Hi, checking in from June 2023. Just wanted to give a few updates. Taylor Swift is set to release Speak Now Tv, the next re-recording after Red TV in July 2023. Taylor released her 10th studio album called Midnights, which in hindsight might have revealed that Joe and Taylor were on the verge of ending their relationship, which we learned about in April 2023. We were all denying the Jaylor breakup news, but blondie has made it clear they are over and we’re learning that their relationship might not have been as smooth as we thought. Taylor is also on a huge tour, called The Eras Tour, which is over 3 hours long with 40+ songs on the set list. Taylor is also the biggest thing right now, and everyone watches her tour on tiktok livestreams to watch the 2 new secret songs every time there’s a show. Last thing: Taylor swift is being photographed regularly in NYC going out to dinner and into studios making music. So yeah, just wanted to update y’all on how life’s going.

Hayden Brice

2 months have passed since this comment - cruel summer is a single. speak now tv has been released. 1989 tv has been announced. and taylor is releasing rep tv snippets. she's been busy

Caroline

New patreon member here! I can lip read what Sadie says in the breakup scene. "IS THAT IT?...JUST FUCKING TALK TO ME! FUCKING LOOK AT ME!.... JUST FUCKING TALK TO ME, OKAY??!!...... YOU CAN'T EVEN FUCKING LOOK AT ME! FUCKING LOOK AT ME!" I'm pretty sure that's the gist of it. I wonder how much Taylor told them about this scene or if she let them improvise like the kitchen scene.

Jay Mike

2 weeks since that comment was released, Taylor swift the Eras tour concert video is coming out on Oct 13 in North America and has already has 65+ million pre-showing sales and she has also now released all FOUR versions of 1989 Taylor's Version. Taylor is now on her 2 mont break for the eras tour and has been spotted in NYC multiple times already, and it has been said she is wokring on new music. WE ARE SPOILT FANS

Juliana Martinez

January 2024 - taylor swift has been dating travis kelce for a few months and she has been going to all of his games, being a superior human being. she is now also a billionaire. she is wearing black all the time and hinting at reputation taylors version. oh, and the grammy's are in a couple weeks! then eras tour comes back in japan after a 2 month break

Kiki

March 2024, Taylor has made Grammy history by winning her fourth album of the year award with Midnights and announced TS11 on stage. She also had literally everyone calculating if she could fly back in time to watch her boyfriend play at the Super Bowl. (She could and his team won!)

Ellen Jarrett

I just became a part of the Patreon community and binging the videos of all my favourite eras <3 I hadn't noticed the lighting of cold and warm. You said you didn't get anything about Jake's reasoning for breaking up but she says 'You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine'. I take that as a snippet from their breakup, his reasoning being the age gap had too big of an impact on their relationship. A frightful man like Jake said this while breaking up with me, so it is possible!

Cynthia Puzio

Who else besides me came back to re-fathom again this monumental break up, the aftermath and the ATW Film after listening to 'The Manuscript' for the umpteenth time? I cry everytime I give it a serious listen...

ellsbells

I think I read somewhere that it was completely improvised!

Foxy_Tatty

I love Ari! Her eyes are the sweetest 🖤🐾

Megan C

Two and a half years in the future from when you wrote this, I just realized that 😂

Megan C

October 2024- We're on the last leg of the Eras tour. Last night at Miami night 1, Taylor wore a new Rep outfit, after wearing the same one for 131 shows. Most of the fandom continues to clown for Rep TV, so this changing of the outfit for that Era was shocking and yet, Rep TV continues to be a mystery. Taylor also announced this week that she will be releasing a! BOOK! that details all kinds of amazing things about the Eras tour. We can't wait to read jt. Was this music video the original Easter Egg for Taylor releasing her own book? TBD.

Hoostock

I am watching this for the first time in 2025 and listened to Emily mention the spoof song created by John Elliott. This is still on Spotify and would like you to react as I think it would be so fun

Bailey

Back to this in 2025 hahah and hasn’t it come to light that Dylan is actually a horrific man?

VadersPetPig

Thanks for this! Really wanted to watch the most iconic thing Taylor has ever done with y’all.

Dhamar

Literally stop what I’m doing whenever I get a notification from you guys! Love!

S 🤍

Can't wait to watch this and unwind after a long day!! Love you guys so much, thanks for doing this!!

