OH OH OH something NEWWW and DIFFERENT for us!

Besties, today is the day that we react to Selena Gomez for the first time! We really wanted to get a feel for these new songs before she releases the album, and we are so intrigued if you are vibing and if you would like us to react to the full album when it drops March 21?

Please give us your feedback and we hope you enjoy! ❤️

Char

Oh i am so sat for this, What a cute little saturday treat for us chickens 🥹

Dirk-Jan Gruppen

Yess!!! I absolutely love call me when you break up!!! Ty for reacting!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Katie LaFave

to me gracie's verse is the best part of that song!! her lyrics, the fast melody, her voice!!! it's so addicting!!!

alex

The early accesses are my new highlight on this channel!! Thank you for your hard work 🫶🏼 also need every distraction right now as the events in the worlds really affect my mood

Kiara Pugliese

Aw so excited to watch this! She’s always been loyal to Taylor <3 Would love an album reaction for her new project when it comes out just because it’s fun to chat about music. Also excited that Haim is teasing a new single 👀

Katie LaFave

i think you must react to the rest of the album when it comes out!! selena is one of taylor's longest friends (circa 2008) so we must support 🤣❤️

Aubrey McMichael

would love for you guys to react to revival! def her best album by far

Samawi A

Yesss!!! Hope you can be able to react to the new album when it comes out!!!!

Vane G

Yeesssss. Please react to the album. I would like to listen to it with you. Love you❤️

Katie LaFave

i feel like for selena because she is way more into acting these days she just thought making an album with the love of her life would be something fun and sweet! she's not trying to get the songs to be on the radio or chart!! which i think is nice

Breezy Bumbles

You could react to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and I would “be there front row, even if nobody came to your show.” (So sorry. That was embarrassing.)

Eevaliisa H.

I feel like the second single is about calling your bestfriend after they finally break up with a guy and they have time for you again 🥲

Courtney can do it with a broken heart

ahhh I was literally just watching your speak now tour video as soon as I got your notification💜. I've listened to this song once, a bit short but I do like it. I had been seeing Selena's insta reels and seeing Gracie on this song made me very curious, I do really like Gracie's part in this song, probably my favourite part🧚🏻‍♀️ I had listened to 'Scared of loving you' which is even shorter, twas a bit slow for me. I know Selena has been hinting and whatever that song was she gave a snippet of in that car 'Talk' I think, the way she says 'proud', if anyone has seen that reel, I AM HOOKED ON THAT!

jo

love these songs, can’t wait to hear the rest. would love if u did a video reacting to the whole album <3

Brenda1989

Benny was as very close with Justin Bieber and has been friends with Selena for a very long time and most likely witnessed a lot of their relationship…and this song sounds like how Benny felt while she was dating Justin…all speculation of course 😂

Katie LaFave

gracie actually has worked with benny in the past on a song called unlearn released in 2021!

Katie LaFave

Selena did confirm that call me when you breakup is not about her, but a friend of hers

Katrina

The thing you need to know about Selena is that after literally every single album release she says it's her last one lol. That said, I have always loved her albums and I hope this one is good but I'm nervous because her songs from the last year or two have been mediocre when usually they're pretty good. Call Me When You Break Up sounds really nice but why is it so short?

Kamree Kelley

Yes! Please react to the whole album! ❤️😊

Laura Pacheco

i’m not a super big selena fan but i think she’s talented and would def be interested in hearing her new album and seeing y’all’s reaction and thoughts when it comes out!

Sarah J

Definitely in the same boat as Emily! Avid wizards fan and listen to Selena Gomez and the scene! I’m definitely more of a fan of her acting more than her current music

Monica Andersen

Welcome to the world of Selena. Rare was a grower album for me and when I became a fan. (And I love rare beauty 😍) So far from the 2 new songs it sounds like it may be her best music yet ❤️ Would love for you to react to the album. CMWYBU is such a vibe. And I love the Gracie collaboration

Annika

Call me when you break up could really be about them being friends. Benny and Selena did make music years ago (I can’t get enough) and it could be about them being friends whilst being in different relationships Benny and Gracie also did a song years ago called unlearn. Maybe you could react to them? 🥹

Mia Gregorio

you girls could react to all selena/ taylor moments, there’s compilation videos all over youtube. Them on award shows and talking about each other on interviews, their friendship is so cute and has been going on for almost 20 years

MarkH

I'm totally with Bonny. Gracie's lyrics are so much better, and her delivery is so much more interesting. There are 9, count 'em 9, songwriters on this song, including Julia Michaels and Justin Trantor. But it seems clear that Gracie wrote her lyrics. Don't collab with Gracie unless you have serious songwriting and singing skills. That said, I do enjoy the song, even the Selena part.

