New fan here. Watching these with y'all reminds of back in my band days when we'd watch this while on the road from show to show. At the time we just thought this skit was hilarious, but looking at it now I really think it's the greatest television skit ever made as you guys mentioned. Comedy, social commentary, and just as relevant today as it was then. Thanks for the laughs!

Thanks for joining KT, glad you are enjoying the vids fam. This skit definitely for us is the number one, all time, most creative and everything else.. and he made it funny as hell. 👍🏼💯

That is how comedy should be, always and forever. So good, ingenious. To me that Reporter guy following Bixby on all his "endeavors" did an effing great job and contributed a lot to the overall quality of the sketch.

Man I wish the first reaction years ago would have stayed unblocked.. we were literally screaming. This was still funny the second time around.. easily top 3 skits of all time💯

I don't know what was wrong on my end last night guys, but the link is gold today! This is one of the best and meaningful skits I've ever watched! The social commentary with the MAJOR effing sidespliting laughs 🤣 are fantastic. This was pure genius 👏

Honestly, this is the sketch that put Chappelle on the map. It was the final sketch of the very first episode, which was such a bold decision. People may be much more sensitive now, but 20 years ago this was still an explosively controversial bit. It made people notice and say “Who the hell is this guy?” Nothing like this had ever been shown on television before, and I think putting this in the first episode of his own show was the beginning of Chappelle’s legend.

The little detail of the fact that there's an optometrist eye chart in the background behind Ms. Wexler in a house full of blind people is hilarious
