My top 5 albums are all Taylor 😄 1. Showgirl 2. reputation 3. Speak Now 4. Red 5. 1989 Out of my 60k minutes listening to music, 40k was for Taylor. And So High School was my most streamed song. Cause I intentionally listened to this song at least once a day, cause I love it so much. That and The Prophecy are my fav TTPD tracks.

Guys there's a way to exclude music for the wrapped so that it doesnt affect the results! I don't know if it has to be done before it gets released, but hope this helps

There is an option on Spotify on album pages and artist pages to “exclude from taste profile” and that should stop it from showing up in your wrapped for next year! So sorry Em! 🤣

I love that you guys have artists that are for you guys that you don’t necessarily need to bring into the social media / work space. At the end of the day you are still fans and enjoy music for what it is not everything needs to be part of the job and that separation is is so important 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

I’m SURE someone has said it, but em if you use the same playlist every night up at the top under the options menu there’s a “exclude this playlist from my taste profile” option. this exact same thing happened to me a couple years ago but with stand up routines (which is what I fall asleep to). plus I’m a nanny and have a playlist I listen to every single day that is curated for a seven year old, so the exclude option has saved me from the zombies soundtracks taking over my wrapped data. 😂 next year will be better!!

I think the album vs songs thing actually makes a lot of sense because for example role model was not in my top 5 artists but Kansas anymore was in my top 5 albums and I think that’s because that one album i was listening to a lot but I wasn’t listening to any other music from him, except from that one album! where with other artists that are in my top 5, i’m listening to songs from multiple different albums of theirs not just one!

I just set up my Christmas playlist, and Christmas Tree Farm (the song) was on it. I also added River by Joni Mitchell because I’m in 70s and she was my Taylor when I was 16. And I added Olivia Dean’s Christmas song and every song on Fruitcake and a couple by Laufey - because I don’t live under a rock, and unlike many people of my age, I can navigate SM and am interested in the present. Also every song on Fruitcake. But then also Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and Judy Garland and Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano out of respect and nostalgia because that’s what my parents listened to. And John Legend and Kelly Clarkson because - well, they are ridiculously talented. I hope the two of you and every one here lives to be my age, and some time down the line curates a list that includes musicians who made music over decades, and includes nods to the people and performers who have shaped your life.

Top Albums: TTPD Showgirl Evermore Speak Now (Taylors Version) Fearless (Taylors Version) I was a little surprised about Fearless. I didn't think I'd listened to it that much. I figured Man's Best Friend would be in there for sure. Top artists: Taylor Sabrina Lady Gaga (I was OBSESSED with Mayhem this year) Maisie Peters (a little surprising, I didn't think I had listened to her that much) Lana The only thing I feel was completely WRONG was my top song: Mastermind. Which don't get me wrong, I do love that song, but I never pick it to listen to, I mainly listen to it on shuffle or if I'm listening to Midnights. I listen to other songs WAY more than that one! So that was weird to me. My other top songs were all from Showgirl: Elizabeth Taylor, Father Figure, The Fate of Ophelia, and Eldest Daughter. My top genres made me laugh: Soft Pop Classical Pop Country Art Pop Christmas I did stream Fruitcake a LOT last year! And I do listen to a lot of Christmas music the last 6 weeks of the year.

I think the people complaining either share theirs, are parents, listen in the car with others picking music, listen to a lot of playlists and not many full albums (so if they only listened to a couple of full albums suddenly Taylor is in their top when they were hate listening 🥲), or have a small sample size because they didn’t have many listening minutes. People are offended by the age thing too! Like it’s just a bit of fun guys don’t take it so seriously! I was 24! (37 in real life).

Absolutely HOWLING at Emily’s overnight music 😂 it reminds me how in Sweden, Every. Single. Year. the song Babblarnas vaggvisa, a lullaby from a popular kids show is in the top of most streamed songs. I can only imagine how many parents have that song as their number one. I signed up for Spotify Stats a while back and realized one day it doesn’t track every song if you didn’t finish it. I’m not sure how much of it you need to listen to for it to count, but if you’re skipping any or starting any over once the song is about to end, that may affect it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Her most recent album is more experimental and heavy but if you like Suki (and Hozier), I feel like you would also enjoy Florence's music. Guysss I am so obsessed with Suki, I went to a concert in August and she is such a star. Her live performance made me fall in love with her even more. Supersad live was an outer body experience. Literally all her songs are no skips at all they are so good. I would love to hear you talk about her music more. Anyways my top song in my wrapped is „What was that“ - I listened to it on repeat when Lorde droped it as a single. Emily!! You can add your overnight music to a separate playlist then go into the settings for it and click on “exclude from taste profile” and it won’t factor into your yearly wrap up! I had to do the same with all the songs my kids want to listen to on repeat 😂

I love this video and learning about your Wrapped 😊 I totally feel you about there being so much new music this year - along with new Suki, Sabrina, Lorde and Haim, I've also been blessed with new Florence and the Machine, Wolf Alice and The Last Dinner Party (all are amazinggggg and I would love for you to react. Florence's new album is produced by father Aaron and Wolf Alice's new album The Clearing is SO Fleetwood Mac coded. And then TLDP are just one of the best bands ever!) ❤️ Still, Taylor absolutely dominated for me - TTPD was my top album and my top song was So Long, London (I actually left London/a toxic relationship at the end of 2024 so it was truly the most perfect song). And then my other top albums were all Taylor, I think because of her reclaiming her masters and listening to her entire discography on repeat. I find the playlist that Spotify create of your top songs really interesting as they label each with how many times you listened to it, and funnily enough the only men that appear in that extended playlist for me are Role Model and Noah Kahan (have you guys seen that Noah is teasing new music? Ahhhh!!!!) x

No ACTUALLYYY TTPD is the best album she's ever written. Everyone's take about it being too long too wordy blah blah blah right when it came out was so uncalled for and disrespectful to the artistry of that album. She told us SO MUCH ?? Like she told us.. so...much. And she never had to do that. Just wanted to leave a comment to say that I believe there is a setting on Spotify to disable a certain playlist from being a part of the wrapped called “exclude playlist from your taste profile”. Maybe this will fix the issue for next year Emily!

I play Spotify overnight for my kids as well, and a few years ago had this same issue! For some reason it hasn’t happened again these past two years (despite still playing it overnight) but we do have it downloaded and we play it offline for them, so maybe that helps?! But also just removing it from your listening profile like someone else suggested (didn’t realize this was a suggestion) is a good call!

I agree with you Bonny that whenever I’m listening to music, I am fully focused on listening. Music cannot be in the background because if it is, then I am completely distracted by it. Music is incredibly stimulating for me and it is the thing that gives me the most joy so my attention is completely devoted to it. I also can’t fall asleep to music for the same reason.
