So it's been a behemoth of an editing effort, but the end is finally in sight.

For the latest Mount and Blade Bullshittery video, I have successfully edited about 22 minutes of the final 25 minute cut. With the remaining 3 minutes only really requiring the text and animations as most of the cutting and transitions has long since been finished. Thank you for being so patient with me.

The remaining 3 minutes should take about 3 days to complete. At which point I'll be able to start the quality-assurance effort for the second half. So that should mean that by the end of Tuesday next week I'll be entering the first test renders and looking for errors, etc.

There are some flies-in-the-ointment however. The nature of my workflow means that I generally leave the most complicated parts until last. As things like audio balance and Effects Presets in After Effects are frustratingly difficult to check pre-render. And there is a bit of green screening that I'd like to do. So if there's something that trips me up and delays me during the QA phase, that wouldn't really surprise me. But I'm aiming to, by the end of next week be very close to completion.

After that I was initially thinking of dropping back to the DayZ critique thing for the next part. But at the same time I've been browsing through the available clips for CSGO, Arma and PUBG - the more popular entries - and realise that I almost certainly have enough footage for any of them. And they'd probably go down very well after such a long haul edit. Any preferences or thoughts from anybody? :)

I love your CSGO and ARMA vids and would always enjoy more

Jakob Brink

The DayZ thing seemed like it was coming along nicely...

Freddy Trejo

I would love to see you do the day Z critique!

Schraubedrin

I'm always in favour of finishing your DayZ critique. Your viewers are now used to long waiting times anyway :-D

Justin Cox

Either option would be great. I'd like another bullshittery, but with the DayZ so close to being finished....

Benji

Finish the full DayZ first, take your time dude, we've still got all your streaming in-between YouTube videos anyway

Azure

I'd love to see the completion of the DayZ soapbox. I know many friends who are really wanting another CSGO or PUBG video soon, so you do you.

Finn Radloff

100% want to see the DayZ Video

Brian Liebeg

CSGO is great for random BS, and fun. Arma is great for situational humor, and complications thereof. It's a coin-flip really, though arma edges up a bit for me.

Great to hear sir, keep up the amazing effort. Honestly any choice you make between CSGO, Arma or PUBG will always go down a treat, maybe try to go for the easiest option for you? (don’t you deserve a small breather?)...tho the last time you said you were picking an ‘easier’ topic you did end up sort of going over your initial time frame and editing the crap out of it, it was still exceptional like most of your work. I am eager to see how your DayZ critique turns out, I was so enjoying them. It must be quite a task to have so many options and projects in the works, I don’t know how you keep sane throughout the whole process? Good luck with the upcoming challenges, big hugs and belly rubs for you and lovely Lulu.

Alex Wade

Really looking forward to this latest one and definitely excited for the dayZ videos. Arma would be my choice but I’m probably biased as I’m currently obsessed with it

Anthony Charles West

its been about a couple months or so with this vid? im looking forward to it being out mate. in all honesty, I think it would be advisable to finish up your DayZ critique, but that's just me

The Ferret

DayZ is brilliant, but if you've got your heart set on bullshittery how bout some PUBG?

SovietWomble

Honestly folks, I'm pleased that you find the video essays so intriguing :) Which is doubly good because there's a whole bunch of other things I'd love to also cover in video essay form when there's time. Some topics I'd love to at some point, squeezed between the comedy : 1.) An analysis of the Battlefield franchise and what makes it work. 2.) Why Darth Revan is a fascinating character 3.) Why Mechwarrior 4 represents a lost-art in the gaming industry. 4.) What Creative Assembly keeps failing to understand about Total War. 5.) Skinnerboxes and why their so insidiousness. And a lot of these already have rough scripts brewing. All for the future though, not right now :)

Superstick

I would love to see the critique, It's been fascinating so far. Speaking as someone that has never played Day Z the critique has seemed to be fair and balanced and has given me insight into the game... I think the wider/more vocal fan base need another bullshittery though, unfortunately I think you need to appease the masses (for lack of a better phrase) for a few weeks.

I'd like to see an Arma or PUBG video before you jump back into the DayZ videos. As I recall those are nearing completion? Think you'd be able to finish them in one more sprint?

Otto von Baden

Either sound excellent to me. I haven't seen any of the essays yet, but the listing you posted earlier has intrigued me. However, after said behemoth, I would take the easier route for a bit of a breather. Some new Arma sounds nice.

Joseph Shearsmith

It's probably been addressed before but is there anywhere the DayZ critique can actually be watched? I've gone back through the Patreon but none of the old links worked. Am I doing something wrong? Will all parts be released publicly upon completion of the final one?

Melissa Sutter

Even though i would love to see the DayZ critique completed, i don't think your (casual) viewers would appreciate it. I don't mind waiting for quality content but most of your audience would probably lose their shit when having to wait for more than a month for the next video twice in a row. But that's just my personal opinion, do whatever you think is best :) (There are probably a lot of grammatical errors in this text, but it's 4am right now and i don't care)

clarizza

CSGO or PUBG woohoo :))) (saying this in advance) Great work, Womble!

Gil

Can you check Guild Wars 2's Super Adventure Mode on Tribulation Mode? It runs until April 19th.. It could get really funny <3

Kyo

How is the D&D video goin'?

Bullet Magnet

I'm really looking forward to this. I get frustrated hearing people ask why you've not done a bullshitery on Twitch 100 times daily so fuck knows how irritating it is for you. Maybe you could introduce a catchphrase for those moments along the lines of 'Sub for updates or suck a dick' Glad to read you have footage for a PUBG or CSGO vid, both are breeding grounds for hilarity. (About to attempt a Jedi mind trick) 'You will also make a Rising Storm bullshitery' Did it work?

Emil G

I would like you to revisit the DnD video again.

Nicky

Don't you have enough for Rising Storm 2? Putting Nevil's voice in every Vietnamese line would be a hell of a job, but funny too though

Rachel D

A DayZ Bullshittery would be fantastic but if not Arma is just as funny, need some fresh Nevil content!

ZombieRonSwanson

all three sound good, but I would lean more towards CSGO or PUBG

Phambon

A CSGO / PUBG bullshittery would be nice, and possibly use less footage to make it a bit shorter. Partly because it's nice to have shorter videos mixed with the longer ones, and then after this one you could go back and make another push at the DayZ critique video :)
