Chef, former journalist, and all-around superstar Pia Co joins Evan this week to talk about the latest Pixar film, Domee Shi's Turning Red. Set in 2002 Toronto, it follows a young Chinese-Canadian girl names Mei as she struggles to balance the expectations of family and her friends with an unexpected transformation.
We also chat about the conservative backlash to the film, complaints that the movie is "too specific," and the argument that it's secretly demonic.
