The next phase of the game will begin the morning after Connor made his choices the night before. As I talked about in Game Update #37, while I already have a number of variant scenes planned for all of the storylines, it's entirely possible I haven't thought of something that you would like followed up on.

As an example, your day might have played out like this:

You promised Matt you'd hang out but didn't

You propositioned Will

You hung out with Riley in the afternoon, but did not proposition him

You went to the club and hung out with Isaiah

You went home from the club to find Marco jacking off

You decided to join him, and then fully hook up

There are a bunch of questions that you-as-Connor may ask yourself when you wake up: Are you happy you lost your virginity? Do you feel okay about not cumming? Do you want to do it again with Marco? Do you think you have feelings for Marco, or was it just sex? And what about the discussion you had with Will—does this count as enough exploring of your social circle that he'll hook up with you, too?

Then you might run into Riley and Isaiah in the halls, and have encounters with them discussing what you experienced with them the day before. Do you ask for advice from Riley again? Do you talk to Isaiah about the drama he had, or do you avoid him? And what about Matt—do you tell him about your first time? Or do you think he's still mad at you for blowing him off?

That's a lot to cover! And with all the different ways you could have spent your previous two days, there may be situations that didn't occur to me.

I'd love to hear how your playthrough went, what type of questions you think your Connor would ask himself, and whatever else you might want to see as part of the morning after fallout. If you don't feel comfortable commenting but want to give feedback all the same, feel free to DM me!

I actually followed the Owen/Julian path, I would think that after being used by Julian would have a negative side effect. One that shows in his character, perhaps something Matt would notice something is wrong, maybe Owen becomes upset with Julian depending on wether or not your Connor spent the night with Owen. Either way I feel the Professors would notice only because they've seen it enough times to recognize the signs. As for Matt, more Matt please :)

When I started the game for the first time, Asher was my sole aspiration. His recent scene was well done but realistically(since it's an erotic VN) I most oftentimes ended with spying on Alex or something entirely else. I think it would be most interesting to see how Asher ultimately reacts or if it ends his path completely. Riley and Marco are my other favourites among the crew, both loveable and/or venturesome in their own ways. I hope Marco, being his roommate, will always remain a steady go-to guy regarding sexual issues of Connor. Matt's path leaves me a little bit frustrated, mainly due to Connor's naive assumptions about his perceived white knight persona, still there is so much potential(especially if one choose Griffin). It is very sad that Evan and Julian are not persueable love items. I could play the entire game and always come back to inebriated Evan and his endeavours. Julian's special scene indeed was less optimal though. The only character I always left for last is Alex. While his character eventually showed promise, I decidedly reject his chosen career and entourage. His ending left me furious! So admittedly also lots of potential to built upon.... Regarding the future(virgin or not) I hope no path will immediately transition into "Lover ever after", these guys are ready to learn and hopefully will do so in various contstellations!

I am a firm believer that everyone should have a hoe phase, especially when they are young and just coming to terms with their sexuality, so they know what they ultimately want.

Seaton

So I would want Connor hooking up initially, finding kinks he may like (already liking the voyeur/public kink) but I do want him to ultimately find love. Riley is still at the top of my list for Connor's ultimate end-game love interest (at least currently), with Isaiah a close second.

For me I have three major plotlines going in my head to begin with. The first is Will, probably because he is definitely my type. Does he give in and have sex with Connor? Does he make him jump through more hoops before he gives Connor what he wants? There's the Matt storyline, in various aspects. What happens when he wakes up if you spent the night in his bed? Does he join you if he wakes up during the night? What does he think if you spent the night with Leo? And then now we had the Griffin update and you know a little about his sex life there are questions surrounding that, for example, did he have sex with Will or any of the other guys in the story? After the Griffin scene I am sure Connor would want to know more about some of Matt's hook-ups so is that an option? And the other one that got me really interested is Dominic. The fact he identifies (or did) as straight but then kissed either Connor or Evan at the party (practically dry humping). What does that mean? Was he just drunk? Is he questioning? Is he curious or secretly bi? What other things might he be willing to do and what will it take to get him to that point? Obviously there are so many more for all of the characters but those are the three that jumped out.

I definitely want an option to have more involved sex with Owen. It was nice that he was there while you jerked off, but I want him to give in to his feelings and have some hot interactions with Connor.