Mikaela

I’m so excited yay!

VadersPetPig

OMG I forgot to mention... JAKE GYLLENHALL IS GOING TO BE ON SNL....are they going to make a skit about Taylor??? About this song??? The MUSIC VIDEO??? AAAHHHHHH

Mikaela

Like you both were saying I wonder if we’ll get a music video for “I did something bad” 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Cydney

eeeee! so excited when I got this notification! this is what i needed tonight:)

Joe Weaver

Aww, that's alright. The original would be amazing but I think we all like watching along whatever it is with you!

Derick Mitchell Matthews

You guys are awesome for trying to stay so committed to your fandom! Thanks for this, was working on my own writing when I got this notification so really makes my day 👏

Emma

Man you guys make my day so much brighter!!!! Can't wait to watch this xoxoxoxo

Vanessa

New to your patreon but so excited to be here!!! Just so happy to see there are others who love Taylor like me!

S 🤍

Back when the short film came out I saw a video on TikTok of this speech therapist trying to lip read and figure out what they were saying in those muted scenes. I went back and searched for it and managed to find it!! https://www.tiktok.com/@tippacanoe/video/7030180180425444613?_t=8QqI9W4jgQU&_r=1 I thought this one was the most interesting, especially with the context of him being so much older than her. I think he might've been told that this was bad for his image, and he was probably advised to end it. That would maybe explain why he would get so angry with the paparazzis??? and it would give a whole new meaning to "you said if we had been closer in age maybe it would've been fine"

Maja Gunhold

i watched this with a glass of red and sobbed only a little

Cody

Why am i excited that this is 55 min. long and also thinking man could be longer (haven't watched yet) knowing the video is less than 15 min.

Ileana Isabel

One moment that has kinda stuck with me from that fight scene (that you also say, and I agree, that since the beginning it was clear that he didn't think he was in the wrong) is the fact that right before he love-bombs her after he made her cry, he makes this look like looking at the ceiling and sighing, like that small look makes it so clear to me that not only does he not think any of this is his fault, not only does he not take any of this seriously but he also finds it annoying almost that he *has* to apologise now because she's crying. It's like "ugh can't believe she's making me apologise for this stupid shit I don't fucking remember", you know what I mean? And that shows with the way he apologises too, that he is not taking it seriously, nor taking accountability for his actions, again, because he doesn't believe he is in the wrong, because he believes that she's just a complainer and is making everything about her or whatever and ugh it's disgusting Honestly, the first time I noticed that I was so mad, because that is literally how he treated her the whole time they were together, like he was superior to her and therefore that he was always in the right. And the fact that that whole scene was improvised, Dylan really understood the assignment (love him so much)

Ileana Isabel

And it's also the look in her face after, too. Like Emily said, she's like forgiven him but then is wondering how she even got there. Because it went from her telling him "I didn't like this way you acted" into him gaslighting her and when he makes her cry he forces an apology on her. And I hate too how triggering that look is for me, because of how real that scene is

Emma

Not sure how true this is but i've seen that Sadie is dating Joe's brother Patrick

Fahmeen

Sadie wearing his plaid shirt when she’s lying in bed 🥺😔

Lauren Levitt

Ok ok not to be tht bitch who can’t let it go but just counter points in the Harry directions for Babe. I agree Babe is really raw and 1989 is more reflective. But her other songs on Red about Harry are more raw too and I mean it’s Harry she would have had to have pain at some point about the first break up. So totally agree that Babe isn’t normally how she reflects on Harry but I think I would make sense for her to have felt those emotion for him at some point even if they were fleeting after he called her up to tell her (ever since you admitted it) he was photographed (I can’t unsee it) with some other girl. Also totally see the point about the red wig in the music video but I think that’s just a nod to the fact that it was suppose to be on red then a specific nod to Jake. Also think her highlighting what about your promises is interesting. It’s not what about your love, or commitment or something that could imply a more stable relationship. What about your promises feels very much like the undefined on and off something that Taylor and Harry had.

Cody

The party seen with her in the dress I take as the lyrics say The idea of me who was she a never needy ever lovely jewel who's shine reflects on you. And as she is looking around the party she see's all these woman that are just there to be the arm candy of the person that brought them and see's thats what she was to him the jewel for him to show off

Courtney A

Emily and Bonnie are feeding us and I’m here for it! 💚

Amanda G

I’m not done so you guys may say this later, but I thought she did the titles on the segments bc they are chapters of the book. Like this is the story the book is telling.

