Ellice Hulton

Yay SO excited to watch! PS would love love love you to consider reacting to Reneé Rapp’s album Snow Angel😇

alex

Also i was just rewatching Patreon videos so this came at the perfect time.. can’t wait for all the fathoming that will happen.. brain alteration incoming

sofie sandrini

I would loooove more Lana or reacting to unfamiliar artists along with all of the Taylor-Eras-themed-videos. Or like ranking of artists you two love, like we all know you love fleetwood and Haim etc. For the unknown I would personally love a reaction to a band called Scarlet Pleasure (album - “yiwoty” or “Limbo/Lagune”) just for the Patreon is fine. Known i would love a reaction to the Made In the A.M. album 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I know i’ve asked about Scarlet a couple of times on Patreon but I reallyyyyy want to see your reaction - they will change your life 🥹🥹🥹🥹 and even if you won’t make it a video I still want you to experience the superiority of that band and maybe give a review about 3 lines ahaha🥲🤞🏽🤞🏽 Ily two so much it’s quite ridiculous

Amber

i swear the lyrics to slut! are some of her best lyrics like WHAT she really said some things

Lisa

I AM SCREAMING!!!🎉

Darren Robison

Absolutely dying to watch this cannot wait for the fathomings

sofie sandrini

maybe a little less Non eras (as in 1989,SN etc.)-Taylor-themed videos and more new artists or other artists you just love or artists you’ve always wanted to fathom. So we Can expand ourselves “musicly” and the TSCU maybe. - but you know still keep the red, rep, evermore-themed videos, if that makes any sense? Ihhhh I hope you read my comment this time ♥️ ily

Darren Robison

Also i know you guys probs have a million videos planned but i would die to see you reacting to Snow Angel by Renee Rapp

alex

I’m very curious if anyone’s vault track ordering has changed since the release.. I’m honest I haven’t really listened to any other Taylor albums intensely since the release so I now have an very secure order (maybe I will regret this in 2s) 1. Slut (I just can’t with a beautiful love song from Taylor.. this went straight in my top 20 of all time) 2. Now that we don’t talk (at first listen it was is it over now but I have to be honest, if NTWDT comes on, theirs no way I will listen to it just once… like I need this outro constantly 3. is it over now (SO offensive what do you mean we get that bridge twice) 4. Suburban legends (love! the bridge, so offensive) 5. Say don’t go (honestly it’s just too sad but when it comes on I can’t skip it because it’s an illegal song)

Jessi Dees

Am I here as fast as possible to watch every second of this! YES Am I also going to watch every minute of the YT version of this, ALSO YES! Love you two! Thanks for working so so hard for us all! You are a channel I can come to for ONLY good vibes about Taylor. Not that I think Ms. Swift is above criticism, but it gets frightful sometimes and being on Chats and Reacts on every platform I'm on is always a safe place to feel good and fathom the unfathomable Taylor Swift.

alex

I hope you feel better soon!🫶🏼

Anna Miotello

tea, couch, blanket... I'm READY for this! Also wanted to say that "imprints in wet cement" reminds me of the celebrities imprints on the walk of fame in LA. And that makes me think about suburban legends and style and how she saw this relationship as something iconic.

Mikołaj

Not sure if you guys ve seen this, but her Little performance at 100 gala from 2019 is quite good, she looks and sounds offensive. Its on yt, 30min video. Cant remember if you ever talked about that, could be 'reaction' if not 😁

iLaney90

I didn't know I needed Aurora fathoming but now I need Aurora fathoming

M

I knowwwwww, I think they would love her 2 part album, "Infections of a Different Kind" and "A Different Kind of Human" !!!! 🥰

MsSophiesua Xyooj

Have you two ever thought of doing podcast? I could listen to you ladies talk all day everyday about Taylor! Not just her, but anything and everything else. Thanks for vault breakdown!

Ally ❤️

I feel that the tone of SLUT! is a close match to the way Taylor looks in the mirror when AntiHero Taylor is accusing her in the mirror in the AntiHero video… sad, resigned, all interior monologue, bittersweet… all the while maintaining that 80s synth pop vibe

Sean

We have been blessed this day!

Denise Graves

Happy Thanksgiving Swifties! Super grateful for this community & Emily & Bonnie 🫶🏼

Patty Minor

Taylor use to use MySpace and your identity picture was called an icon. Grandma Swifty here ;-)

Ramon❀°。

Still thinking of what could've been "Tulsi!" 😔

Rachel

omggg when you guys were talking about the lyric, strike a match then you blow it out, I realized that that's literally the cover of Midnights!!!!

Alberto

I think the different way she sings the “say don’t go”’s is actually representative of the sadness (softer voice) fading into madness (the screaming at the end of the chorus)

Evb223

Only 2 min in and I have to say THANKYOU!! The OG’s of reactions and the best! You’re both the most iconic fountains of knowledge and excitement!! Forever C&R Stan!!

Cristina

Ok but with "everyone wants him that was my crime" made me fathom that Gold Rush is about Harry Styles (and that weird connection from his video with the gold rush and eagle drive!!!) Help

Patty Minor

remember the slippery plastic water slide she had on 4th of July

Lively_Ash

It’s americas Thanksgiving & I’m so thankful for yall!! 🫶 Elder Swiftie that fell in love w Taylor from the jump & been a fan of yall since your 1st YT video🫶

Samskie

I think Slut! also connects to The Very First Night - "But don't forget about the night out in LA", and also "no one knows about the words that we whispered, no one's knows how much I miss you" / "lovelorn and nobody knows "

Sonya Payne

I always thought “Suburban Legends” was a creative choice of making her relationship with Harry more relatable to the listener. I think it’s just a massive metaphor song. Like for example a class reunion (listener reality) could mean an awards ceremony (Taylor’s reality) and also the reference of 1950s (also heard in Lavender Haze) is maybe a concept of a time where women were settling down and standing in a space of that era she could imagine settling down (or really wanted to) but much fathoming later to “Lavender Haze” she doesn’t want it, I’m just having a huge moment with “Suburban Legends” 😱💕

Sarah

Those are some really good points! I'm still in the process of fathoming Suburban Legends but every time I listen it grows on me more and this is some great insight, I'm gonna go listen again with this in mind.

Chloé

I love your different interpretations of the lyrics "handprints in wet ciment" I think it's such an incredible lyric that can mean so many things but this metaphor works so perfectly in Slut! in particular cause it's so California and LA and handprints in wet ciment could call back to the Walk of Fame ceremony and also the lyric earlier "being this young is art"

Ally ❤️

I feel like Taylor may owe Ke$ha some writing credits for “tick tock on the clock”

Ally ❤️

I feel like “Is It Over Now?” IS THE QUESTION..?

