Yeah, I like the idea of just making this a new Lover era while we wait since we're not going to get that in the re-records. Then it would let you do City of Lover, the BBC thing, etc. Could go back to Fearless MV's maybe after Speak Now TV?

I’m just so confused that Australian schools don’t have a cafeteria. Like I kind of get not having provided school lunch (I always brought my own) but like where did you eat??? Anyway thanks for the video!

I don't know about every shot, but some of this music video was shot like 30 mins from where I live! It's in a neighborhood called Thousand Oaks, just outside of LA.

OK, I had an idea come to me! If we are going into C&R Lover Era until Taylor Tells Us Different...our own Cruel Summer if you will (even if it's almost winter in AU). How about having people submit their own Lover Tour (Loverfest) set lists? And then you could go through them in a video and at the end have Bonny's list, Emily's list & maybe your favorite of the submitted ones in a poll and see which one people like the most. I think it would be fun figuring out opening song, the closer, the encore, what old songs are included, etc.

We have a canteen (shop that sells food) and you eat where ever you want. Weather is pretty good all year round in Aust. Most schools have undercover areas to provide shade or keep the elements off. In high schools there are a lot of corridors and verandas with seats to hang out. In primary school kids tend to play and move around a lot more.

I encountered this song through the video. It was fun watching you ladies come to the same conclusion I did. I've never seen this song as romantic its always been about their friendship. I wonder if I had become familiar with it through audio only first if I would have thought differently. I seem to recall hearing about a fair bit of shipping between Taylor & Ed in some quarters. I was on Tumblr back then and a couple of fandoms I was in had crossover. I seem to recall them being a popular pairing in fan fiction. 😆 Oh, Loved the random school bus conversation.😅 No idea now days but my personal school experience can be summed up very well by a couple of movies. For my high school The Breakfast Club would be pretty accurate. Fast Times At Ridgemont High as more of a culture trend but it was too Californian to be like my school in Texas whereas the fictional city in Illinois where Hughes set all his pics was much more like it. I don't want to think about high school for kids now in the US. Its to scary for this convo.

I checked the kids' heights in the Joker & The Queen MV...hard to tell cause they never stand next to each other but at the end they are sitting on the ground side by side & it looks like they might be about the same height these days. Would have been tough on those kids to fire them cause our young Ed grew too much or young Taylor didn't grow enough! 😂

To answer your questions about US school lunches. Most schools you pay for your lunch. You have to qualify for it to be free. But for the most part, you have a lunch account that you top up through out the school year to pay for your food. You pick out your items and check out at the end of the line. In Elementary school (at mine anyway) we had to order food at the start of the day from the café. ie you would have a menu and pick what option you wanted, then someone from your class would walk down the numbers of each to the office. (a very coveted job). This was so that café would have the right numbers of food for the kids that day. In my Elementary school, once we had finished eating in the cafeteria/ auditorium we would go outside for recess and play for half an hour. Once you are in Middle School or High School the ordering part goes away. but they would still have a menu that you could see. My schools either sent the month menu home or posted it on the website. Supposedly so you could plan to pack a lunch if you didn't like what they had on. But then you get to high school and they system completely changes. There is more options everyday and you just pick up items most of the time rather than a 'meal'. so you get a pizza station, a chicken sandwich station/burger station, a salad bar etc. all along side the 'school menu'.

This was fun! For the first 5 minutes or so, I was thinking "Come on, guys, the kids obviously represent Taylor and Ed's friendship", so it was fun to watch you get there. I think the music industry eats its stars alive, and the fact that Taylor and Ed are so grounded and slightly weird has really kept them from getting ground up by the big machine.

I love the music video breakdowns!! I went to American schools and lunch you had to pay for or bring and there were lockers in high school, but no one really used them.

I grew up in America, specifically the Midwest, and we had school lunches, which we purchased with our lunch cards (parents pre-paid for, which is very messed up for poor families). We called them hot lunches if we got school lunch and cold lunches if we brought lunch from home. Movies and tv shows seem to glorify the cafeteria though. We had 1 or maybe 2 hot lunch options and then a couple a la cart items like chips, cookies, and candy bars (which I usually wasn’t allowed by my parents to get often because they were expensive).

Hollywood definitely glorifies the American school cafeteria. Trust me, in most schools the cafeteria lunches are gross! (i'm speaking from experience) Maybe in private or more elite American schools the lunches are better, but I wouldn't know lol. Can I ask, since Australian schools don't provide lunches, what do you guys do for poor students?? The main reason America feeds their students is because we have so many poor or poverty stricken students/families or neglected students (abuse) who don't always get fed at home. Sometimes school is the only place they get to eat.

At the high school I went to in NZ, it was optional to have a locker but almost no body used them after Year 11. We would just take a couple books and do all of our subjects in them so we didn't have to cary loads of books with us because #lazy

I grew up in Midwest America in inner city, so yes there was school lunches. they weren’t good. I usually brought lunch. Depending on income, the lunches can be subsidized for the students but its wasn’t good food. But, it was what it was. I don’t even remember it. I think the private schools are richer districts probably have good food options. Inner city schools didn’t have money, so we didn’t have a lot of amenities that other schools had, not only food, but sports amenities/equipment, music, arts, etc. They all suffered due to lack of money. I rode a bus one year, but the rest of my years K-12 I either walked or rode with parents to school. Either that or there wasn’t a bus for us and we had to provide our own transportation if we wanted to go to “this” school with better amenities and programs, but you had to provide your own transportation.

The folklore video...so crazy Taylor released folklore only 10 days after the first Chats & Reacts video on YT. Then they finally get all four parts of the folklore breakdown done & 10 days later (again), evermore comes out. It's also funny how short the videos are at first. Lover isn't even an hour. reputation is 1:23. Now, two hours? That's fine! We'll watch it! 😂

Grew up in America Midwest but outside the city in a agricultural area. We definitely had school lunch’s and lockers throughout. Lunch menus were sent home for the month so if the options weren’t what you wanted you could bring your own. I graduated in 2000 so no internet or websites till late in Highschool. Also once in Highschool we had more options. There was regular lunch from cafeteria, there was a cafe type area that one of the school clubs would have different options ever day available like pizza from Pizza Hut or stuff from McDonald’s, you also could leave and go get lunch wherever as long as you made it back before the next class we had 45min. That has gone away now and students aren’t aloud to leave campus. To many problems I guess. We did have the yellow busses they were terrible no air conditioning and where we were my bus ride was an hour and 15 min. 90% on gravel roads so dusty. But wouldn’t have traded that for living in the city ever. Made great friends on those bus rides before we turned 16 and started driving ourselves.