TScout

Would be happy to hear you react to full album. Love your deep dives whether they are super positive or excitable or not. 💛

Gianluca

and that's why i think its about taylor and selena

TScout

Was my thought too.

Emma Larsson

In my mind, Call Me When You Break Up has dual interpretations. I think Selena's verse(s) are from the perspective of waiting for your friend to break up with their boyfriend so they can finally spend time together like before (in my mind I picture Selena waiting for Taylor to break up with Joe HELP) and then Gracie's verse is about an ex. Feels like that makes the song fit in with the album concept since it's not about Selena and Benny waiting for their exes to break up if that makes sense.

Lucie S

This was lovely ! I really like both of those songs, I'm only a little disappointed with Selena's lyrics, I feel like with such collaborators (Finneas, Benny...) they could have added some more "original" lyrics here and there

Ellice Hulton

Would love to see a reaction to the BRIT awards! Especially Sabrina’s performance ❤️

Gianluca

please react to the whole Album, i'm convinced that there will be much better Songs on that album

Emma Larsson

Oh and of course, YES!! All the Selena reactions are welcomed since we're in a Taylor-drought at the moment

Gianluca

selena confirmed its about a best friend so TAYLORRR

Gianluca

she never said that rare will be her last Album. she said she only wants to make one more Album after rare and that's it.

Jennie 🐍🖤

Always loved Selena as an actor but not overly excited for any of her music so if you do react to the album I’d be interested to see if there is anything that can turn me into a fan of her music too!

Mex

i don't know a lot about selena as a musician, but i love only murders in the building and her cooking show on food network. she seems to be an honest, kind, sweet person, and i love her relationship with benny. i also love her heart for immigrants here in the u.s. both songs were fun, and gracie slayed her verse. it's nice to see gracie moving through the world of big producers and i'm not surprised at all that she and selena seem to be becoming good friends with as much time as gracie seems to spend in taylor's orbit. thanks for a fun little video and i would love to see you react to the whole album!

Candace Tirado

The way that Gracie ate up that song was uncalled for, illegal, criminal, and I’m so grateful

Katie K

Loved this! I’m not a massive Selena fan but I do love Call Me When You Break Up and am planning on listening to the album when it comes out so would definitely enjoy an album reaction from you two 🩵

Katie K

Yes I think Selena’s verse and outro is about a friend too (I think she might have said that somewhere as well but I can’t find it anymore).

Melanie

Babes pls also react to tate mcrae’s new album!!! 💘💘

Isabella

ahhhh omg!! I got the notification and immediately came straight here!! love this song so much!! thank you girlies for reacting and would love for you to react to the whole album!! 💝💝

Deborah

Bonny! Your hair looks iconic! And it reminds me of the way Ariana Grande wears her hair recently! How did you do it?? Also! Thank you for another completely offensive, illegal, superior video as always!!!

mieke

love call me when you break up, i just wish that song was longer :( where is the bridgeeee, you literally had gracie abrams in the room, she can write a bridge! ugh, so frustrating

Jenny MacRunnel

Thanks so much for reacting! I feel the same way you do about Selena, Emily. I LOVED Hands to Myself, mostly because she really made a vibe out of that. She's always felt a little bit of a B star to me as far as her music, but I love her in general. I am going into the new album open minded, but I don't know if I'll love it yet. I do like these 2 songs, but Gracie makes "Call Me When You Break Up" 3 times as good with her voice and songwriting. I'm never disappointed by Gracie! So yeah, I would like your reaction to the album, mostly cause I'm curious. A Taylor collab would be AMAZING, but not holding my breath. Although people have wanted a collab from them for a long time.

Dillon Hayes-Pelletier

FUN FACT: Selena had made a few albums before and scraped them because she didn't feel like they were her at the time.