Ally ❤️

Carnations you had thought were roses, that’s us… “with the wilt of the rose…”

Ally ❤️

The “looming” beginning of IION also reminds me of Maroon…

Juicy Dragon

Guys, OF COURSE we keep coming back for more of your videos! Although many 'creators' have jumped on the youtube bandwagon trying to make a dime off Taylor, it is ABUNDANTLY obvious from your SUPERIOR in-depth analysis videos, that you two are TRUE fans doing it for the right reasons. Helping the real ones fathom along the way. Keep being genuine and you'll keep the audience. We appreciate you! Xxx

Ally ❤️

Also: the “uh huh” mimics the “ohhh” in Question..?

BratNDaHwz

I love Ke$ha, but that is a known phrase just like "players gonna play" and can't be copywrited.

Can

Feeling like hose on a slippery plastic summer & 1950s gymnasium is very American suburban classic imagery 🤔

Clash Fan

Omg I’m not going to be able to watch this for hours yet. 🦃 Family is lovely but go home already. 😝

Ramon❀°。

Its actually RUDE not giving Olivia writing credits @ 1:40:28

MarkH

Just starting, but I wanted to say I had the same reaction to the vault tracks. At first, I was thinking "Why did Taylor say these are so good?". They are not like, say, Style or Blank Space or I Can See You, where the superiority hits you in the face the first time you hear the song. They are more subtle, and they just get better and better as you learn them more completely.

chatsandreacts

Thank you, that means so much! We definitely want to start a podcast in the future, maybe once Taylor stops feeding us so so much with the eras tour!

Georgina

The 'handprints in wet cement' line made me think of the Hollywood boulevard stars and how the celebrities used to have their hand- and footprints in there. To me, the line implies they were both famous

Ally ❤️

Feels like a Lana lyric… YES!

Laurie Letendre

1:06 In Say Don't Go, my interpretation for the lyric "I'm standing in the sidewalk alone / I wait for you to drive by" is that she's not even waiting for him to come pick her up in his car, she's expecting him to drive by, so just to give her a bit of attention but then still drive on to somewhere else and leave her alone again!

Lively_Ash

✨WILDEST DREAMS✨ bc Harry has an unreleased song called HIM that says “ I was with you when you wrote that line It was me that you had on your mind So I don't wanna hear about him That nice dress in my wildest dreams The lipstick stains you left still on my sheets”

Lively_Ash

This makes me think she started writing Wildest Dreams w Harry, but finished it after they broke it off & she had a lil fling w Alexander who’s actually “ so tall” to which inspired Harry to write HIM but never released it…

Lively_Ash

✨SUBURBAN LEGENDS-I agree is a metaphor about Harry. The school or hometown is the music industry, the gym for reunion is the Grammys

Ana Noronha

I just fathomed that in "Slut!" bridge she says half asleep, as they are going to bed and it's luxury and kind of sexy because she thinks he's going to say he loves her. But theeen she goes on and says HALF AWAKE because they slept together and in the morning they were deciding to make their relationship public. Is that a stretch??

Katie LaFave

i know you guys don't celebrate thanksgiving, but we're all very thankful for you guys ❤️

Anto ✨

Maybe you could react to HS1 because after the vault tracks I went back to it and there are a lot of parallels with 1989 👀

Lisa

A few thoughts: Slut: “The wrong place and the right time” I take as tying into the previous line. Like, this was exactly the wrong place for her to be (being in a relationship with HS), at exactly the right time in her career (with what people were already saying about her, the whole “serial dater” thing) for the scrutiny that she got to get so big. Like a perfect storm. SDG: I take “The waiting is a sadness” in the same way as you, but also as if she’s waiting for the relationship to end because she knows it will, it is just a matter of when. Like… Is it over now??? I already said this in Discord, but I’ll repeat it: “I’m standing on a tightrope, alone”. Doesn’t she walk over a tightrope/balance beam situation during the Treacherous performance on the Red tour??? That song is connected to this album, I will die on this hill!!!!!!! NTWDT: I don’t remember who, but someone on Discord said it makes sense that NTWDT ends abruptly because the relationship ended abruptly. SL: I think in this case, she means “school” as a euphemism for “the gang” or “people”. IION? (AKA my stan song): You basically said everything, but I’ll add a few more things. In the outro she says “I was hoping you’d be there and say the one thing I’ve been wanting, but no” and in the second verse of SDG she says “Oh no, oh no, you’re not there”. Also, I feel this is the perfect ending song because it ends the album with a question, it ends with ambiguity which is what the relationship was. Not good, not bad, all of the above but no matter what, it was fucking SOMETHING. In conclusion, I think that to some extent their relationship was one big question to both of them, but they appreciate it for what it was and they appreciate each other.

Anto ✨

specially “Two Ghosts”, “From the Dining Table” and “Ever Since New York” 👀

MarkH

OK, look, I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but maybe Harry Styles is just a fuckboy. He seems like a pleasant person who is surface-level nice to everyone, but there does not seem to be a lot of brains or deep feelings underneath that affable exterior.

Jenny M

I feel like Is It Over Now reminds me of Out Of The Woods.

Bree

In Slut you talked about "adorned with smoke on my clothes" and you were thinking people smoking, i think she is saying she got burned by the relationship. that goes along with the lyrics coming after it too (lovelorn and nobody knows...)

Emzies

Double the length is where it’s at! Thanks, girlies!

Brittany Diamond

Please keep this up! I still miss the extended version of the Speak Now TV reaction <333

Carly

so excited to listen! just have to put it out there, am i the only one a bit baffled by how harry centric these vault songs are? i'm a little younger than Taylor, and obviously different life circumstances, but it feels a bit weird that these songs feel so devastating but from what the public saw their relationship lasted a few months, at best? can't wait to fathom

Shyla Hoffpauir

Time to blow your minds.. The sound in the beginning of say don’t go, is the same sound that’s used in don’t worry darling (Harry movie) 🫣 which is also the movie that dita von teese is in with the bejeweled skit with the martini glasses 🤯🤯🤯

nicole

The only reason I think Wildest Dreams isn’t Harry is “he’s so tall”, because Harry try objectively isn’t tall 😅 It’s the only song I feel isn’t about Harry.