Freshmen: Physical Education

I hadn't considered that Tomas might notice something off about Connor, that's actually a great in for his story. There will definitely be Owen & Julian consequences. And much more Matt. I actually just wrote part of a Matt scene yesterday and it's... well, I won't spoil, but it's *good* 😉

Freshmen: Physical Education

I'm curious what you mean about a white knight persona when it comes to Matt. Does it come across like Connor wants to try and save Matt from himself? Or that he thinks Matt wants to white knight him...? There definitely isn't any immediate "lover ever after." It won't be until the last third of the game before you even have to commit to anyone if you want a romance. So you'll be free to explore your options before then. And even once you do decide to go steady, as it were, that's not the end of the storyline - there's going to be complications. Lots of them, depending on the character. Asher's romantic attraction definitely takes a hit if he catches you, but it won't close off his path. It'll just be more difficult to get in his good graces again. Just in general you can assume I won't completely kill a path unless you consistently make some *really* bad choices. I knew the Alex path would be somewhat frustrating because his whole situation is just wildly outside Connor's comfort zone - I didn't quite intend furious, so sorry about that 🙂 With romancing him, you actually need to do the opposite of what it may seem like he wants - that is, call him out on his bullshit when he goes into cocky gamer mode. I think how his dialogue changes afterward hints at how his story can proceed if you invest in it - so, like you said, plenty of potential to build on. As for Evan and Julian... never say never. I had specific character reasons as to why they aren't romanceable, but Evan in particular is *very* different than my initial idea for him. The response to both of them is actually a good example of how player feedback influences the story - it's entirely possible I may change their romanceable status as I write.

Freshmen: Physical Education

I do very much plan to let Connor explore hooking up while still having an option for romance. What I didn't really consider is how kinky it'll get - I viewed the sex in this game as more "mainstream," as it were, but I suppose him going full voyeur or having public sex counts 😉 There was originally going to be a separate path through the Alex hookup that got cut because it didn't make sense story-wise. I may come back to that later when it makes more sense, because it does up the kink level. I think Alex and the Skinema guys are good choices for that type of sexual encounters in general. And there's actually some wildly kinky stuff that can happen with a certain other character that I didn't think of as kinky, but now that we're on the topic, the scenarios *definitely* are. My filthy mind conjured up a specific choice during a hookup scenario with that person that's wildly scandalous. So I guess there are some non-mainstream parts already planned after all, haha. I may just lean into it more as Connor furthers his exploration...

Freshmen: Physical Education

Excellent questions for Connor to ask. I actually have plans for all of these scenarios but didn't necessarily have them set as questions that'd be asked of you in-game, so this is very helpful. I'll add that Matt & Will's questions will be answered when the story update drops. I actually just wrote part of the Matt scene yesterday. Dominic's questions will take a tad longer to be answered, but I'm very glad to hear you're intrigued by his story. He's not necessarily someone I'm asked about a lot, but I think the stuff I have planned for him is gonna be pretty interesting, so I hope other players give his story a try as it develops!

Freshmen: Physical Education

There will definitely be more involved sex with Owen as the story continues 🙂 It's *slightly* a slowburn, but not as much as a few of the other guys. Your comment did just inspire me to adjust something coming up, so it will maybe take less time than I originally planned for that to happen.

StoriesbyBigD

Definitely looking forward to the next update then. Got to hope for some more hot CGs too. If Matt and Will hooked up especially haha.

Hi, I really like this game so far!!! I just have a few questions about the further development since there are so many CGs at the beginning days and so many words to tell everyone's different background and their stories, whether with Connor or themselves. Therefore, I just want to know how you planned this story length because I think there really a lot of things that you can develop. Furthermore, for now, I'm eager to see what happens between Connor and professors. For me, I have almost finished everyone's CGs and stories without a few of NC17 and some that are under Connor's page. I think when Connor wakes up the next day, a warm morning will solve the situation, and I really want Connor to have a further relationship with them. For Matt, my point of view is almost the same as the above D, Matt is so fucking hot!!! I can't wait to see more CGs of Matt!!! When I think about what you are trying to ask, I don't want to interrupt your original storyline, and I think if you want to make a very long story with so many characters, you should really careful with the story change point. Then, I think after the first two days, the following story should focus on which one I have chosen to get sex with, like other visual novels, once I choose Griffin as my partner, some of the other characters might not be available to do the interaction. I have seen so much game progress that you have updated, and I really think if this game is a very long one, and everyday you are going to put so many CGs, you might get too stressed, and what going to happen after Connor finish the sex assignment? that is end of game? Or the main storyline is showing up? I know it is not possible for you to change all the programs now, but I really think it is important for you to come up with a whole story and then continue to the programming and produce the CGs. However, that's really fine for you to have a short storyline but a lot of hot CGs (CGs are the most players coming for 'I believe').

bobbbyagou

I am really looking forward to what happens next in this game, and there is one more thing that I want to say. Maybe you can put some basic BGM in the story, the silent voice, while the hot CG, and it makes me feel something that is not right. I will definitely continue supporting you to see this game's final version!