Drey Szabó

Loved the reaction and has had Call me when you break up on loop for days! BUT I think you guys have misunderstood the song on the first listen (which is fine!!): I don’t know how this ties to a lovey album between Selena and Bennie but in the last line Selena sings “unless you find a person that you want a new name from” - she’s singing to a girl! She’s singing to a friend! This song never felt like a song for Bennie, never even thought of that perspective until you guys said it, I think this is a song to her bestie. Now the exciting part is, Gracie is a feature and honestly I know she’s popular now but Selena could have picked anyone to be a feature and she picked Gracie. Now, who are both Selena and very clearly Gracie besties with 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Taylor :) I think this is a song for Taylor written possibly after Joe or Matty and I think Gracie was picked by Selena to emphasise to Taylor that she’s never going to be alone because she’s got her friends. Now we just need to figure out what name the voicemail says at the beginning, sounds like it’s reversed or something!!

Feride Eron

i just really felt validated that selena's music is not you guys' thing either lol

Josie Bicknelle

not gracie showing selena up on her own song it's giving girl so confusing feat lorde

Maev

I would love for you guys to react to her documentary " mind and me " <3

Jule

The first song gives me Juno movie soundtrack vibes for some reason lol love fathoming new stuff with you guys!!

Alice

So happy to see you react to Selena Gomez's songs and have your honest opinion about it ! Thanks for that. Would LOVE to see you react to the entire album ! By the way, personally I felt like "Call me when you brake up" is about a best friend, I could even be about Taylor... who knows ? But I didn't felt it was about a boy, that doesn't makes sense to me.

Lale

Hi girls, thanks for the reaction, loved it!! I'm a huge Selena fan since Disney channel years so I would love a whole album reaction :) Selena told in a pre listening party to the fans that this song is about one of her best friends so not about her waiting for an ex or something. She also said that this album is divided in 3 parts, first part is about before Selena & benny got together, second part how they got together and third how they see their future. There are also rumours about having Olivia as a feature and there will be a Spanish song in it. Hope these info helps a bit :) And if you ever want to react to more albums I would looove to see Revival, Rare and droplet era reactions!

Helena

Would absolutely love an album reaction !!

Anna Miotello

I can't believe that they had the audacity of releasing call me when you break up just like that, without a proper bridge or outro!!!! It's a good song, they could have built it up to an explosive bridge, or at least a longer outro. That's so frustrating to me! haha Also I love Selena, but this song really highlighted how Gracie is much better with words. The way she expresses her feelings in songs is much more creative and unexpected.

DEVILZSTAR

She said “I feel like I only really one more album in me”, which could mean she didn’t feel confident beyond one more album, doesn’t mean she definitively only wanted to release one more

Rick

i was so happy when i found out selena and taylor had dinner in LA the week after the grammys

Victoria

Call me when you break up is about a friend in a bad relationship, and missing the time they had before the bf

Florence Lambert

My favorite Selena Gomez era was 2017 Bad Liar (excellent music video) and Fetish

Ebru

Call me when you break up sounds like it would be big on TikTok.

Savvy

oh my gosh. I like this so much more. Definitely a more interesting concept!

the mother lake

post sydney mardi gras viewing let’s goooo

Savvy

Would love an album reaction. I am not a huge selena music fan, but love wizards and her as an actress. Excited to listen again!

Lisa Koller

I think Rare is such a good album !!! I love it so much 🥰

Marilen

Yees please react to the album!🫶🏼

Jamie

I love some Selena songs 💜 de una vez might be my favorite song of hers. this is just MY opinion... I don't think sel is as great of a singer, and so in order for me to like her music I have to connect lyrically or if it's a bop. I loved her rare album. this song however, I liked it the first few times, and now im over it. nothing really hit my heart and it's not a bop either lol. for ME. please don't take offense those of you who love her.

Jenn Hamel

Selena Gomez is for makeup not for songs 🤓

Annie930

"Scared of Loving You" reminds me SO MUCH of "Anyone Else but You" by the Moldy Peaches.

Hunter

Love you two chickens, as for the album that would be a vibe if you guys reacted to it ❤️🙌

Mia Kolk

you guys should definitely react to tate mcraes new album!!! id love to hear your opinions

Alberto

yes please react to the album! I’m on the same level as you with Selena’s music so I would love to dive into this new chapter together🤍

Bailey Tipton

Please react to to tates album! Love you chickens so much

Sara Rose

Girlies we need to talk about that matcha because why is it not green! The queens of tea deserve better. 😭

Dswiftie

I would love for you to react to the entire album. Her music sounds so cute. Love you guys.

msjackyx

Oh I would love an album reaction!! One thing I have noticed is that Selena’s songs are usually in the shorter end. I’m always left wanting more longer songs xD but I really like her songs she and Taylor are who I’m more connected to when it comes to whos music I listen to. so knowing their background helps me connect more with her music.

