existence to kill Zamasu, didn't he wipe out every survivor left on earth as well? Also where is the destroyer and angel from universe 10? Sometimes the writing inconsistencies make it hard to just enjoy the show lol.

Philipp Weiss

Edit: I forgot Zamsu killed everyone else, my bad

Nicholas Moore

The supreme Kai of Trunks's time was killed so their Destroyer died and their Angel left as well.

Nicholas Moore

How else would they have defeated someone IMMORTAL? No other way than someone that can erase existence

CYBRLFT

It was a lazy ending to an otherwise great arc. Unfortunately the Manga ends similarly but I do think it's still better mostly due to less weird plot devices and ass pulls lol. It it ain’t just the ending. In the manga most of the arc is radically different 🤣

Nicholas Moore

This is the only way they could have defeated Zamasu. It's like you're all forgetting he's IMMORTAL. Only thing that could've beaten him was Zeno. Or if Goku wouldn't have forgotten the seal to the containment wave.

Math159823

I love that madison is so involved in the franchise you can just tell she loves dragon ball and the characters

Nickolas Meyer

Probably should have just been like 5 or 6 fighters from each universe instead of 10. Way too many superfluous characters and scrubs.

Corwin Morris

I always get emotional when I see trunks flashbacks of future gohan as he leaves

Childishsloth416

Like many others I don’t like the ending of this arc bc it feel like they erase all the good trunks did for no good reason. All his hard work against the androids and buu just reset like it never happened. The only way this ending could’ve worked is with trunks and Mia staying in the present.

Childishsloth416

This arc and it’s ending is like a bowl of grapes. You could be sitting back enjoying your treat and the very last grape turns out to be sour. It doesn’t ruin your enjoyment but it does jolt you back from the previous sweetness and makes you think “oh yeah” (I’m sorry I don’t have a better way to explain this and I really like grapes😖😅)

RJ

Zamasu is invincible. This ending solves that. Him getting sliced by trunks being the ending would leave us thinking what about his invincibility… as cool as it looked it wouldn’t make sense for him to die like that.

RJ

Also when I watched this in Japanese the translation was immortal. This was the only way to get rid of someone who’s immortal… to erase them. I think that’s also why in English they say invincible. I think it’s them correcting that mistake bc immortal was too far. Just my idea though

Ayman Aksikas

it’s not an inconsistency. everyone on earth was already dead from zamasu in the skys attack they alresdy stated that. then zeno destroyed literallly everything all 12 universes the afterlife everyone is gone

raz1337

My only complaint was that too much was happening in one episode. This could've easily been two episodes.

Damir Zeric

I think it was necessary to show that Zamasu was literally immortal by the wish and it shows that Zeno can even destroy someone immortal so I in a wag understand the purpose.

Damir Zeric

I agree this actually makes it 10/10 if trunks did it then it would make no sense because he was immortal!!! This showcases that Zeno is beyond the super dragon balls wish power...

Malik

"hope was the right choice, and it always will be". the goodbyes always make me cry every time I watch this episode. I loved the fact that vegeta gave trunks the goodbye punch lol, it like his own way of saying stay strong, stay disciplined, and I love you. the way gohan gives trunks that determined look reminds of ultimate gohan. the last few minutes of this episode helps me to continue to believe in a better tomorrow whenever I'm going through today's lows.

Lawrence Telfer

Bro Gohan pulling up and Trunks seeing his timelines version and apologizing. Instant tears. Not just 1 like a Platoon of tears omg

Erik Munoz

I love this ending because they actually lost. Like Avengers: Infinity War, no one was expecting the heroes to actually lose and it just adds so much more emotion. Just my opinion of course. Goku Black Arc is my favorite from Super hands down!

E.J.

Here we go!! Tournament time!!

JF1215

Zamasu was literally everywhere to the point he showed up in the main universe 7 and he basically killed all the mortals in the alternate timeline other than the main characters so Zeno had to do it

T.

lol the easiest solution to trunks and mai co-existing with another version of themselves could be just fusing themselves with theirselves, then they'll be the same person and twice as stong, as a matter of fact if they asked to be merged with the super dragon balls they would be fused forever.

jhawkkaw

I said as much in my comment yesterday. The point of this episode was mostly to show how power Zeno truly is. He can wipe out entire universes including any immortal beings inhabiting it without any effort in pretty much the blink of an eye. It was needed to establish the stakes for the ToP. I just hate that it came at the expense of rendering the rest of the arc as pointless. I wish they had added an additional episode or two after the arc concluded to reveal the horror of Zeno's power.