Tess7

It took hours to watch this in between Thanksgiving stuff and chatting with family. I just finished and I wanted to say I’m thankful for you two lovelies and this community you created. I will rewatch it again when I have no distractions lol These vault tracks are so good! Is It Over Now is still my favorite, NTWDT still makes me wish it was longer, Say Don’t Go and Slut! are my second faves, Suburban Legends I need to fathom further lol I love some lines in it, but it just hasn’t stuck in my brain like the others, but it’s going to. As far as video ideas, I’d love some of the interviews from the 1989 era. If it’s other artist ideas- once again, I’d suggest Chemistry by Kelly Clarkson. I will watch any video you post though😁💙

J R

"1989", alternate title "Falling in Love With an Aquarius Man"

Katie LaFave

you guys didn't touch on this but i LOVE the backing vocals in the 2nd chorus of slut!!! the way she sings "worth it for once" ahhhh i'm obsessed

Tess7

Lol this made me laugh, I don’t know much about Harry so idk if I agree, but I love that you stand by your opinion 😀

OutsideIsOurSong

🫖 Besties! I am trying to become a tea drinker. I need it to have some caffeine in it, but please give me all your tips to make it a tasty/comforting ritual? (Trying to kick sugary lattes…)

Noni

Rank all the vault tracks <3

Kate Hutton

I haven't fully fathomed yet, but I can't shake the Suburban Legends links to coney island. They both mention the suburbs and someone being too polite to break a heart.

Angie Armatis

Idk much either but this made me laugh lol

F1Swiftie

I was at least one person who said that about NTWDT. Was in the car with my daughter and we were talking about how just when it starts going and getting good is when it stops. And makes sense because of the relationship.

Emma Leech

This is a superior breakdown, I loved these songs already but getting your thoughts adds so much additional meaning for me. I would also Looove to see your reaction to Masie Peter's Deluxe tracks for The Good Witch she says some things there!!

hauntedwillow27

i’m honestly so glad the vault tracks are about harry. it adds that extra layer. look i’ve ALWAYS loved clean, but it’s always been somewhat of a question mark for me. it’s a DEEEEP song when you fathom and to be honest it always made me curious why she felt this way “the drought was the very worst” with this nonchalant relationship. now with these extra vaults it’s made me appreciate it even more 😊😊

hauntedwillow27

another thing i was thinking about. the chorus in “slut!” ends in “drunk in love” now i know it’d be a HUGE coincidence cuz of beyoncé… but i feel like this could’ve been the original name of the song. in my opinion, it fits the song more. “got lovesick all over my bed” like from being drunk. also the song ends in that “drunk in love…” like DO YALL GET WHAT I MEANNN it fits. AND the “clink clink” like glasses cheering goes along with the drunk theme as well. and being drunk like ur in love but you’re also sick afterwards which goes along w that relationship. drunk in love by beyoncé came out in 2014, so taylor would’ve been writing it without knowing about bey’s huge hit. so i think for the re-recording she maybe changed it to the other sentence in the chorus where it says if they call me a “slut!” EDIT: lmao after i commented this you discussed this exact thing 😭😭 yall make a good point!! i love slut as the name, i just think drunk in love may have been possible!! a lot to fathom about how she names her songs

Jenna Bolmgren

I learned about Taylor from MySpace in 2006ish and had “Teardrops on My Guitar” on my page for several weeks. I was 25 at the time hahahaha

The Renn Domino Experiment

Taylor's publicist has always guided her through her career. I wonder what Harry's publicist had to say about his relationship with Taylor at the time. Did he advise Harry away from Taylor? I wonder.

Brittany Diamond

Fascinating how Joe has been (as far as we know) the only one to try and stop her from leaving in Cornelia Street, and it worked! She stayed! And then she didn't leave until he stopped fighting for her six years later. Damn.

Lan

I feel the "half asleep" phrase follows the lyrics that they were indulged in this love "Taking your time In the tangerine, neon light This is luxury", but then the dreamy vibe is switched to "half awake", which is realising the consequences that could come after this relationship went public, which would bring to "Taking your chance. It's a big mistake. I said it might blow up in your pretty face" So this bridge is a perfect summary of both the enjoy and the fear that Taylor got from this relationship!

Patty Minor

I was 42 in 2006 hence the grandma swifty

Erica

I think “you got new icons” is referring to him getting new tattoos. She’s referring to him looking different in this part of the song! Because he grew his hair out and got a lot of new tattoos. 😝

Fahmeen

Lollll idk how true this is, at least now. His last two relationships have been long term. These are things people also say about Taylor (like in shake it off) so not a very nice thing to say about someone we don’t know 😭

Fahmeen

Have you guys seen the tiktok theory video of how So It Goes… might be about Harry? 🤔

Emmie Kruger

Everyday I am thankful to be blessed by Chats & Reacts Patreon vidoes! Can't wait to watch!

Nicole Gordon

I always understood the “handprints in wet cement” to refer to the idea that she’s wanting the relationship to be remembered, but I hadn’t totally connected the California vibe of this song and the Hollywood walk of fame where celebs do put handprints in wet cement when they get their stars.

Nicole Gordon

This is not really about the vaults directly, but since you mentioned You Are In Love…. After listening to the vault songs I have a very hard time believing YAIL is about Jack and Lena. I believe it might have ended up there, but listening to lines about the light shining off the chain on your neck, and coffee at midnight (when we know Harry and Taylor took a lot of late drives), and now we have vault songs where it’s clear Harry never said “I love you” and the “pauses and says, you’re my best friend, and you knew what it was, he is in love” rings very much like delulu Taylor to me now. Of course, Taylor flat out said it was about Jack and Lena, but I just really wonder now if it started out that way or it just ended up that way because the song was awesome and she recast it for herself to use on the album. Just totally a wild hair, I realize, but I just can’t unhear it that way.

Takara

Laughing at the I think seagulls cawing in the background. Very on brand for 1989 😂

Jenna Bolmgren

The “is it over now?!” line (2:37:44) reminds me of “take me home!” and “are we out of the woods?!”