Grace

i think it’s because the cup is orange so it makes the matcha look a different color! i’ve noticed that before too lol

Audrie

I would be so down to watch you guys react to the full album when it comes out! I’m in the same boat as far as not being the biggest fan of her previous music, but it would be fun to dive into this new chapter of hers together. Loved your honesty and authentic reaction in this video :) 🩷

Sara Rose

No Bonny’s cup is clear though 🥲

💯

I wasnt a fan of these songs either but im gonna give the full album a chance

kenna🪽

Yessss album reaction!!! woop woop! 🙌🏼

AshZ

Scared of hate I’ll receive from this but I feel like if the first song was sung by anyone else I’d like it better, just thought Sel’s voice sounded very strange on that track. It seems like something private that only means something to her and Benny.

Aanya 💗

yess!! react to the album!!! xxxx

AshZ

Ooo what is happening to the audio at the end, I think there’s been a glitch

Liv

Would love you guys to just do a sit down video for Patreon just talking all things Taylor since there isn’t much going on rn 😭 like maybe what you think is next like ts12, documentary etc. or maybe other things you would like to share your thoughts on like Taylor’s “involvement” in the Blake lively lawsuit considering it is a big news story (I feel like every time I go online there is always a new article about their friendship being “on the rocks.”) Just a suggestion if you are looking for any video ideas. I personally love your videos where you sit down and chat ❤️‍🔥

Lisa

i’m in for a reaction 😀

Ali ❤️‍🔥

Interesting! I personally loved her voice for the first one, I think her voice is really well suited for a more indie-ish sound and that song really did that for me. But I totally agree that it seems they released that song as the first single because it’s such a special thing between the two of them

Ali ❤️‍🔥

I feel like Bonny would love Rare, idk if you’ve listened to it but it seems like maybe you haven’t dove deep into Selena’s discography. If you haven’t, you should give it a listen :)

CC Loo

If we are getting a Selena reaction for the first time, any chance of a Gaga reaction on the channel? I feel like Mayhem could be a fun change of pace and the singles have been good. Maybe she isn't your type of artist normally so understand if not.

Louise

seriously! it’s about to go number one we need it

Louise

in regards to the skipping cracks, superstitious stuff, gracie actually has ocd! so when she talks about it she really means it. as a person with ocd i love how open she is about it in her music ♥️

Courtney D

Loved this! From the commentary on the first song, seems like they should probably not react to Tate McRae, as her lyrics are pretty surface level

Erica

They have talked about using filters on their videos before

Erica

I really really love you guys and I only say this because I don’t know if you’ve realized it, but I’m failing to see much love for any minority artists. And anytime you react to them you always get so excited (way more excited) for their white collaborators. I.e., post Malone with Beyoncé, Finneas and Gracie with Selena and Benny. And you say you only know “Can’t Keep My Hands to Myself” because of Taylor. Which is absolutely wild because that was a massive massive song!! I’m trying to think of any minority artist you have truly praised and I’m not coming up with any… It’s just something I’ve noticed and it makes me sad.

Sarah

I have been loving these songs since they came out! I was never particularly a Selena fan, but it seems like she is in a great season of her life and the music sounds so fresh and honest. Would love to see your reaction to the album! I am hoping the Taylor collab rumours are true as a nugget of new music would be gratefully received 😄

Raven Patzner 🇨🇦🫶🏻

Def react to the new album! Also not a diehard Selena fan but it would be so cool to see a reaction from your lens! I think if it’s anything like these songs it’ll be a vibe.

sofie sandrini

I think ‘call me when you break up’ is about a best friend - which I LOVE. I was listening to the song and the last chorus/bridge/outro whatever, changed the whole song for me. Then I got on Genius and Selena had said its about her best friend going through a breakup and Gracie’s verse is from the best friend’s perspective 🤭

Veronika Wieser

Hey girls it's always a pleasure and joy to wake up in the morning and recognize that there is a new video of yours. It always makes my day 🫶😄 I always love your reaction whether you're familiar with the artist or not. So I would love to see a reaction of the whole album. And I also would love to know what you think about her album "Rare". I'm not so mega familiar with Selena's music but this is an album which I really enjoy, so I would love to hear your thoughts on this. With best greetings from Munich 😙🫶

Veronika Wieser

That's what I was thinking too. I don't think Selena would put a song on this album were she sings of wishing of getting back with an ex. It dosen't fit with the concept of the album.