Ally ❤️

Ahhhhhhhh! I’m so excited 😆

Lea

That’s a really good point!

Lea

I always thought that the reason why the house and the parties aren’t as „fancy“ as you‘d expect them to be is because these two AREN‘T Taylor and Jake. I feel like this film shows their relationship dynamic and many intimate details but it’s not actually them. She is not a singer, she’s a writer. She’s just a stand in for Taylor but she’s a „normal“ person and not a famous celebrity. I think she also did that to make it more relatable. The emotions and the experiences are the same but the people and their surroundings aren’t.

Ruby Ozolins

Sooo good - been waiting for this one 😍 One thing I have seen is the comparison between scenes in this film and the lover MV. The scene at the bday party has the empty spot next to her, and then in lover her partner is next to her in that spot when she is blowing out her candles. And the birds eye shot of the bed when she is crying versus in lover when they are lying in bed together. Just her coming full circle and showing what it should be ❤️ Thank you guys, so much content!!

chatsandreacts

aw we are grateful for your support, loving making these videos :)

Floran

The red knobs in the kitchen represent the gaslighting!

Jodie Newman

I love how in the scene where she's meeting his friends her hair/make up/clothing is just that little bit older/more put together cause she's trying to impress/fit in with his friends .

Patty Minor

Take a look at Maggie’s house tour on YouTube and you can get the feel of what the house was before they remodeled. I think that’s the house the scarf was left.

Mark Barnwell

the location reminds me of cabins I have been to on vacation and weekend get a ways. the best ones arent fancy just rustic like the outside. reminds me of 1980 with four other couples on a ski trip on xmas break.. we were junior and seniors in college and adulthood was calling. only one couple made it out of that time together. which reminds me of being in a wedding for one of those couples and the girl i had dated all through hs and college and i had broken up . our champagne problem was she someone knew deep down i was gay before i was ready to accept it. wow. damn you ts.lol

Jule

Loved this! Just started my day with watching your video and then getting a notification that Taylor posted about the song “Carolina” she did for the “where the crawdads sing” movie. What a good day already :)

Jule

I have a few thoughts about things you have or haven’t mentioned. So first I don’t think the scene of Dylan walking through the streets and him remembering is supposed to be him walking to the reading but just showing how while she is still struggling and thus heartbreak is consuming her, he thinks about it too. Like he tries to go on with his life but he cannot forget about this either and he REMEMBERS and it’s coming up for him while he’s just out and about. I always thought it’s supposed to be happening at the same time as her lying in bed crying.

Jule

Also have you seen the comparisons of the lover music video to this? Especially the birthday scene and her lying in bed? There is a scene in the Lover video with her and her lover on her birthday and he sits in the spot that is empty in the ATW film. And then there’s a scene similar to the one in “the reeling”-part of ATW where’s she’s lying on her side in bed. Both are shot from above but in Lover he is lying next to her. I think those are such nice parallels because it’s like she’s showing us that she’s now got that someone.

Andrea

Yes! I just watched the AD tour of the house... Very much cozy vibes like in the film!!

Andrea

I always viewed the chapter titles throughout the film as a reference to the end when we find out the character wrote ATW into a book! As if the film is a retelling of what the character wrote in the book (i.e. what Taylor wrote in the song)

Cassandra

I’m obsessed with your pants Emily

E. Zlatanova

Time for some honesty... I never liked All too well before. Wasn't my fave song of hers. After I heard this version I finally felt it. Bravo Queen!!!

Park Aishah

She's going to release a new song.. soundtrack to a movie!!! Aaargh!! Sooo excited!!!?

Sarah Sandell

That’s so interesting, never thought about that but it make so much sense!!