Angis

Just wondering, when will be the next upload for tier 1? The next something-in a row episodes are technically filler

David Cabrera

Future Trunks should have been part of the TOP hoping to wish to return his previous timeline while struggling to also wish to return the erased universes. Better than they going to a different timeline while pretending that the people there are the same ones they know.

Edgar Santana

Baris you guys plan on doing another podcast soon?I enjoyed the first one you guys did awhile back,I’d love to hear you guys discuss super and GT in depth, how you guys rank all the dragon ball arcs to each other ,etc.

Joe Martinez

When Zeno say “ I’ll destroy it “ gave me the chills

Blake Severson

I've always thought this was one of the best arcs overall. There's just been one major problem I had with both this one and the original future trunks. They should have wished everyone back. He shouldn't have been alone. Yes, Earth's dragon balls don't exist but Nameks do. Goku has been there before on their new world and found them. It's how he recruited Dende to be Earth's new Guardian. There's no reason he couldn't go to the future with trunks at the end of the regular saga and take him to new Namek and wish the others back. If nothing else he could work with current day Bulma to pinpoint their location in space so future Trunks Bulma could whip up a spacecraft to send them there. It's bothered me to this day.

Victor

Think it coulda caused problems, if time travel is as frowned upon as beerus made it sound. Taking future trunks to a tournament could’ve raised a lot of questions and concerns from the other universes since they’d all be there. And if Zeno or the grand priest allowed it then could set a precedent of it being ok in other universes when time travel is supposed to be highly forbidden for mortals. Either way I’m sure Zeno would sided in favor due to goku or him liking trunks but coulda been inconsistent imo if I saw that because of how suprised beerus and whis where when they first found out

Victor

I mean a MUCH stronger goku and Vegeta gave power followed by a MUCH stronger trunks, not saying it’s completely explaining it but it’s less far fetched than you’d think, mean goku, vegeta and trunks were pretty much god like beings at this point with the power they had

Victor

I always thought it was cause he rushed to say good bye to trucks and not miss the opportunity to say goodbye to him. Guess yours makes more sense 🤣

Victor

He did get his moment of glory, whether or not zamasu died or not he was defeated. He just came back 😂 plus I agree with the Zeno plot because the dragon balls from earth and nemek are limited to the power in which who creates them. If trunks woulda killed zamasu imo would’ve put a big damp on the power of the SUPER dragon balls. Would mean whatever god created the super dragon balls power couldn’t super seed a spirit bomb which woulda been hella inconsistent cause those dragon balls are supposed to grant any wish making the creator of them Zeno level powerful. Meaning the immortality wish should’ve been the highest level possible and only one that could supersede that would have to be the omni king Zeno

Mike Smith

All the genki from a fully populated earth was needed to wipe out kid boo…. Merged zamasu was taken out by the combine genki of like 30 people…

Izzy

I love this ending and I think this arc is number 1 cell arc 2 TOP 3

Matt Jenks

Horrible ending 😂😂

Josh

I personally really liked this ending. I couldn't see any other way they could have won, and it was a display of what Zeno can do, a somewhat mysterious character so far in the show.

Josh

Out of all the Dragon Ball arcs, this one is 4th for me. 1st is Cell Games, 2nd is Buu, 3rd is Tournament of Power.

Josh Vegitofan17

That's why Kai sucked, went by way too fast. OG Z being longer made it more enjoyable for me and other fans.

Bxking1124

This ending is why TOP is the best arc in Super

Trey

I really wanna see you guys react to the TOP opening seriously

Ejhaver

Damn I’m kinda sad there going through super so fast, it’s gonna end and then no more dragon ball😢

Trey

Hopefully they drop the new series when their almost done with super

Ejhaver

That trunks scene with Gohan always gets me😢

Brandon

I like that idea too cause I kept thinking why is Gohan all out of breath just showing up to say goodbye to Trunks, even if he wasn't doing anything and he rushed there super fast he's a freaking saiyan, that shouldn't put him out of breath lol but then if he was training with Piccolo why's he in a button-down shirt, a vest, and pants?! 😂

Ed Beckham

I haven't commented in a long time but have been watching in the shadows and enjoying the reactions. But this ending is so controversial and layered, I gotta leave my two cents. I actually like the dark, bittersweet ending as its so unique for Dragon Ball and shows not every war can be won outright and sometimes life hurts. Zamasu's immortal spirit transcending his physical body and becoming one with the universe like Giygas from Earthbound is such a terrifying and impressive feat that no other villain in the series has accomplished before or since. Even Zeno coming in to wipe out Trunks' timeline and reality is fine for me, since it sets up his power for the next arc and the big risks of relying too much on the gods. The one part that is dumb to me and I personally hate is having Trunks and Mai go back to a timeline with duplicates of themselves. Why couldn't they either stay and live in the present time with Goku and friends or go back to the original timeline before Cell showed up and easily dispose of the androids and Cell there? Otherwise, one of my favorite arcs of all of Dragon Ball and Zamasu/Goku Black is one of my fave villains.