Lou

I really appreciate you reacting to this ❤️ Personally, Selena’s songs have never been on my radar and they don’t really do it for me. Except Hands to myself - that’s a bob. If you have other things in mind that you could react to or make a video about, I would be more interested in that than a Selena album reaction. ☺️ Otherwise, I’m ofc excited if you do it and maybe even make me change my mind about it! Xx

Christina

Selena actually said this herself that it's about a friend !

Giulia

What an odd thing to say

Giulia

We don’t know if it’s taylor we shouldn’t spread rumors

Caro

would definitely love a full album reaction!! selenas music has never been on my radar but i love watching your reactions and exploring new music!!

Antonia

A reaction would be fun!

Livi

Loved gracie!! Same not really a huge selena fan but would love to see your album reaction 💕

Amelie

Yes please, I would love a reaction to the full Selena album 😍

Jenny

I think Benny and Selena have been in each other's lives for a long time (can someone confirm this pls), so I think 'Call Me When You Break Up' could be about him, or it could even be about her (from his perspective). I'm huge fan of Selena the person, can take or leave her music though, but I do think there is something vulnerable about that song because it openly admits that you're hoping someone else's relationship doesn't work out, which is savage but deeply relatable 😂

Marsha

thank you for this, loved ittt! & i would loveeee a album reaction 🫶🏻 fun fact: Selena said ‘call me when you break up’ is about a friendship!

Jenny

Commented this before reading other comments saying she's confirmed it's about a friend! However, there still could be an element of their stuff in there too, maybe knowing each other when one of them wasn't available or the timing wasn't right!

Luna Rodriguez Espinoza

Selena said this song is about calling a friend!! 💕 that makes much more sense also to include Gracie as the other bestie

Holly Avitia

I desperately need you to be reacting to the whole album I have been a fan of Selena Gomez since wizards of waverly place and she is just so full of joy and happiness kind sweet girl i love her so much i have every CD and or Vinyl of her music

Ewa 👩🏼‍🦰🇵🇱

Love it, please continue with reacting when the album premieres. You both look #gorgeous by the way ☺️

Matěj Čáp

giiirls, can u react to RARE? pleaseeee

boliaam

i took "call me when you break up" more of a friendship song. for me it looks like it's about taylor and selena's friendship: selena is telling taylor that she'll always be there for her through her breakups, and the last verse is her singing about taylor and travis? that's what i got from that song honestly. (and please can you react to Rare?)

libby

PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO ROLEMODELS NEW ALBUM!!! it’s so good it’s like harry styles coded you guys would die

Embla Lie

I’m the same as Emily! I loved Selena’s Disney days and I loved her earlier music but then her music was not for me anymore. So I really hope that this album brings me back to loving her music more! I think the first song its alright but not my fave. But I love the other song with Gracie! But I also think that Gracie brings so much more to the song! So I think I just love Gracie and thats why I love the song😅

Amber

sally when the wine runs out is already my favorite song of the year i am obsessed 😭

libby

LITERALLY SAME

Madison Sturdevant

Somebody's probably already mentioned this, but I think it's very plausible that Selena and Benny had a brief thing before she dated The Weeknd. I feel like Call Me When You Break Up could be from Benny's perspective, waiting for her to get out of a relationship and hoping she might come back to explore what they had.

Madison Sturdevant

They've worked on music together over the years, so who knows what may have happened between them that has been kept private, idk!

superscarf

Yes, please react to the whole album! 🙂

Lara

BEEEGGING for you guys to react to selena‘s old albums!!!

Chloe Gipson

Selena said it’s not about a guy!!! It’s about a friend:)

Alexandra

I feel like it would be cool for you to react to the new album!

Micah

I feel like call me when you break up is about a friend, and she hates their partner 🤷🏼‍♀️

justine

Call Me When You Break Up i believe selena said it was actually about a friend !!

justine

yes please react to the album!!