StoriesbyBigD

Obviously I can't speak for the author but when I have thought about doing a story where you choose your own path there are definitely different lengths to the branches. More to the point, as the story goes on I would assume some of the branches will reach a natural end before others. Those with potential to be long term love interests will likely continue further than those with guys who are essentially a hook-up and thus things will become more focused the deeper you go as the choices thin out. I could be completely wrong though. Either way I have huge respect for what is being created here.

FYI: I am way behind in everything because we had a very bad lightning storm about 2 weeks ago and my computer's hard drive got zapped. Luckily there was a GREAT computer repair shop in the city I live in, not too far away. The owner came to my apartment, but couldn't fix it so he took it with him. I just got it back a day ago and while all my data was intact, as far as everything else went, it was all at factory-reset. I've been reloading programs and trying to reset my preference, and right now, I'm having to read my email online at my ISP, because I haven't gotten my email program on my computer working yet. *SIGH* ***ANYWAY*** I would like to see more of Dominic in some storylines, --- perhaps "the dorm" might have a competition among themselves to see if one of them can get the "straight" boy to bottom -- and that guy ends up getting really, really emotional attached to "straight" Dominic -- and where that might lead. (Just how "straight" is Dominic? Might this just be a heartbreak storyline?) (In general, I'd like to see more involvement with the various people of color characters in your game (and are there any Asian (not Indian) guy(s) yet?).) It would also be interesting (depending on how much you know and how much research you want to do) if you went into culture difference and perhaps have characters who are not that skilled in colloquial American English, which might lead to interesting situations. ==TOTALLY IMHO ====

Briannon-Faie

Regarding Matt, I merely meant that Connor has his infantile recollections blinding him to what Matt currently has evolved to(pristine paladin to promiscuous heartthrob). He's learning fast, but especially with the scenario at Matt's apartment his consideration towards Matt was at times unnerving. As I see Matt, he might object to some decisions, but he wouldn't sever his ties with Connor because of some harmless sexual experimentation. Still hope for a polyamorous bond between Matt/Marco and Connor ;-)

Freshmen: Physical Education

Sorry to hear about the computer troubles! I live in constant fear of that exact situation. 3 of the 9 romance options are Asian: Dominic, Alex, and Griffin. The latter two are featured in the new update. The other two featured romance options in the new update are Black. I think the cast is pretty diverse, so I'm curious how that hasn't come across. Maybe because of the three hangout options, many of the poc main characters ended up at the club? Anyway, Dominic will definitely be getting attention. These early scenes are more on-on-one, but I'm going to have a dorm gettogether in the next stretch of the game so the 10 dorm guys + Riley get to mix & mingle with each other. I probably won't have a "turn the straight guy" competition, but certainly some banter is in order between the many queer boys on the floor and the sole straight guy.

Freshmen: Physical Education

That explanation makes perfect sense, I see exactly what you mean. Right now I think both of them have a bit of culture shock, as it were, with Connor entering this new reality and Matt being reminded of his old one. But it's early days yet 🙂

Freshmen: Physical Education

I definitely want to add background music and ambient noise. I looked for ways to do it when I started the club update, but sadly most of the stock music/sfx sites I looked at don't let their tracks be used in adult games. I'll keep searching... The story is all plotted out, and it's not really a short one. I don't want to cut anyone off from other characters early on because that feels too limiting and unnatural. How I have it planned is that there are a number of different character storylines running concurrently. You as a player can only be in one place at a time, so in that sense you're locking yourself out of things, but you'll be able to branch back to other stories as you go along. In addition to that, with each stretch of the game I assign you a relationship status with each character and write interactions based on which status you have. That way you'll still be able to talk to anyone you want, but the people you spend the most time with will have the most content with you. While playing, your choices will shift your relationship statuses further. It is very complicated, but I do a whole lot of planning to keep it organized. In older game status update posts I was showing flowcharts and such for the game. Now that we're heading into a new phase of the story, I'll be doing that again so we can all see what roads lay ahead of us.