Isabelle K

With the hand in wet cement I was always thinking of their young souls and characters. Especially because she was talking about being young. At the age where they were in love, a relationship was marking and changing someone very deeply because your personality is so soft. And she has explored that feeling with Harry that she was deeply impacted.

boliaam

you asked for ideas for videos, and i don't know what your guys's opinions are about Hailee Steinfeld (considering the squad and everything), but i REALLY think that her two albums (HAIZ and Half Written Story) are so good, specially songs like Rock Bottom (which is my favorite of hers) and the lyrics reminds me so much of something that Taylor would write. Anyways, if that's a cool concept, then i would love to see your reaction.

sarahhdear

So my interpretation of Slut! is that it’s only half about the media (more so in the “before” part of the story). But I interpret the latter part of the story to be more about the next-level hate she received from 1D fans for dating the 1 and only Harry Styles ala “everyone wants him, that was my crime”. The narrative that she was “such a sluttttt” had been set in stone for years at that point… She knows what’s about to happen (“love thorns all over this rose” to me means scarred from previous heartbreak and/or experience being slut-shamed), and that she’s gonna pay the price a man wouldn’t have to. BUT she’s also acutely aware of WHO Harry is. As the story goes on and news gets out, the hate (and the song) builds. The sticks and stones being thrown at her became next-level, direct and personal attacks. (IMO) by the end of the song, it’s not just the media, but also her “peers” that are literally screaming SLUT! in her face. But she don’t seem to care too much (yet) coz she’s drunk in love. Bless.

Jasna

Slut has such Lana Del Ray feeling. 💙

MarkH

Someone else has probably said this, but the "hose on a slippery plastic summer" is supposed to evoke the slip n' slide kind of thing. Maybe this is just an American thing, but when many of us in the US were kids in suburbia, on a hot day our parents would bring out a plastic slide and cover it in water from a hose, and then we'd run up to it in our bathing suits and slide down. Here is the Wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slip_%27N_Slide

ttpd-24

Thanks ladies for brightening up a gloomy Friday! I totally get "What a real fucken legacy" vibe from "My life would be ruined" and the "wilt of the rose" "the carnations you thought were roses" Marooon! Gahh can imagine Taylor watching this fathoming going, yes you got it girls!!

Taylah Louise

The ‘slipper plastic summer’ is giving the same vibes of ‘bad is the blood of the song in the cab on your first trip to LA’ in terms of random structure

ttpd-24

That or she daydreams hers was like that... because she stands on the sidewalk alone in SDG... where as in YAIL "you kiss on sidewalks"..

MarkH

Now that I have finished this epic video, let me say thank you for giving us the whole thing! It was great and really fun to watch!

Derek Paris Frantz

Me: no I’m not gonna watch this 3 hour movie it’s too long Also me: oooo new chats and reacts video is 3 hours long 😍🔥🕺

alex

In my opinion 1989 is now a more complete album.. the vault tracks gave so much additional information but also emotional depth to this „lighter“ album (I see it this way) and kind of finished this puzzle that is 1989 (and answered question…?) and all that happened with Harry. It’s actually a lot.. to this point only red had this enlightening moment for me with all the new information we got, but this??🫡

Derrik

You guys are the best because of your authenticity. I feel like we are friends (or wish we were). Love sharing Taylor with you two!!

Daniel Youngelman

For Slut! I also find it interesting that SO many of the lyrics include the word love but in different ways in the prechorus: lovestruck, lovesick, lovelorn, love thorns like it’s a natural progression of how the love changed.

Emma K

I remember her saying in an interview that this love was the first song she wrote for 1989. 🩵

Gab

I wonder if she wrote/was feeling the feelings of say don't go and then shifted into writing wildest dreams. The transition from asking him to "say don't go" to "say you'll remember me..." feels like an acceptance that the relationship won't last forever, but also a desire for him to still recognize it as being special and a "meteor strike."

Meredith

Loved every minute of this! Been here since the first lover video! I think that so many of Harry’s songs show that maybe he loved her, but realized it after she was gone. For example, the song “I love you” he wrote for Alex & Sierra.

Erica

Hey besties! Before you upload to YouTube … you have the wrong prechorus on the screen in Is It Over Now? You have the second one showing when you are talking about the first. :) not sure if you even care but thought I’d throw it out there.

margaret morgan

“Carnations you had thought were roses, that’s us”….wilt of the rose, rose garden filled with thorns, thorns all over this rose….can we all agree now that Maroon is about Harry?!??

tia martin

oh i want the good witch deluxe reaction !

Samskie

It fits so well doesn't it!!! And just with the overall theme of 1989 too really, also with "I drive down different roads and they all lead back to you" ... I just love how we can connect songs and albums with these vaults!!

kayla

When I first heard Suburban Legends, the picture it painted for me was 2 people from suburban areas being destined to become famous/household names or “legends” amongst the communities they grew up in.

Abby Thaine

I love Slut! and have been thinking about it often over the last few weeks. All of the colors described all tie back to “the world was black and white but we were screaming color”. She’s so in love here her world is so bright and colorful. Also “half asleep taking your time in the tangerine neon lights this is luxury” reminds me of a new relationship where you are hooking up often and it’s very love filled. “Taking your time” also a play on the the other person/Harry being slower to commit or say he was in love. I like that this can be referring to more than one thing!

Makayla

I just realized while watching this vid that Bonny’s hair is so long now!! It looks so pretty!🫶🫶

Antonella Furchi

One of the things i like about now that we dont talk is that it sounds really cool and sassy but also at the same time she is being the opposite by showing her vulnerability saying stuff like i call my mum and i dont have to pretend i like acid rock.

Lauren

My first thought when she said “you got new icons” was his tattoos.

Takara

I really agree that Suburban Legends is using the high school reunion as a metaphor for their relationship. The relationship in her suburban high school would’ve been so discussed because they were born to be national treasures. They were so iconic (they never go out of style) that everyone would’ve been discussing it (even if she wasn’t there).

Courtney Schwarzbauer

I think suburban legends is a whole song written on metaphor. Suburban legends= legendary famous couple, National treasures = music icons who are dating each other, high school reunion=award show, class reunion=grammys/whatever, etc

Candy

Hi Ladies, I've been thinking deeply about why we are all so entranced by the Taylor and Travis love story and I think it ties as far back as these vault tracks. Throughout her discography, we hear her sing about her deep longing and wanting to be loved, wanting a lasting love, wanting someone who can handle all she is and celebrate it - and being fearful of the moment when a potential life mate realizes he can't handle it...or SHE realizes he will never give her what she wants - which is an equal loud and consuming love. Enter Travis. He boldly proclaims her. He celebrates her. He lets her shine and is proud of her. He doesn't shy away from any aspect of her or her life. It's the first time we are seeing her with a partner who is ticking all of the boxes she has been telling us about for years. Consequently, I love the fact that in the WSJ article Trav said he has been studying the poetry of her breakup songs...just think of the insight he is getting. If he listens to Say Don't Go, You're Losing Me, It's Time to Go, etc. he is hearing exactly what drives her away. AND HE ISN'T GOING TO FUCK IT UP! Love him, love them as a couple, anxiously waiting for the Travis love songs.

