Ummmmm, a fan and subscriber, but this one was so off the mark in so many ways that I was really frustrated. I’m grateful that you two had the conversation, though, as it’s very helpful for me as a historian to figure out what to teach my students about 20th-c (and further back!) history. Also, you should really watch Curtis’s other movies—he has films on automation, psychiatry and psychology, etc. I’m not writing this to defend him and his work (he’s a liberal, I’m a communist, also his oeuvre doesn’t need defending), but rather to ask that you return to this conversation after a bit more viewing and reading. Keep it up, and thanks for the effort. It’s an important conversation.