Ichigoat

Well there’s a panel happening in October most are speculating it’s a new DBS anime continuing the manga, since everybody is talking about it. And it’s said a mysterious teaser and that new developments in the series will be revealed along with “special guests”.

Ejhaver

Yep October 12 I think but a lot of people are saying it’s promotion for the new game but I’m praying it’s soemthing for anime.

Spectre Six

Honestly, the manga is better than the show entirely. The manga doesn't give you as much of a "rushed" feeling and they had better portrayals of the characters

Ed Beckham

Best arcs for me: 1. Cell/Android saga, 2. tie between Saiyan saga and 23rd World Tournament from DB, 3. Tournament of Power, 4. Zamasu/Future Trunks arc, and 5. Moro DBS manga.

Christian Vazquez

I disliked the ending but then I almost feel it was necessary for us to get the Zeno stuff also it’s nice to not win all the time but still this is one of those times where losing was odd idk I’m very mixed but overall this was definitively the best DBS Arc up to this point.

Adam Carlton

i liked the ending. it showed that zamasu was effectively unbeatable. zeno had to destroy that entire universe/timeline to get rid of him, and it brought full circle the 'button' that our zeno gave goku way back when.

Carlos Saravia

I actually liked the ending. It makes the most sense. Considering Zamasu was immortal.

Victor

Because it benefited Zeno and it’s goku but I meant more or so coulda been bad for the other universes to see goku getting a pass when they already dislike him heavily not to mention other universe would probably want to dip in time travel when it’s supposedly forbidden.

Todd

That part when Trunks sees Gohan and starts crying always gets me. Trunks is right... he wasnt able to save everyone. He and Mai are the only 2 remaining living beings from that multiverse and it took the literal god of everything to rectify the threat of Zamasu. Seeing Gohan at the end like that reminded him of the original goal when the androids were terrorizing earth... and he did in fact fail. Its sad but its just how things are sometimes. He never gave up and did his absolute best with what he had. Crazy stuff.

Ya Boy Johnny

Was looking forward to your reactions of the black saga for a long while now so glad you guys enjoyed it!

Yash Bhageria

While you are at it, skip the god awful episodes 73-74 as well. It’s absolutely disgraceful how low they have potrayed Gohan in those

Blackfeather2000

This ending is garbage! This is where I stop caring about DBS story and just watch it for the forms, cool fights, and Vegeta

Brett Farmer

This ending was designed to highlight the power of Zeno, the point was Zamasu could not be defeated. Zeno was able to erase an opponent that was otherwise unbeatable. This is much more clear in the manga as well. This helps sets up the stakes for the Tournament of Power, and highlights the contrast to Zenos child-like nature.

Howard A Fagan-Solis

I'm not sure why Supreme Kai didn't just heal Vegeta and Goku. if kabbito can heal I assume Supreme kai can. Maybe Trunks can find new Namek and wish Gohan, Vegeta, and Goku back to life there.

Troinell

Yesss! Tournament is power stuff starts next week 🥳

D Vine

He did get an infusional power from two people who have God ki.

lordjaggi

like i always say DBZ franchise got lazy ass writers and that's why this anime no matter what new content they come up with can't compete with the current new animes. In particular ( demon slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen)

Mikasa_Axmn

It was stated multiple times in the manga that only the Supreme Kai's aprentice like Kibito have the power to heal people !

Nerevar, Moon and Star

Man, i can't wait to watch your reaction to dbza (if still doing that). They did trunks/vegeta middle fingers

stefan holerga

Liked the Arc, but not the ending, started so well, but lost the momentum along the way, all the moments didn't culminated into one epic climax as I expected for the ending, 6/10, cell arc is a 10 from me

Leon Nolan

The ending is just rubbish. Trunks already had a timeline he could go to, the one he created the first time. Why did they need to create a new one the just looks like his old one? His mother and everyone else he knew there are still dead.

Devon gillian

No they aren’t dead. They went back before zamasu made black. So maybe right after the buu saga or where battle of gods would be in his timeline.