Sarah Sandell

so in one day we get this from you guys AND a new song from Taylor?? i should by a lottery ticket or something

Anna Miotello

THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I love that your breakdowns are filmed a couple of months/years after the song/video/album because you really have so much more hindsight as you have had those impressions and thoughts simmer. You guys always come up with the most interesting and detailed insights and reflections, that's why I enjoy your commentary more than anyone else's. I used to be much more superficial with music videos and even lyrics but you guys have taught me to be more reflective and observant. Thank you for that! I also wanted to say that I really love the role that colour plays in this short movie. In every scene you can see the contrast between the blues and the reds. The colds represent him, the warms represent hers. To the untrained eye, it's very subtle, but it's a really powerful symbolism and adds so much to the storytelling. Lastly, rewatching this short movie with you I noticed that the way the scenes are shot is sometimes suffocating, almost annoying because the camera is steady and fixates on Sadie and doesn't follow what is happening. This is particularly evident in the scene where Dylan throws her the keys and they drop to the ground. The camera doesn't show you the keys on the ground or her picking them up, it's steady and doesn't move with her face. This is a clear directorial choice, I wonder what the meaning of it is.

Hanna Kulla

you guys giving us so much recently how do we deserve🥰

Swiftie_mixer

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but a fun fact regarding speak now potentially being the next re-recording, the lake scene when they were sharing music, could be a resemblance of a similar scene in the music video for Mine....

chelsea pariseau

OK GUYS....i have this theory. Taylor loves planting easter eggs. shes said in a recent interview that she plans easter eggs for years in advanced... could she even really do it?? and then she gives a look. in this short film, she gives each scene a title "chapter". the last one is "13 years gone". shes written a book... so what if shes planning on releasing a book 13 years after the short film takes place... 2010!!!! 2023?!?! maybe?? All too well is very poetic, maybe a poetry book?

Hanna Kulla

the chapters in the short film should represent the different chapters in the book she’s writing later on

MarkH

I have to say that I find the short film hard to watch. It is too realistic, and therefore too painful. I can see Taylor did a great job directing, Dylan and Sadie did a great job acting, but that just makes it hurt more. I don't want to watch Dylan treating Sadie so badly, or poor Sadie crying her heart out. Its like a horror film in a way. I can see it would be an important object lesson in what gaslighting looks like, but it is not fun, even if it does have a happy ending. It is like watching Taylor cry when she performed ATW on the Red tour; its emotionally powerful, but it also just hurts.

Anne N

Saw someone online talk about the brief upsidedown kiss shot in the short film as the lyrics "back before you lost the one real thing you've ever known" play, possibly a reference to Jake Gyllenhaal's ex, Kirsten Dunst, who is famous for the upsidedown Spider-Man kiss. If it's true, freaking genius on Taylor's part.

Alice

Did you guys listen to the new Taylor song snippet? How excited are you?!

Ally ❤️

Someone mentioned that Sadie is wearing a purity ring until after the bits in the middle where they are in bed, then she is not. Purity rings were something the Jonas Brothers were really into… I wonder if Taylor had one?

Ally ❤️

Soooooo excited!! It sounds amazing and the movie looks like another home run for Reese’s production company!

Shawn

Love the break down!

Dswiftie

thank you so much for the video. you guys always do such a great job. you never disappoint. Do you know that Taylor and Dylan have remained good friends. Taylor Joe and Dylan were seen going out to eat and having a great time. Dylan was asked in an interview how he feels about Taylor and he said he loves her. She is one of his very good friends. I love it. Lots of love from Kentucky.

chatsandreacts

I haven't listened! avoiding it until we react hehe SOO EXCITED

Alice

I feel like Jake initially broke up with Taylor over something dumb like how they’re too different because of their age, as it is kind of referenced in the lyrics: “They say all's well that ends well, but I'm in a new Hell Every time you double-cross my mind You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine And that made me want to die.”

Shanna Jain

would love for u guys to react to rep stadium tour and Paris concert

David

True, but I find it extremely impressing that art can have this level of transporting emotions, allowing us to feel what the songwriter or the characters are feeling. I have always found sad art to be the most powerful form of art.

Cecilia Sparke

Do you think she wrote the lyrics 'I was never good at telling jokes but the punchline goes, you get older but your lovers stay my age' back then, or now? Those lyrics kick in at the start of the chapter '13 years later' and I do wonder whether they are new lyrics that Taylor wrote now or whether she wrote them originally.

Swiftie_mixer

Also, the toss of the car keys scene.... he didn't toss them to her in a ''here, catch'' way, he specifically didn't care about the fact that he tossed them to the ground, which she then had to bow down ''lower than him'' to pick them up....

