Good evening folks. I hope you're all have a smooth week. Over here it's editing day 6. And here's an update on the latest bullshittery.

Last week, my objective was to take all of the remaining Arma 3 Antistasi highlights in the project file, and turn them into one final Antistasi bullshittery episode. Which would also function as the series finale.

And on that front I succeeded in about 4 days of cutting, but oh my god it's a monster.

The current rough cut footage consists of about 16 minutes of the usual gags and tom-foolery. And then about 6-8 minutes of a finale sequence, showing the canonical fate of the resistance in this play through.

This means it's looking like a 20-25 minute episode. Which is very much a yikes from me!

It's also difficult to cut in half due to what I'm planning to do with the ending. If it works, it'll be quite slow-burn, meaning without the preceding jokes, the second half wouldn't be as captivating. I hope it'll make more sense when you see it. But I think I need to keep it as one complete whole.

So with the rough cutting complete by day 4, I've been spending the last two days on the text and animations. Reaching the 2 minute and 40 second mark. I'm going to keep slugging away.

I'm playing with the idea of trying to get the first half to you as soon as possible, rather than starve you for content for so long. Let me see what I can do. It may even prove more sensible for the overall quality control to do it in chunks. I'll get back to you as soon as I can on that.

Sounds fantastic to me! I love watching your longer videos so I'm ready to wait as long as you need to be able to make it right! Keep up the good work!

The Ferret

A long video doesn't sound too unreasonable and for QA it might be best to dripfeed in chunks, as it's easier to spot thing. (Though I freely admit I'm not usually one of the ones who notices those things so I'll bow to their opinions)

Nicky

So what is your estimate of working days then? Don't mind waiting, took them ages to finish The Irishman, I'm used to waiting

MacZeuss

Womble take all the time you need, you always push for quality and so no one would want to rush you. I don't even mind having a 40mim video if there is going to be one, it would be a great finale to the series

Midnight Matter

I am excite to see the fate of the Badgers. Let's see if they'll be crushed, become overlords or somewhere in between.

Sean Hearrell

I think maybe if you just put up a short ~30 second to a minute video saying “hey all, it’ll be a bit, but I promise the wait is worth it!” Maybe a cut to Lulu being cute too. But I definitely think if cutting the video in half will ruin the joke, make us wait!

Schraubedrin

Have you ever thought of outsourcing the keyframing to speed up your editing?

April

Don't stress too much about leaving us hanging for longer than usual. I'd prefer to have the joke intact than to mess it up by splitting anything. I'm perfectly happy with longer format videos as well. Especially when they are as funny and engaging as yours are!

Mark Dennehy

Makes sense to have it be a little longer - this isn't really a standalone piece, given that there's been a bullshittery or two from this game with this run-through in the past, it's got a small degree of arc-ness to it.

DCAR

Don't forget the extended director's cut with twelve seconds of extra content (or bellyrubs).

Tom

Take your time, Soviet. Your quality control and attention to detail is what puts your videos above the rest. A longer video may take more time but it'll be worth it in the long run. Just make sure to take some time for yourself and don't get burned out!

PizzaDiPasta123

As always: the videos take as long as they take. Don't stress yourself with self-imposed deadlines. Take care of yourself, take appropriate breaks and remember - we know that what you produce is quality content and quality takes time. And also as always since it's brought up in the comments here a lot: if you need help with QA in the end or inbetween, just give us a shout. I'm always up for spellchecking, if you want me to ;)

Tilted_Tobbe

Personally I really don't mind waiting for the quality content you produce. Take whatever amount of time you need! Looking forward to seeing the video

Flare

Your video's are without a doubt fantastic. Take your time and don't rush and i'm sure it will be amazing once again!
