By the Grace of their Illustrious Majesty, this House so orders the formal preparation for the immediate mobilization of the Crown Forces to defend it from any eliminate invasion by external powers and to help provide order during a state of emergency with a Qualifying Authorization Vote in Parliament.

Their Illustrious Majesty will retain Their Right as Commander and Chieftain of the Crown Forces in all matters of warfare concerning the Realm to direct the Crown Forces in any military action.

Below Their Illustrious Majesty, overall control and structuring of the Crown Forces shall be held by a Field Marshall of the Immersian Army appointed by Their Majesty to act as its chief administrator and commissioner.

In respect to the commissioning of officers within the Crown Forcers and in the interest of preserving the Pax Nobilis, all Peers of the Realm bearing the name of their Noble House shall be granted the privilege of the direct purchase of an officer’s commission (no higher than the rank of Major General) for the equivalent bond of a years salaried service payable directly to the Immersian Treasury.

In respect to the recruitment of Soldiery, any healthy mortal who would volunteer for the Crown Forces as an enlisted soldier will be entitled to a payment of 3 months wages paid directly to a designated dependent by their Colour Sergeant.

In respect to the commitment to the Monarch’s Peace and the prevention of any wrongdoing by the Soldiery and Officer Corps during the prosecution of any war by the Crown Forces, their Majesty will also retain control of a force of a Provosts Martial who shall be appointed directly by Their Majesty with the intent of investigation and prosecution of any corruption, illegality, enemy spycraft or violations of the Rules of War within the ranks of the Crown Forces.

No purchasing of commissions as a Provost Martial shall be permitted under any circumstances.

Proposed Amendment: Requesting an amendment to prevent the establishment of solider blocs sharing origins of a single house that extends from the enlisted up to the aforementioned purchasable officer commissions to prevent the formation of "House Companies" that would arguably answer to a single Noble line and would become a potential threat in the case of coup, betrayal, or other potential forms of rebellion/treason by the Noble house.

Yes with amendment: Given the war effort will inevitably require a number of Specialist-class troops with valuable specialized knowledge, it is important to note that while many mortals are qualified for a Specialist role in The Crown's army, many of these potential Specialist-class operatives are ... not exactly "mortal" in the strictest sense. Reports have come up of constructs, undead, multi-dimensional/fractional-dimensional life forces, even things described as "living animated drawings", most wandering the countrysides doing what some of them call "The Good Work" in providing independent humanitarian aid wherever it is needed. These specialists, both mortal and non-mortal/non-reality, are qualified for a Specialist class that should be created in the above rank system and be well-integrated into the overall command structure under The Crown for all reasons of unit stability and domestic/international peace. It is further suggested that these Specialists be given the appropriate salary for the duration of the war. (It should be known that some territories may use the term "warrant officer" to describe a Specialist.) A set of four Specialist ranks are proposed - Specialist 1 through Specialist 4 - alongside annual salary suggestions: Specialist 1 (S1) - 5K Specialist 2 (S2) - 10K Specialist 3 (S3) - 15K Specialist 4 (S4) - 20K An additional salary bonus may be given dependent on an individual Specialist's total experience, area of study, and technical knowledge in that Specialist's field, with written permission from the Crown and from Parliamentary approval as current war circumstances permit. It is **strongly encouraged** that this amendment should extend to both mortal and non-mortal volunteers. Men, women, people, warriors, and beings from all across The Great Planar Sandwich have volunteered to fight, and perhaps fall, for The Realm; and so they should be honored equally.
