This is a random bone I have to pick and I don’t mean this in a mean way… but expressing your opinion on what u think a song might be about is not spoiling btw. I wrote a chat on this live just expressing what one of the new lyrics could be referencing and I was muted by the moderators because apparently I was “spoiling”. This left me very confused as it was simply just a theory I made up in my head. Just make sure the moderators are aware that not every opinion on the live is a spoiler!! Muting someone for an entire live for expressing their theories is harsh!!

Well Teri, I reiterate that none of us know these people. Only Keith and Nicole know the inner workings of their relationship and why it truly ended. It’d be like some rando on the internet you’ve never met trying to speculate and judge your character/personhood and give their opinion on a relationship you’ve had that ended, primarily based on information that didn’t even come from you directly. That rando would have no idea what they’re actually talking about bc they don’t see what goes on behind closed doors. Nicole could’ve cheated, Keith could’ve cheated, they could’ve just grown apart, they could’ve grown to hate each other, etc. No one knows but them. My long-winded point is that we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors of other’s relationships, let alone celebrities who are tediously media trained with a full on PR team on standby, and it’s silly to think that we do. We only see what they want us to see. Life is much more nuanced than simply keith wanted a divorce and left Nicole for a younger woman, so now he’s just another shit man. How tf would we know if that’s actually the whole truth? We don’t. Again.. we do not know these people. It’s silly to think that we can come to definitive conclusions on someone else’s character and life events, especially celebrities that we’ve never met. Same thing goes for Taylor swift. We may think we know her, but we actually don’t.

I think a lot about how this must be so tough to moderate, and is also why I HATE leaks so much: The problem is, what if your (or anyone else's) theory is actually right? While I wish we could assume the best of everyone on here, and that no one has looked at leaks and certainly would not repeat them if they did... any given person expressing what appears to be a guess could actually just be spoiling. idk if the mods here have seen leaks or not, but especially if they have, I don't know what the right thing to do is: Do they leave all theories in the chat even if they potentially come from leaks? Or do they delete just the messages that have seemingly accurate info (whether leaked or just genuinely guessed)? But in that case then anyone who saw them before deletion now knows they're correct. Which leaves the unfortunate third option of deleting any speculation. Absolutely don't mean this as any shade to you, Adam, btw — this situation that we've been put in by leakers/leak sharers is so frustrating and I certainly don't know what the right answer is. Just wanted to think about the flip side of how to handle it. I love speculating about new music sooo much, and I wish we could just live in a sterile internet bubble where we all knew we were guaranteed to only be talking to other leak-free Swifties.