CamilleC

Those vault songs make me think about August/Betty/Cardigan songs. I see James been James Dean=Style now with his weak ass excuses, like HTGTG, it's all i see 😂👀

CamilleC

Or she's talking about something else being tall.. ok no? Just me? i'll go now.

Katie LaFave

we also learned in all too well 10 that Taylor said I love you to Jake first!

CamilleC

I think the rs was not as deep as the one in Red but i think it's a rs that changed her a lot. At the time Taylor wasn't the kind of girl to have situationships or to shows the world she had one. I feel he brought a lot of carelessness(?), "we can have a good time without thinking about wedding/forever ever after". Of course it's Taylor we talking about she was probably lying to herself, "yeah we can hang out" but deep down girlie was falling hard. I'm just thinking that it was a huge shift in her more conservative views about love at the time, maybe? Also feels like they had communication issues, that's the thing with hookups, and then she's saying she was hurt and then he's hurt. Idk it's interesting, i feel she's over the rs now but not what it lead to for her after. Both from the intimate perspective and fame too she's been cautious and frustrated and looking across the pond for a while after him😅. But it seems we are in a new Era with Killatrav

Joe Weaver

October 27th is the 300th day of the year. That's an odd coincidence with the 300 takeout coffees & the release date.

Daniel Youngelman

I NEED TO SAY “jumping off of very tall somethings” immediately reminds me of the Out of the Woods video where she jumps off of the cliff into the water. INSANE

Nele

this was EVERYTHING !! the vaults are just too damn good and now that we don't talk is literally my whole personality right now haha

Jennifer

Thank you so much for the extra hours of chats!! All of your comments about the evolution of how we can now understand 1989 really made me think about The Great Gatsby and how certain interpretations of this album could be a flip on that story — if a Daisy-esque character was the one reaching out for the green light as opposed to being the light herself… not sure if that will resonate with anyone else, but as think there are some very interesting relations between these narratives!

Sacred_sunflower

Bout to sit down and eat some pie, make some friendship bracelets and listen to my besties chat about the most iconic and illegal vault of all time! Taking my baby sister in law (15) to a Taylor swift laser disco dance party on Sunday 🫶🪩

Ruby256

This breakdown was so amazing guys thank you!! A whole movie! Loved loved loved everything said around like what she held back vs giving us the whole picture now, cause 1989 while being a complete iconic pop bible did always have that slight detached feeling to it. I thought the way the vault tracks were ordered was really excellent in how it actually brought that truth out - like she takes us through the course of her basically losing the plot through the course of the situationship, which she’d only really hinted at in Wonderland but hadn’t been actually Taylor-level vulnerable about. I viewed Suburban Legends as like almost the delulu justifications and fantasies that allowed her to take the steps backwards from the growth she made in Now That We Don’t Talk about realising a conventional relationship would not work for them, only to keep returning anyway because you’re meant/born/built to keep going back to each other like in Style, and ending up going mad as she then of articulates in Is It Over Now because there’s no genuine meaning left in whatever is happening or not happening between them anymore. The vault is all such a deep dive into her actual mindset at this time, what a treat!! Re Slut! and the handprints in wet cement lyric: I think it’s a reference to the thing celebrities do (used to do) on the sidewalks in Hollywood! think the iconography and romanticism of a famous couple doing that together fits into her like California-y glamorisation of the early part of their relationship in this song. Also fits into the suburban legends theme later on. Also think the whole first verse of Slut, plus this Hollywood imagery, is very post Born To Die Lana inspired which we know Taylor was at this time

chatsandreacts

hmmm nope sorry.... because I think she just loves rose as a metaphor for a real love like i said with the lakes too! Doesnt mean its about Harry in our opinion haha

Alex Engstrom

I believe I heard her say that she is a little more experimental with the vault tracks. Which is why she added people to duet with and stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if she made it have a midnights sound/production on purpose.

Katie LaFave

i'm pretty sure the model that taylor is talking about in is it over now is Emily Ostilly. There are photos of them kissing while him and Taylor were together

Autumn Atencio

“Icons” are also used to refer to tattoos!

Kristin

So excited for not one but two Ari chicken sightings! 🥰 Thank you for such a SUPERIOR breakdown. Had so much fun watching this 🩵

Vishnu Vijayan

hey guys, love the reaction so much, wanted to know if youd be reacting to fruitcake , the holiday collection album by sabrina carpenter ? Would love to see it

Ileana Isabel

Wait!! Babes, in Is It Over Now i thought you were gonna mention the *ahhhh ahh ah, ahhhh ahh ah* backing vocal from the end of OOTW, instead of the oh ohh oh oh 🙈🙈 that's the one i thought was more similar to the *ahh ahhh* in the musical break on is it over now

Jennifer Nolan

One of the things that hits me with Is It Over Now....is the 'something greater' lines. One Direction has a song titled Something Great on their album Midnight Memories released in 2013. That cannot be a coincidence with Taylor's lyric choice in the something greater lines, it just can't be.

iiam4sh_

Omg the “did you get anxious tho on the way home” lyric and your fathoming reminds me of when Harry won aoty at the Grammys and she was the first one to stand up for him because he was probably anxious infront of all those people.

kelsie

in now that we don’t talk, i think the mega yacht lyric is in reference to richard branson, who owns an island in the british virgin islands. harry was pictured with him in a hot tub (along with others) on richard’s private island the day after taylor left alone on the boat. this might also play into the “new icons” lyric. he could’ve been trying to impress these types of “important men who think important thoughts” on this particular vacation and she was just not having it.

Mex

as a p.e. teacher who whose classroom was a gymnasium in a school built in the 1950's, it's very common in this country to still be using 70 year old school buildings. for the girl who had few friends and had classmates who made fun of her for her musical interests, i'm sure she pictured what it would be like to walk in with harry styles and see the reaction from all the people who thought she was so uncool. she tells us that she's been scheming like a criminal to make the people who didn't want to be friends with her love her.

Sommer Ellis

I actually get the feeling that the “high school” section of Suburban Legends is a metaphor for something bigger like in Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince-maybe for their circle of friends/their industry. She didn’t feel like the cool girl in the industry and would have loved to walk in with Harry to the “class reunion” (aka an award show or industry event). They would be the talk of the town. Also that they both came from small towns and would be the National Treasures of their respective countries.

