Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to update you guys on the standee situation since I was really excited these last few days. As you can see above, these are images from the factory where the standees were being produced.

When I first looked at them I was very excited, however under more scrutiny I realized there may*** be some issues with the print job. As you guys know, I decided to go with different designs on the front and back so that everyone could flip the standees and have different outfits on each side. Unfortunately I didn't realize that some manufacturers don't add white to the ink so the acrylic can appear see-through instead of be opaque. This is why Kyro's white outfit appears pinkish and Clove's chest shows the back design. I brought up this issue with the manufacturer but they assured me it was due to the bright light from behind and that in normal light, the back design does not show. (Still industry standards say that white ink is necessary when working with varied designs otherwise the colors will bleed into each other).

I was planning to have another give*away this month with the new standees but truthfully, I would never want to sell/give away anything that I personally would not use myself. Perhaps I am crazy and too much of a perfectionist but for the time being I'm going to be conservative and say that the standees could be delayed since I am not 100% sure/happy with the quality.  Right now, I am waiting for the order to be shipped so that I can take proper pics and show you guys what these images look like in normal lighting vs. back lighting. I REALLY hope to be pleasantly surprised and that the standees will look amazing but I have already spoken to the manufacturer in case we need to redo these.

SIGH~ Ok rant is over. This issue has been beating me down for the last few weeks so I've been a bit out of it. If I had simply stuck with 1 design and not tried to be extra I feel I would have completely avoided this issue.... :"D Oh well, you win some and lose some. Please let me know what you guys think.

Even if I cannot do a full standee give* away I will look into doing something else for Christmas! Thank you guys for being so sweet and supportive as always! :D

They are beautiful, but I definitely understand not wanting to sell/give something you created away that doesn't measure up to your personal standards. Stay positive!

It's okay June! I'm like you about these things so I get it. Hopefully they turn out great as is (because they look really cool) but if you have to let go of the double sided idea, that's fine too! Whatever needs to happen for you to feel good and proud of your product is most important. 💕

Love the look of them! And I think you should def follow your own standards on them. That sounded like salesperson talk from the manufacturer and they should more try to offer a solution than an excuse. imo.

I worked in production, and I am so not surprised. We always expected issues with the quality and some kind of half excuse. It still looks very nice!

I still think they’re super cool—but I understand you want them perfect. We appreciate your hard work into getting this done either way !!

I think they look amazing, but if you are not comfortable keep asking for changes until you do. I definitely would buy even a doodle on a napkin haha I love Clove and Kyro's character design