DCM

I'm really enjoying the thought and level of detail you are putting into the game! It sounds like you already have so many great ideas for where to go from here. I haven't played through every path yet, so it's hard for me to offer detailed feedback on how I think the story should continue. However, I think a big reason why I haven't gotten through everything yet is the sheer complexity of the story line. You've got a large (and growing) cast demanding equal attention along with a lot of choices about how to spend your time. In your post you list six possible points where the story could diverge, which assuming only a Yes/No choice would be 2^6=64 different outcomes at the end of the current chapter (and even more once you account for all the different characters you can spend time with). For now, most of those choices haven't had a significant impact, but it sounds like you are planning for them to in future updates, which will likely mean a lot of writing for a lot of different variations of the same scene (or multiple alternative scenes). Even with good flow charts, I imagine at some point it will get a little frustrating to try to tie up all the loose ends. Personally, I really think the key focus for the next update should be on if you lost your virginity was it what you expected and did it actually help you be more authentic in your writing (if not, what now), and if you didn't choose to do so, do you regret missing out (and what now). Plus, you'll end up in a similar spot regardless of which exact path you followed to get there,

RP

I feel like all my playthroughs have been pretty straightforward - I tend to pick one guy and stick with him as much as I can, then when I get to the end I restart and pick a different guy for the new run. So my questions are probably already on your list, but anyway: How does Connor feel about hooking up for the first time? (Or not quite hooking up, for those guys where it isn’t possible) Should he talk to Matt about it? Should he talk to the guy he hooked up with about how he feels, or should he try to play it cool? Should he check back in with whoever he got advice from the previous afternoon?

Freshmen: Physical Education

Yeah, the iterations can definitely spiral out of control if I'm not careful. I've got plans for how to write each character each day that I'll talk about in a game update at the start of next month, and I *think* it'll help. The morning will definitely be spent thinking about his virginity, the loss or not thereof, and then immediate reactions from various guys before following a set path through the rest of the update.

Freshmen: Physical Education

For me when writing, the "follow one guy" playthroughs are definitely the easiest to manage. Those are questions he'll be asking, though I don't think I really set concrete plans for talking to the afternoon guy if he didn't also spend the evening with them. I'll need to do that!

Tom Swift Sr.

I have to say, the more I thought about it, that was a really dumb suggestion by me. *sigh* I should have posted after staying up way past my bedtime, but I had FINALLY gotten my computer back from being repaired and seeing your post about possible ways the story should go, I want to make SOME suggestion before everyone else came up with great ideas! I guess what I was trying to go for was that I don't know how much you want to keep things *fun* and how much really drama of the type that can happen in those years in college as the young adults are still going emotionally and maybe even physically. I can see one of the students falling into a one-side love relationship with Dominic and just how straight/bi is he anyway? College life is a lot about choices and not all of them are good -- and often end up bad. And most everyone seems to get along with everyone else -- what about the guy or guys who are nice — but don't fit in? Maybe they are a klutz; maybe they are shy and really don't know how to socialize, maybe they are naïve and get taken advantage of. (Yeah, I'm think of my own college experience; trying me one of 7 Philosophy majors at a college where the other 2,500+ students are Business or PE majors (and what about the ACTUAL *Physical Education* classes at the college these students are going? Are there any sports teams? A gym? A pool?) With regards to the racial mix -- I will admit I have NOT played that far into your game for a simple reason: When I start a game (or an actual book, since this is a visual "novel") I want to keep playing (and reading) as much as I can into the story. So with some of the games I support here on Patreon, I wait until there have been two or three updated releases *before* I continue playing, simply because I want the game to last longer and my enjoyment of it. (I must admit, my actual reading of novels does also interfere with how much I play games. I literally have hundreds and hundred of books I want to read -- and I have about 50+ games on Steam that I own, most of which I have yet to play! DECISIONS, DECISONS! And I am starting to run out of years left to play games and read books, so I want that to be both many and good ones as I can find (not to be morbid). One thing I really LOVE about your game is that your characters not only act different, they LOOK very different. And it is not only the racial mix, but, well, you give them often different builds and not simply different hair colors and even (*gasp*) very different looking cocks and balls. (How about some not-so-in-shape guys -- or ones who are really tall or really short? That could add for some interesting interrelations.) AND, **YES** sometimes I write really LONG messages because I'm a frustrated author. ***

Freshmen: Physical Education

I too tend to write very long messages. It's the writer in me, haha. Tonally, I want there to be enough reality to keep it grounded, but it overall trends a little more lighthearted. Basically letting people live out a fantasy while still having enough engaging realism there so it's not just a string of sex scenes. So I won't go super heavy, like Straight!?, but I also won't be doing a strict sex fest. Just comfortably in the middle, being kind of funny, kind of dramatic, and a lot of sexy 😉