TScout

Do you guys have Slip ‘N Slides in Australia? “I let it slide like a hose on a slippery plastic summer” just screams that fast and fun slide that’s also a bit of a dangerous activity that you hurl yourself into. It’s a bit headless and often ends in injury.

TScout

I agree so hard. That is exactly how I always took it!

brenda 🌸

Okay I just fathomed SOMETHING…. RED blood WHITE snow BLUE dress on a boat Red white and blue are the colours of the American flag and also the… British flag???? Sorrryyyyy?? Her and Harry??? 🇺🇸🇬🇧 I’m not okay

h 🎀

She does voice memos on the vault tracks on tumblr!!!!!

Cecilia Sparke

Thank you so much, I'm so glad we get this extended cut! Thoughts on Suburban Legends: it's definitely about Harry and I take the essence of the song to be v similar to Style - we never go out of style / we were born to be suburban legends / we were born to be national treasures. The lyric 'I see your profile and your smile on unsuspecting waiters' reminds me of 'I thought I saw you at the bus stop, I didn't though'. And my first take on interpreting 'hand prints in wet cement' was that it was a metaphor for the impressions a hand leaves when you press it onto skin, say onto someone's back. The cement is 'wet' so is malleable like skin. Could be totally wrong on that one!

sav

i am so excited to watch 🥰 - also will you all be watching the rep tour before it leaves netflix even if rep isn’t announced this weekend?! dying to see your reaction. also in mourning for losing it 💔

V. Babida

Omg SO EXCITED to watch this today and fathom with you! I’m still so shook over this vault collection, it’s so superior!

Jenna Franchi

the handprints in wet cement makes me think of the Hollywood walk of fame.

Cambryn Adams

"we'll pay the price I guess" makes me think she had a realization about what his reputation was at the time too. like it was her realizing that he was being labeled this "womanizer" at the same time that she got all of the heat for "dating all of these men." (Not saying that they were on the same level, but its a similar concept) She went from saying "ill pay the price, you wont" to "WE'LL pay the price"

Julia

There are two meows in ntwdt!! Right after each other :)

libby

i’ve always felt like the beginning of “Is It Over Now?” could be from a video of Taylor and Harry laughing and having fun bc i hear a male voice and the squeal sounds like Taylor laughing

Aloha Record Sargent

I think you're right about the cocktails in "Slut" because a Pink Flamingo is a very famous vodka cocktail!

Andreas Mainka

I have so many breakdowns over the sounds and the content of the vault. It is just so good. Love you two, thank you for everything. <3

Liz

There is a laughing gull call in Say Don’t Go. It’s the rarh like sound. Laughing gulls are also the species of gull on the 1989 cover.

Katie LaFave

also the ohs in the second pre-chorus are very similar to the ones in OOTW

Katie LaFave

PLEASE REACT TO THE GOOD RIDDANCE BONUS TRACKS ON YOUTUBE!!!!

Ash

I’ve been waiting for you guys to acknowledge jacks backing vocals in NTWDT!! It was the first thing I noticed

Katie Walters

From experience, Harry behaved like a true Aquarian in this relationship. It’s absolutely maddening. And that’s why she says we can’t be friends in NTWDT because its too hard to just be friends with someone that’s ok with a situationship when you’re in love with them. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Dylan Turner

You guys will always be the first reactions I want and love the most!!

iiam4sh_

I would love to see reactions of all of Harry’s songs about Taylor because there’s a lot of connections between Harry and Taylor’s songs and its superior

Hannahhhhhh

All I picture when she says "I think about jumping off of very tall somethings" is the scene in OOTW music video where she jumps off the cliff into the ocean - I can literally imagine her saying that line in that scene and I'm obsessed. I just love how so much of the imagery connects!

Dawn

Immediately!!

Bea

Guys please do a Hozier Unreal Unearth Breakdown, with all your Fathomings for Taylor’s songs I’d love to know what you’d come up with for his lyrics 🧡

Staci DaSilva

You’re right, the vault songs all refer to Taylor being the one to leave Harry. But it IS referenced in OOTW - I walked out, I said "I'm setting you free.” I think Harry did that male thing where they slowly back away until you break up with them because they’re too chicken or “polite” as Taylor puts it.

Hannah S

It would be great to see you react to Harry’s songs suspected to be about Taylor and get those lyrical parallels. It’s kinda like when you reacted to Joshua Basset where it’s cool to see how two artists write about the same relationship.

Hannah S

The lyric about seeing your face in unsuspecting waiters reminds me of The One. Where she thought she saw him at the bus stop but didn’t though. I like the idea that she still has these questions about what happened there. It’s a color shes searched for since - we were something don’t you think so?

Arrow

"Maiden" also specifically means "virgin" which when compared to "model" in the other prechorus (models are often stereotyped as promiscuous) brings to mind "the only kind of girl they see/is a one night or a wife" and maybe also a subtle dig at him and how he sees women or approaches relationships. Also if you're looking for something new to react to please please please would you react to Tenille Art's album "Girl to Girl"?? It's a great country album that explores a few different themes and I would love to here you guys' takes on it!!

kayla

Okay, thinking about it from a different perspective, the “Suburban Legends” are what they are when they’re together. Everyone is talking about them, speculating, obsessing etc.

Caroline

"I let it slide like a hose on a slippery plastic summer." Did you all grow up with 'Slip 'N Slides'? This lyric conjures up such a specific childhood image of playing in the backyard on our slip n slide. You had to hook up the hose and it was basically a sheet of plastic you slide on. I'm the same age as Taylor so I love imagining we both had one :)

kate

if you guys were ever looking for a general taylor video idea i think it could be cool to go through and talk about all the times she’s brought up andrea and also like all her family/friends who we know are being referenced throughout her discography!!

Kellie

I’m late to this conversations but my takes are as follows: I think the sound in IION?/DR (for no reason other than I want it to be) is an edited version of Taylor’s “aaah” at the end of the video clip of her and Jack finishing Getaway Car; I think Suburban Legends is absolutely about Harry for all the reasons stated in the video but also that we know from previous vault songs, she’d re-use concepts or ideas in later albums and I think she reused the high school metaphor for MA&tHP and also, arguably, if she can sing “red blood/white snow/blue dress/on a boat” and we all know what she’s talking about, they already are Suburban Legends.

Ethan Nguyen

i would like the newest 1975 album that jack produced!!! it’s called being funny in a foreign language

Sara🇸🇪

Would love an reaction to Dermot Kennedys Sonder🥹😍

Sweetfxckery

if you’re still planning on reacting to more eras tour openers i think muna self titled and paramore this is why would be good choices 🫶

Noah Sharon

About the icons, I always took it as she is talking about his new tattoos possibly? Icons as in symbols, like ones that people would tattoo on their body?