Amy Vega

So the reason I think Taylor never got that emotion with Harry Styles is because she got a lot of backlash after Red, saying she always blames the guys and stuff, so she went into 1989 very level headed, which she mentions in several interviews. She looks at it at a “this is the way this happened” view, not “this is how you made me feel” view. Not saying that Babe is about Harry, but just saying why he never got songs like that on 1989. Also, I think a lot of the shots in the film are more just to fit the aesthetic of it, and not so much how it really was. Though, I always did imagine the sister’s house quite cozy. But I think her birthday was pretty big, and I always assumed the line about the actress in the bathroom was during her birthday because of the line “and there in the bathroom, I try not to fall apart and the sinking feeling starts as I say hopelessly “he said he’d be here.” In The Moment I Knew. Just my thoughts. ☺️

JA

BESTIES HS3 HAS A NAME PLEASE REACT TO HARRY’S HOME

Shannon Gilhooly

I saw that too! I always make that connection now. Since people think that was his most meaningful relationship and he’s trying to almost recreate that love w someone new, TS

Vanessa Lesser

Omg I thought the same thing when she posted it. I can’t imagine not hearing things and having that kind of self control with all the things she leaks out. Thank you Bonnie and Emily! I’m such a glutton for content I don’t know how you both do it 🤣🥰

Vanessa Lesser

This might have already been mentioned, but she includes the chapter titles in the film for each chapter of her book…such genius

Vanessa Lesser

Exactly. He never thought about her as if she was really part of her life. She was a trophy. It’s so sad bc the film definitely shows their connection and intimacy and how she loved him, but it’s hard to really fathom if he was ever genuine with her and loved her, or just grooming to keep her a secret. Ugh. It’s so hard to watch and listen bc of the manipulation. Whether it was intentional or not, emotional immaturity and toxicity destroys so many people. T is just amazing for channeling it into her artistic growth.

Vanessa Lesser

I think i read somewhere that the actress was Jennifer Aniston and it was backstage at an awards show party. Maybe.

Vanessa Lesser

I was also thinking maybe after the devastation and destruction of Jake, she closed herself off from getting to that level of an emotional connection. Not basing that on any lyrics per se, but personal experience. It probably was too scary to go there again and she had to keep herself protected. Until Joe. He wrecked her plans

Vanessa Lesser

Oooh I never thought about the other women being jewels. And she can NOT be that again, a new level of discomfort in addition to the heartbreak.

Vanessa Lesser

I agree. I’ve only watched it a couple times bc of this. It hits too close to home. Which is a testament to Taylor’s artistic genius. In some ways I think with narcissism, too much attention is focused on the abuser bc that’s how they manipulate people around them. So to shift the focus in this way is so powerful. Even if yes, it’s Taylor/Sadie’s POV, so they can’t speak for Jake/Dylan, more focus SHOULD be placed on victims of gaslighting and emotional abuse to tell their story and give them their power back.

chatsandreacts

omg yes you are so right he does do that!! wow Dylan reallyyyy understood the assignment!! He is so believable in that role ugh!

Joe Weaver

I think the magic of what the two of you do with these videos is both the reactions & the breakdowns. You can see on YouTube that obviously the reaction one get more views cause who doesn't love all of that, right? But I think for people like us who joined Patreon for this, we're probably equally or maybe more interested in going into the details of all of this. I hope that makes sense. So really enjoyed this one. Still need to watch the Miss Americana one (3 hours, a little harder to find time for but I will) & looking forward to that!

Rose Ellen

In the post-break-up party scene where she looks so lost, I love how it's over the lyric 'The idea you had of me, who was she? A never needy, ever lovely jewel, whose shine reflects on you' and we're seeing shots of other women laughing, looking pretty...like that was the kind of woman she thought he wanted her to be?

Dagmar Engholm

Them sharing earphones always reminds me of the line "Turn the lock and put my headphones on. He always said he didn't get this song" from Begin Again

Saskia Stoichev

LOVED watching this, guys❤️ I was curious if you'd mention that them solving a crossword puzzle in bed is also a reference to RED: fighting with him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there's no right answer

Johanna M

The "dropped your hand" reminds me so much of Champagne Problems' "dropped your hand while dancing" where the female protagonist doesn't know her own feelings or why she rejects the man she thought she loved. She is called "fucked in the head" as in crazy. What if... Champagne Problems is a take on Jake's side of the story (even though it is told from a female perspective in the song), both CP and Jake are portrayed as an emotionally immature person who possibly rejects the love of their life...

