Hi all!

Figured it was time for another adventure-type Good Intentions story.

I swear, I started writing this one like a week earlier than I normally start for the Patreon. I had family coming in at the end of the month, so I wanted to get it out of the way... and then it turned out to be one of those stories you have to stop and start and restart all over again. Several times. The end product is pretty straightforward, I think, but the back-end (in software terms) is way more convoluted than it seems...

...and then we developed a roof leak in our house. So I've been running around getting that fixed, too. Wanted to have this one out on the first, but instead, I'm here to do my John-Belushi-in-Blues-Brothers-apologizing-to-Carrie-Fisher impression for you.  :)

I hope the payoff is worth the wait. Take care!

EDIT: Oh, and I meant to note! I wrote Natural Consequences in 2013-2014, when the transit tunnels were for buses. Now the buses are all gone and it's all light rail. My books are so dated already!  XD

History through the prism of Alex never gets old. And as a Seattleite, thank you for covering the topics you did, and the way you did. And for how your stories always have stuff to make me laugh out loud (the arsenal) even when they get real and serious.

Definitely worth the wait. I like how this story hits all of the corners of the GI narrative in a compact way.

Good one. Lots of real dramatic tension here. Your descriptions of places and the environment are also more vivid than usual. But where were poor Antonia’s angel?

Great story, as usual. I really enjoy the social commentary - in the form of Alex's paper. I loved the end where just rescued young woman is standing next to Alex and Lorelei and she's "Yeah, calling me a cab and never seeing you all again works for me..." None of that silly, "Oh, my hero, how can I ever repay you..." I wonder, does Rachel fix the calling logs on the cellphones so that when one of her angels misdirects a call to Alex's phone that the calling records get erased? Seems like it might be a good idea to keep Alex's phone number from spreading.