Noah Dale

I'm excited to see where this album goes because these two tracks are very different lol. I think Selena before this album announcement with Benny was going to release a totally different album herself that she had been working on that was going to feature the singles she released last year & 2023 "Single Soon" and "Love On" so i'm interested to see if that project will see the light of day because Selena said that album was meant to be her last...

Courtney Schmidt

I'm not sure if this has been said, but Selena has Lupus. I'm not going to pretend to know all of the symptoms. I do know it can cause vocal fatigue, inflammation and weakness. Perhaps this is the reason for her shorter songs? She obviously loves music, singing (and acting), but health wise, I think it can cause a strain on her body. I love that she continues to do what she loves regardless of her health - she has been through so much 💜 Side note, I'm super excited she feels ready to share new music with us and I am loving her and Benny together - he treats her so well! ❤️

Eloise

i love both songs for different reasons - i would love to see your reaction to the album!!

Kellie Mahoney

Please react to the album! Also, Bad Liar is actually one of the greatest songs ever made, you need to take a listen if you haven’t heard it in a while or ever

Sam

Random, but would y’all ever rank Lana’s songs? Or maybe even just talk through your top 25? I really love your Lana videos and was reminded by seeing “Lust for life” in the background lol

DemiMarie🤍🖤

I honestly love you chickens reactions to anything at this point haha 🥰🫶🏻

Emily

Would you ever react to Selenas Documentary "My Mind and Me" ?? I've always wondered if you guys have seen that one!

Geneva

That's a fair point, though it doesn't really make sense in the long run. She's still made a whole album. It doesn't matter how long the songs are -- it's not like she's required to sing them the whole way through when recording.

Ella C

I would love a reaction to the Album 🥰

Courtney Schmidt

For sure, I was just thinking it might explain why she doesn't have as lyric heavy longer songs like we get/expect from Taylor. She definitely doesn't have to preform them all together and I also don't think she would tour again- she stopped her 2016 tour because of the side effects. So anyways, just excited for what we do get and that she's feeling comfortable enough and confident to release new music with Benny 😄

Mads

Omg yes I was going to suggest this! I loved that doc, it really made me understand her more

Mads

If Call Me When You Break Up had a killer bridge it would be on repeat for me!! I rly like the song but it def left me wanting more

Kirsten

I think I would like a reaction to this album

Erin ⚡️

Honestly, I could take or leave a full album reaction. These two songs weren't bad, but I was bored by them and not really interested in listening to the rest of her album because of it. But I love all your reaction videos, so I'd watch if you decided to react to it!

Kiki

We got two cute little nuggets, but I clearly prefer longer songs or ones that at least include a bridge ❤️

Kasey

i feel like selena’s lyrics are very surface level and almost rhyme too much

Nicole

I've enjoyed a Selena song here and there, but I think that he lyrics have always been very simplified - especially since she left Disney. But some people like that vibe and just having the exciting production and sounds that she has leaned into with the DJs and those kind of songs, and they just may not be for me. But I have so much respect for her and what she's gone through personally and in the limelight. I also love her as an actress

Nicole

I do see how Call Me When You Break Up could also be taken as like, wanting your bestie to call you when they break up with a person who is wrong for them and taking up their time, so that you can get your best friend back in your life so much.

Alexia 🫶🏻

Selena is very much so a pop girly, mainly short simple lyrical structure and always catchy instrumentals. I definitely know what to expect every time I listen to her. I feel like she’s one of those if it isn’t broke don’t fix it girlies. But also I agree I don’t believe she would’ve stepped back into music like this especially with an album if it wasn’t for Benny❤️

brenda 🌸

Personally not a Selena girlie and not interested in her music but this was cute nugget of a vid x

Taylah Louise

Yes please for the album react! Loved this one

Kristin Ranae

Have you watched Only Murders in the Building with Selena, Steve Martin and Martin Short?? It's adorable! Like a cozy mystery.

Sov

would love a selena gomez reaction video! I think the call me when you break up is Selena speaking to her friend as she says 'Unless you found the person that you want a new name from' as in new surname because her friend would be getting married! call me delulu but in my mind, its like she's speaking to Taylor throughout the song 🤪

Emily Mamer

I would love to see an album reaction!! So cool to see you reacting to Selena; she has been one of my favs for forever!🩷

Lori Bland

I don't know ladies. Her Revival album was so good and the concert was even better.