Joe Weaver

Harry's such a different dynamic though because Taylor was the older one in that relationship. Not that younger guys can't be bad but it's just different. He's not going to treat her like apparently Jake did. It feels like he almost thought he was blessing her with his presence & didn't even have to try.

Joe Weaver

I do love that the keychain available at TS.com says "f*ck the patriarchy" like why do we need to censor it? Not like we don't all say it every time we listen to the song. One of those funny things, I guess!

Catalina Borreani

I personally think they are new lyrics because how could she know back then that he'd still be dating twenty year olds?

Laura Stimpfl

So i NEED to share this theory that I saw in a YouTube video. Basically someone said that they think Taylor will release a book in 2025 (= 13 years after 2012), and that's why she's releasing a book in the short movie 13 years later. Also she said in an interview for red tv that she wonders whether she "can hint at something three years in advance" so it wouldn't surprise me that she is planning Easter eggs for the next years!!

Hayley Carter

The scene where Sadie is sitting near the book shelf gives me White Horse music video vibes! Did anyone else catch that?

Vanessa Lesser

Not sure where to post this, but just started watching Olivia’s documentary on Disney plus…if y’all are gonna do a reaction video I’ll turn it off haha

MarkH

I'm sure you saw that Taylor will join the Class of '22 at New York University with an honorary doctorate! I'm sure this means a lot to her, as she was not able to ever go to college and wanted to. I'm very happy for her!

taylor

can i just say that i’m sooo excited for when taylor announces speak now TV so i can watch y’all’s breakdown 😂

Alice

Awww you guys have such good self control! We appreciate you doing that so we can see your full reaction!🥰

Julia Drendel

we want unedited versions of your breakdowns and reactions! I honestly would watch an 8 hour unedited version of your folklore and evermore breakdowns

Julia Drendel

i would also love a pre-taylor's version breakdown of Speak Now so we can compare your thoughts later!

Alice

I thought Red TV was going to be the end of Bonny’s existence 😂

thesaltysorbet

Maggie G did a home tour for Architecture Digest. They live in a brownstone in Brooklyn. Could be the same house and you can see inside!

Kelly McCord

definitely think babe is about jake not harry. her vibe with harry has always been that they knew they were never going to work out. so the “what about your promises” that the person from babe made wouldn’t make any sense. because i don’t believe harry ever made any promises nor did taylor believe that what they had was ever going to be more than a “fling” - even if they did have those strong emotions for each other.

Kaycee Dratnol

I think in the scene where she is at the party she is trying to show the hyper vigilance and uncomfortableness that comes in trying to pretend you are fine after a break up. Also she is drinking in that scene and during the dinner scene with his friends her red wine cup is full. She is just saying fuck it! You guys are the best. Love your brains!

Steven Hanley

Thinking about your questions about merch things, I think it was in this video you referred to the Taylor Swift Cinematic Universe. I like the idea of extending that with he slogan "We are all REAL people in Taylor Swift's Extended Universe"

Jaimie C

So glad you caught on to the shot of Sadie's eyes in the rearview mirror. I've watched a lot of reaction videos and no one picked up on that yet. Plus picking up on the one shots and focus on Sadie, again not a lot pick that up. Nicely done!!

Cassie Strong

The way Dylan makes me hate him so much in this is outstanding. Like the power of that man and his insane acting ability is iconic.

Adélaïde K

I think the original house must've look pretty much like that. There is this video of his sister's Brooklyn home ( it's on youtube Architectural Digest channel) and the ambiance and design are very similar to the house in the short film. It does look like her style of home, especially if it's more of a countryside secondary house. Just a thought ^^

asquared13

I had so many thoughts while watching this - you guys fathoming made me fathom :) I think even if she had wanted to include the 10 min version on the original Red release, she would have had to fight so hard to get the label and everyone else to agree to putting a 10 min song on an album, and she definitely wasn't in the space to fight. Also after all we have learned from the breakup with JG, I wanted to highlight how she was still working, and she still had to be the public persona "Taylor Swift" while navigating this breakup. Its so traumatizing to go through anything traumatic in your life, and have to get right to work - let alone have to do any work publically.
