question time! (Patreon)

So I don’t really want to take a full on break from patreon bc I don’t wanna lose the momentum I gained from twitter. However I definitely need some sort of break soon since I’ve been putting it off for months.

October will mark the 1 year anniversary of me opening up my patreon, so I was thinking the following month, November (since October’s spooky theme is too fun to skip), would be kind of a “my choice” month as a 1 year anniversary celebration sorta. It would just be my choice of two characters basically, and maybe I’d keep the OC choice up to y’all! It would still give y’all the 3 pieces a month but be less demanding for me since it would be characters I’ve always wanted to draw!

Sooo what do y’all think? Or if you have any suggestions too lmk! As always I love getting to talk to y’all and read yalls comments!

Ps. I also want to still make a OC to represent my patreon so maybe October would be a good time to do that

Feel free to take whatever time you need, man! You can even do less drawings a month if you need to, but taking a month to at least slow down definitely seems like a good idea.

You should absolutly take some time off, slow things down to take care of yourself, or take a break for a month or two. Also if for you that means drawing characters you want, you can absolutly draw them instead of asking us who we want to see, it'll be just as good !

I think having it be your choice would be a good way to keep your motivation and engagement with work but only if you're sure you want to keep up your posting momentum. Doing art for yourself is always a good way to keep your spirits up. Plus I'd really want to know what you picked. If anything maybe one of the upcoming months could be a "Sketch Only Month" if everyone would fine with that, where the characters picked won't be fully rendered or have big sequence. Just a cleaned up line art sketch and maybe some nice flat colors. There's a few posts back from last November like that and personally I'd be fine with it, just not sure how others feel.