Karen Valentino

If you review the full album, I’m not sure Selena’s music will resonate with me, but I will definitely be into whatever you two have to say about it. 🤩

Areeb Ebrahim

Loved your guys' reaction and would absolutely love a full album reaction!!

Sam

Ditto!

Rumsy

Please react to the whole album! ♡

Sarah

Selena Gomez is for whatever she wants to do.

Nina

I would love to see you reacting to it😍

Hannah

YESSSSS 🤩 Would looooove an album reaction of course🫶🏻

kaelynnnmae

I heard that benny actually wrote the first song about selena. 😭 it’s a just a very sweet love letter between the two of them, so deserved.

Ludic Queen

You guys should totally be open to reacting to selena gomez albums and music videos. You'll vibe to a few cute bops. Benny also said there's a selena only version!

Rose Ellen

Definitely would love a reaction to the whole album! If you enjoy that it would be fun for you to do a deep dive into Selena’s discography - I think there’s some gems in there!! You could always ask us to recommend songs for you rather than going through whole albums that you might not enjoy!

Hanna Kulla

guys i love you so much and i’d love for you to react to selena‘s new album but you guys really heard loose you to love me and were like nah🥲❤️

Ana Noronha

this!! It's the two of them talking to each other, and then the lyric at the end about if her friend finds the person that she wants to marry that she wants to be there too! Not just if they break up

I think Call Me When You Break Up is about sisterhood and being there for a friend when they are going through a break up. I think this as the closing lyrics allude to a best friend getting married: Unless you found the person that you want a new name from I'd like to be there when that day comes You know I'm always here, so don't ever be a stranger

I'm kind of in the same boat as you both, I have listened to Selena's previous albums but I wouldn't say I am a huge huge fan. (With exception of Revival - Actually one of the best albums of the 2010s) But I'm very curious and excited for this one and would love to see your reactions and thoughts when it is released. I was also confused by the contents of Call Me When You Break Up as this has been presented as an album about their relationship - but then when you talked about the track placement being at number 3, I was thinking maybe they're going to explain their relationship from the beginning and CMWYBU is like them seeing the other person with someone else before they actually got together?? Because they've worked together in the past so maybe that's why in the lyrics it sounds like they are familiar with the person they want to break up with their partner? But that could be a reach idk. Anyway, love the videos and you both!!

I’m just like you both with Selena. I’m very curious and excited about this album though. Would love your reaction. The outro to “Call Me When You Breakup” definitely alludes to this being a song for her friend rather than a romantic relationship

I'm not sure I love Selena's voice. I can see there is something soft and comforting about it but especially compared to Gracie's.. there's just something I am not loving

Sin-e-ad

Yes I saw Selena saying at her listening party she wrote this about her “best friend” 👀🤯

Some of the songs on Selena's new album are really great, others aren't for me, but I would love to see your reaction while Taylor is on her break

I definitely see this as two friends who are leaving each other voicemails. For the sake of story, let’s say it’s about Selena and Gracie. Selena’s verse is more that she’s just kind of on the sidelines (and probably single) while Gracie is in a relationship because her guy taking up all her time and Selena misses the time that she and Gracie would spend together. When you’re single, your friends are the ones who take up all your time so I think Selena is saying that once they break up then her and Gracie can go back to being each other’s number 1 basically. She’s also saying she’ll be the one to boost Gracie up when she’s feeling sad. I read Gracie’s verse as Gracie is struggling and coming out of her relationship. She’s heartbroken and trying everything to just get through it. She’s still feels like her and the guy are meant for each other but she’s needing to talk about it and Selena is asleep so she’s talking to the voicemail. I also wonder if maybe Gracie’s actual “call me when you break up” lines are meant to be sarcastic. Like maybe she’s mocking Selena for having said that but now Selena won’t answer the phone because she’s asleep.

I see Selena’s verse in ’call me when you break up’ like she’s talking to her best friend (Taylor??) it kinda makes sense in timing too being about either Joe - who I’m sure Selena could see falling apart from a mile away. Or even Marty tbh, since she says “unless you found someone you want a new name from” - which I guess in my mind kinda means she can see her Taylor’s relationship maybe not lasting, but Taylor is pretty sure this is the person she will marry (Matty!!) and Selena wants to support her, and always be there for her no matter what happens. Gracie’s verse is very romantic-relationship coded, and very different lyrically from the rest of the song, so I do believe Gracie probably wrote her verse herself, separate from Selena’s verse.
