Wandering mind, full of creation

Meandering lines, lost in elation

Each stroke, I broke a little inside

Each fate, I hate. My will defied

Lately my hand has been breaking in one way another. It feels like I can never draw as much as I want to. I've been to physical therapy and they help in some ways but not others. To make matters comically worse, I got stabbed by a cactus and ended up with a cellulitis infection. My finger is swollen like a sausage and unusable, but the antibiotics are working so hopefully I'll be able to draw again soon.

Oh noesss, i feel your frustration and pain. Be strong my friend be strong. Know that there are a whole lot of people me included that wish you the very best and a speedy recovery and hope to see more from you, because your works are simply amazing. ( no pressure though )

Ouch. Chronic RSI hand and wrist pain is the worst. We use our hands for everything. As a fellow sufferer, (tendonitis and RSI) who's chronic pain was just getting worse through the years, I had to make some pretty brutal life-changing choices to save my hands to ensure I could still keep doing my job and hopefully keep my hands from becoming too painful in my elder years. I had to completely give up activities that I loved but were straining my hands. Like video gaming. Had to find a new way of writing that did not strain my hand. Had to buy a bunch of ergonomic equipment so computer work was more comfortable. Have to do a bunch of new daily stretches and exercises to prevent pain. Have to wear a wrist braces at night and day to protect myself. Even had to change my sleeping, sitting, standing position to not put pressure on parts of my body that would aggravate my hands. Giving up a lot of things I loved and having to make all these lifestyle changes was pretty tough. But I feel it was worth it since I have less chronic hand pain. Please take care of your health and your hands. Your art is the most beautiful creations I have ever seen. And I will always love your art. But your health and well-being is more important. Please do not ever feel rushed to have to make more art. Take the time to heal.
