Hi everybody!

Biggest Update: The next POOR MAN'S FIGHT is ready to go! I'm doing a super-short pre-release for No Man's Land, planned for tomorrow with a release of next Tuesday (October 10th)! I'll post links here and in all the usual places.

Today, however, we check back in with Evan Murphy—and some familiar faces for all my GOOD INTENTIONS readers! Seriously, if you're into Good Intentions, you'll want to read these stories. I'm not sure if this will be my next front-burner novel project, but it's cooking one way or another. :)

Quick links for the first two chapters, if anyone hasn't checked them out yet:

Very excited for the Poor Man's Fight to come out. Are pre-orders (Amazon Kindle) for you or does it matter? I guess that leads to a Business of Writing question. For those of us who aren't authors, how do you organize the business side of things? Do you have an LLC? I assume you get to deduct a home office, but are there odd things an author deducts (research trips to Seattle luxury condos). Do you approach a book like the the major studios approach a movie...make sure that no matter how much a book earns you can find ways to have it come out as a loss on paper?

Good one! It has the same level of suspense and tension as Strangers. For myself I'd be happy to have the entire Evan Murphy novel serialised here. (I don't know how well it'd work with your ways of writing, or what Amazon would say about publishing/selling/kindling it. Alas, the time of the fixup novels might be far behind us.) And now we have another mystery: who were the people who were after the Lamborghini in the first place? Somehow I get the feeling they're not particularly nice either.

Geez, Elliott, I want to read ALL of this NOW! Outstanding start!

This is fantastic. I knew it would have to be Amber (also thought it would be Jason) since this is in LA, but for some reason I imagined it would be more a running into her situation instead of the task force getting involved...I have no idea why, this makes so much sense.

Ray Chen

This is good. Keep it going.

Agree with all of the above: this is great stuff. Can't wait for more.

I'm so looking forward to reading more of Evan's story! It was cool to see our FBI friends again too. :-) And I'm definitely making room in my schedule to binge No Man's Land!!!
