ZF DayZ Standalone server for those interested (Patreon)

Good evening folks.

Just to get you know that myself and some other ZF members were poking The DayZ Standalone 1.0 version, now that it's remade in the Enfusion Engine. We were hoping to build a base and engage in old DayZ-style shenanigans.

If you have the standalone and you're interested in trying it out you're welcome to join in. It's name is "ZF's Official Target Range" and the password is "itsasecret".

We were discussing whether it was wise to make it unpassworded. But worry that if we did that it'll be full 24/7 and quickly attract griefers. So...perhaps it's wiser to share it with our various followers and gauge interest then? Not sure how long it'll last or whether its any good now. That's what we're trying to figure out tbh. But if you give it a go, hope to see you on Chernarus...preferably through a sniper rifle sight.

Also I can't really guarantee the server will be there this time next week, since this is an experiment really. The ZF guys could try it and go "nah, it's still crap" and then go back to waiting again. This whole thing is an experiment really.

gives me a reason to finally buy DayZ, but might hold till i see if the server is going to hang around for a while. in the meantime i'll continue poking Scum which seems to be coming up more level to DayZ.

You made me redownload it, joined the server, got assaulted by a guy with a sledge hammer, i had the rock knife, we knocked each other off at the same time, we got back up but he dropped the sledge, i got it first and beat him to death. God i missed this game

Managed to get geared up, logged off and got some food, turned on Twitch and saw Edberg and Chubb driving past my log off point. I was so close to being ganked.

Will do a proper post later, but apologies as the server is going through a re-think at the moment since we are probably going to have to change hosting boxes. Also it looks like the others want to do a whitelist. But I'll find out how to access said whitelist as soon as I can.
