Baron's Art Tips. It's always a good idea to consider your possibilities when it comes to the compositions of your art. Give your client and yourself options and opportunities.

These are some ideas I had for a Mermaid Octavia piece that I'll be doing as a patron reward. Now I had a pretty good idea which ones my patron would like, but I did the others just in case they found something else more appealing. Besides I can always recycle the poses for other pieces in the future.

Oh, neat. I have a friend with a seapony character that uses the same abdominal fins.

They all look nice, will be interesting to see what the finished piece looks like.

Can I have all of the above please

BaronEngel

They just seem like a good idea for stability and for me they visually balance out the character nicely.

WarFox

Shouldn't that be written as "MAREmaid"?

If any pony was meant to be a mermaid siren, it's Octavia.

Thwaitesy

They're all awesome and, dare I say, sexy. I recognise 6 as you did mermaid Rosemary in that pose. Of these for Octavia I' go with 2.

BaronEngel

I did use something similar pose to #6 for Rosemary but from a different angle and not quite some head-on. And yes we'll be using #2 for the finished piece.
