Hello again!

Silly as ever of me, I totally thought this would be done much sooner. I figured this would be a shorter story. I also started a week earlier than usual... aaaand then I started dealing with some weird nerve & muscle stuff in my left arm. It's nothing huge, but it's the kind of pain that shows up in one spot and then another, and it's kind of a deterrent to typing. (Have no fear, I'm seeing a physical therapist, I'll be fine.)

Anyway! This month's short story is the Wandering Monsters crew, as I promised elsewhere. I feel like I could develop this into a larger story later, but like I said, I started out thinking it would be shorter in the first place. :)

Take care, everyone!

Great short story! I loved Scar's retort to the Baron at the end; it made me laugh out loud! Cheers!

Huh. This one is even a bit timely, given the the costs of raising and sending in an invading army. And yes, this one reads as the first part of a longer story.

One other thing. I imagine Dastia can be a bit old-fashioned at times, and "door" originally had the meaning of a gate or the opening to get into a dwelling. Not sure how much Yargol or War Cloud are into indo-european etymology, however.

Great read! Thank you so much for posting it. Loved how the crew rolled their eyes at Scars' plan to win.

I hope you feel better soon, and that it’s your non-dominant hand!