Esther

I think 'you got new icons' could be a double entendre - new musical inspirations but also new tattoos??

Noa

I would love if you guys reacted to the grammy museum performances! Love you guys

j🪩

i know you girls have slightly reacted to this already but if y’all can react to the full length Grammy performances from the 1989 era??!! i am OBSESSED with her performances during that! ootw piano performance and wildest dreams electric guitar 😍 so superior!! and she really says some things with how 1989 came to be for her!

Anya Congreve

Please react to the good witch deluxe!!

Lynn D'eer

Thank you for the Twilight comment, that also immediately popped in my head when I heard that lyric ;-)!

Johanna M

You are so right! "It' time to go" is an amazing song. I listened to it a lot by accident the past few months because I had put it on a few playlists I listen to fairly regularly. At first ITTG was so depressing to me because the song is very matter of fact. But by now I find the song very freeing and it gives me a boost of confidence to listen to my own heart more. ITTG was definitely a grower and I am glad I stuck it out. 🤎

Chelsea Brown

I saw someone either here or on twitter say that Suburban Legends was kinda like the Timeless of a relationship destined to happen but doomed to fail, and that really stuck with me. She fantasizes about a simpler life with him, with high school reunions and backyards, but ultimately they are just what people will talk about at the dinner table forever. Y'all mentioned a lot of the lyrical parallels I see already! “High tide came and brought you in...currents swept you out again” is similar to “waves crash on the shore, I dash to the door, you don’t knock anymore.” “When you told me we'd get back together, and you kissed me in a way that's gonna screw me up forever” = "your kiss, my cheek, I watched you leave, your smile, my ghost, I feel to my knees." It's really made me certain that gold rush is a Haylor song. "And the coastal town we never found will never see a love as pure as it." Surburban Legends is my favorite vault song at the moment because the lore is SO interesting and I think the bridge/outro is so surprising and satisfying.

lizzy

It's funny because I agree with so much of your guys' perspectives about 1989 but the key difference, something you guys always bring up, is feeling like 1989 isn't as deep of a love, isn't as deep Red in a sense.... and I feel like my perspective is summarised by the progression of "the rest of the world was black and white but we were in screaming colour" to "Before you painted all my nights A color I've searched for since". It just proves that this was the most high intensity epic right person wrong moment starcrossed vibe Taylor had felt (and maybe has since if we take the "Question...?" of it all. And that's why Question hit so hard for me immediately because I was like THE CONFIRMATION. It was the one love she tried to brush off, but couldn't completely hate on because it never became pure breakup pain, it's wistful/longing heartbreaking almost but never out of the woods yet never out of style and is it over? I know you guys aren't saying it's less meaningful, but I just mean that in a way of it's own I think it's the deepest romantic/romanticisation album Taylor has ever made.

Alexis

So another thing about Suburban Legends is some of the connections to Coney Island. “I broke my own heart because you were too polite to do it.” “What's a lifetime of achievement If I pushed you to the edge But you were too polite to leave me?” And also “The mischief, the gift-wrapped suburban dreams”.

Saarz23

THE START OF SAY DONT GO IS BERY SIMILAR TO TINA TURNER’S - THE BEST 🖤

ttpd-24

Soooo I was fathoming Tis the damn season: “If you don’t ask me to stay” …say don’t go “And the heart I know I’m breaking is my own” …I broke my own heart “We could call it even” … said I’ve been there a few time too

Gabriela

I think that the 300 takeout coffees later and then 300 blind dates later is saying the different things they were doing in the same 10 months. She was casually going about life and he was dating around that whole time.

Erin M

for Say Don’t Go you mentioned how there are additional backing vocals in each chorus. I always took this as each chorus is further into their on and off relationship, she has said or thought “say don’t go” before and each time her past self is layering on top of her current words.

Erin M

in Now That We Don’t Talk, the line “I pay the price for what I lost and what it cost” I think price and cost are different things. The price being called a slut, she knew going in what people were going to say, she paid the price (he won’t). But what it cost was something else that she didn’t think to expect in the initial price. Maybe the cost was going mad (wonderland reference)

Riley Bidwell

Taking a pause from watching to comment on the “wet cement” lyric. I think it’s referencing the walk of fame in Hollywood where stars leave their handprints in wet cement. It plays on the idea of them both being star-studded individuals, but also they will forever be marked by their time together. So she’s just an evil genius furthering the idea that she knew she’d be scarred by this love but connecting it to the LA imagery that exists throughout the song.

Natalie T

The breakdown videos are my favorite!! I love critical analysis of any art form! Thank you this was brilliant 💙

Abby Magliaro

i always thought of “hose on a slippery plastic summer” to reference like a slip & slide that is basically a sheet of plastic that you cover with water usually from a hose and play on during a hot summer day- “slide on slippery plastic” it’s SUCH a good metaphor!

Jessie

I loooove in NTWDT Andrea telling Taylor to get it off her chest...because i think she's means "write a song about it" THIS SONG!!!

Kirrily Lewis

Love it B & E. In NTWDT I heard the important men who think important thoughts is reference to being on the Virgin boat with Richard Branson ? And sounds like it’s the same ‘blue dress on a boat’ time. What do you think?

Aloha Record Sargent

Do you think "tick-tock on the clock, I pace down your block" is connected to the Coney Island lyric, "Were you waiting at our old spot, in the tree line, by the gold clock?"

Farah Canicosa

What I also fathomed about "Sunrise" boulevard is like it's the start of the relationship (as opposed to sunset which is the end) and the fact that "clink clink" also signifies a beginning, almost like a toast to the new relationship

Kimberly

I need MORE appreciation for “the sticks and stones they throw froze mid-air”!! The colloquial saying is “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”. IMO her lyric not only says their relationship makes her feel invisible to tabloid slut shaming, but ALSO means that all the gossip and slut shaming has always hurt her…until this particular relationship. and by saying “sticks and stones” this lyric implies the colloquial saying is BS. Maybe this is obvious to everyone but it wasn’t to me…

Joanne Blade

LOVEEEE THIS BREAKFOWN THANK YOU SO MUCHHH! ❤️❤️ The mega yacht, important men, important thoughts lyrics… wasn’t this about when they broke up and she was in the blue dress on the boat, I think she was leaving Richard Branson’s island because there were photos of Harry with Branson that followed shortly afterwards. I think they had been holidaying on his island together. I need to find the linkkk! Has anyone else seen this?!!

Joanne Blade

Ties in with Is It Over Now!!

Clara

I think Harry was such a muse because John (Frightful) Mayer might have been her first situationship, but he gave her nothing and she still had hope. It was youthful, fairytale hope, but it was there. Harry was the next one, and he was so HARRY. He was cool, something she craved. He was loving, something she craved. He was probably very supportive of her career and talent and all the things the public sees him being. And yet, he didn't peak the hill into commitment --- something she was so willing to give (see her whole catalog). That duality would lead to a lot of contemplation, and it would make sense as to why she attached herself to the commitment provided by Frightful Adam. She thought she had learned in SN and Red.

Sarah

Oooh I love this! So cool those connections between This Love & Suburban Legends. Makes me appreciate and fathom SL more. It's been my least fave of the 1989 vault but it's growing on me more and more!

Sarah

Yes exactly!! Like in the NTWDT lyric "you faded till I left"!

Sarah

Whoaaaa I never noticed this till your comment!

Sarah

No. Way. Her mind!!

Roger Anderson

I'm pretty sure "host on a slippery plastic summer" refers to a Slip-N-Slide. Every American kid in the 70s and 80s had one. Maybe 90s kids too? You just slide around out of control. Do you have Slip-N-Slides down there? Do you have products from Wham-O? We need to send you an Americana care package.

Kim

Have y'all done a video on your ranking of Taylor's best albums? I'd love to see y'alls personal rankings and a video of why and what is your stan album.

Madison Sturdevant

Friendly reminder that the photoshoot of the squad on the 4th of July from the 1989 era features a giant Slip-N-Slide!

Brittany Fitzgerald

I’m not a Haylor, but I enjoy the narrative of their relationship so much and the art that he inspired. But, the video from the 2022 Grammy’s of Harry quickly fixing his hair as Taylor is walking towards him to say hi will forever live in my head😂

Brittany Fitzgerald

She definitely knew the Twilight scene, because she was with TL when he was filming New Moon. (The one reason I kinda think Midnight Rain is maybe about Taylor Lautner, because what guy from landlocked TN is jumping off cliffs into the ocean 😂 plus they were dating in the winter-Back to December-but I see a lot of validity in other guys being the subject too).

Hayley 🫶🏻✨

Just thinking about the start of Slut! again and how handprints in wet cement makes me think of Hollywood and how in Style she references James Dean. Also the screaming colour from OOTW is further emphasised by flamingo pink, sunrise boulevard, aquamarine, tangerine neon light. It all creates such a glamorous aesthetic, with her getting all dressed up, which is gorgeous.

Leah Rose

After hearing tortured poets the Slut-> Illicit Affairs -> Question...? -> Guilty As Sin? Pipeline is actually insanely concerning...

Breezy Bumbles

I wonder if “you got new icons” could be referring to Harry Styles (or whoever this song is about) getting new tattoos?

Razan

watching this now and i have some insight as a huge directioner/harry fan since 2012 before they even dated… i know you guys probably wont see this comment but if you do, i just wanted to let you know that harry wrote a song called ‘i love you’ it was sang by alex and sierra, and the lyrics are very taylor coded… hes basically saying that he did love her and he realized he did after she broke up with him back in 2013. in 2022 a couple of unreleased songs harry wrote were leaked including two songs called hunger, trouble, and him.. all three are heavy taylor coded: 1-hunger is mostly about how much it actually hurt him after the break up, 2-from the title, and it has so many taylor references, 3-him was written back in 2015 when she was with calvin harris, the video of him accepting an award with taylor and calvin in front of his face and he couldnt stop looking at them still haunts me. i feel like swifties never really understood harry’s side in this rltn cause most of the stuff he wrote about it is unreleased, but from what we know now, he didnt realize he loved her when he was with her, they were just having fun together, and when they broke up he actually felt the emptiness of not being with her anymore. and this is proven in ‘all you had to do was stay’ anyways, because taylor says ‘now that its just too late’ … in summary, he did love her and he said he loved her but after they broke up and it was too late. also, i personally believe they were still on and off around the time 1989 released which is why she held back on releasing songs that could hurt him I.E is it over now. if you guys want more insight on harrys side, the three unreleased songs are on youtube, and you should give a listen to ‘i love you’ by alex and sierra too, cause you can truly feel his heartbreak in that song. thats all! love u em and bon!

Breezy Bumbles

The re-records have made me understand every album in a way that I never would have fathomed if we didn’t revisit each era with the vault tracks and also her older interviews.

Breezy Bumbles

About the hose on a slippery plastic summer lyric…do you have the Slip & Slide in Australia? It’s this giant yellow plastic tarp that you roll out and it becomes slippery when it’s wet so you can run and slide across it really fast. That’s what I pictured when she said that. Like it was just a care free summer like when she was a child and didn’t have to worry about life. At least that’s what she was trying to do with this relationship but then realized that NO. She can’t do casual.

Breezy Bumbles

Another thought about the beginning “sounds” of Is It Over Now?….the one that comes in like an “aah” sounds just like a seagull to me. I don’t know if that’s what it’s supposed to be, but 1989 is the bird album after all.

Breezy Bumbles

Jumping off of very tall somethings is giving Bella in Twilight. And you just said this. But I would just like to point out that Harry’s middle name is EDWARD!

Ally ❤️

Here after TTPD…. And I feel that Suburban Legends is a better “fit” to Matty Healey than it is to Harry. Harry was not “cool” back then… and Gold Rush just bleeds Matty…

Ally ❤️

When you told me we’d get back together…. You said you were gonna grow up, then you were gonna come find me…

Boy mom swiftie

Rewatching. You talking about not writing about a relationship in hindsight, then she drops TTPD.

Boy mom swiftie

Maybe it’s there cause it’s a part of her memory. Maybe there were seagulls when she was in a blue dress on a boat….

Marissa Turner

When I first saw the lyrics "Flamingo Pink, Sunrise Boulevard" I assumed she was talking about Florida. Sunrise Boulevard is an iconic street in Fort Lauderdale that leads straight to the ocean, and flamingos are very quintessentially floridian

Alison Howat

Now that we have TTPD and have fathomed MH in “Questions”… would love you to refathom stay don’t go… 2014 the timeline lines up

Brittany Diamond

I thought they didn't meet until fall 2014, when 1989 was already done and about to come out?

LiliaC

I did have a fathoming that gold rush sounds a lot like someone she was not on a long term relationship with because they received too much attention.
