Hey y'all!! Here is the video edition of the chunkiest q&a ever recorded (maybe) !!! It's 4.5 hours of me yapping away, and I hope you enjoy it heheh. The audio version is still processing, for some reason, but I'll post that as soon as it's ready.

edit I've also uploaded it to YouTube here: https://youtu.be/PahgrVIuDVk some folks said they prefer watching it on YouTube so here you are :D

Thank you so much for your support and your patronage over these last 7 years (in October, my Patreon will be seven years old can you believe it!!!), and I hope this super super SUUUPER long video conveys even an ounce of my gratitude. :') Thank you for all your questions!!!

Sending all my love, Chey xxx

about the FOMO - I really really recommend Oliver Burkeman's book Four Thousand Weeks! It basically tells us how we can accept that there's no way we can do everything that we want to do. thank you so much about this long Q&A!! I do love a ramble <3

love love love this!! thank you for the long video! would you consider putting things like this on youtube as a private video in the future? purely selfishly, it's easier for me to watch when it's hosted on youtube

Meg

Hi! Obviously not your doctor, but I've had a few different doctors from moving out of state and what not ...but I never been told a *had* to take my Adderall XR every day. My doctor said it makes sense to take it a daily, bc my ADHD doesn't just effect my life at my job, but also my life as a whole. Basically she was like "why only give the best version of yourself to your job? Get help on the weekends for yourself as well." Plus, being consistent helps with building habits bc I'm getting the same brain function every day. But she said that some sometimes you stop noticing the effects of your meds, which is when taking a few days off can be helpful, in avoiding needing to go up in dosage. Since a higher dosage, gave me too many side effects, so a lower dose does well for me, and skipping here and there to help the effects still be noticable helps me. My doctors have also said while I can take it every day, it can be helpful to skip when I want to get to bed early one night (I have a habit of slowly staying up later and later, and skipping my meds makes me hella sleepy, so that's helpful for getting extra sleep and catching up.

Re: Liquid IV, used to get it from costco but the cost + sugar led to switching to a different brand. I get the electrolytes that California Gold makes (I get them off of iherb, i think it's like a quarter of the price per serving of IV) and really like them. But I've personally found that electrolytes are so essential for me! When I run out of them I can really feel it, I get so incredibly tired

Ares Apollo

Yooooo I'm getting a pie 😳 ❤️

Rooting for you to finish the cuff of your sweater!!! It’ll be finished just in time for fall!

Can I say, you said we "didn't see any of that" with regard to your toxic past relationship. Well, I'm here to say, I did. You'd mention things thinking they were normal or okay, and they weren't. Sometimes I'd think, "oh honey, that ain't healthy," but what do you do? You can't know how people are behind closed doors. I'm so sorry that in this case, they were worse– you didn't deserve any of that shit, and I'm so happy you're in a relationship where you feel safe and understood. This was a wonderful podcast episode– every second of the many hours– and I'm so proud of who you are and how far you've come. I can only be a Patron on and off (I'm a SAHM, I used my Kashkick money this month lol) but when I can, I will. You're so loved and admired, and such a delight and a talent. Never "too much." I'm also learning to unmask (I'm 99.99% sure I have autism, and so do the tests I took online) and you're a huge inspiration to me. Lots of love from Mississippi 🩷

ngaire

if i may put forward my podcast agenda as an ex wtnv listener: i'm fully obsessed with "midst" right now, it's a space western with truly the coolest worldbuilding and tightest story

I loved this video! Does anyone have the name of the Hozier song that fits Astarion-Gale handy? I need it for reasons. (I can go back and rewatch too, no stress.)

anne hohler

this was such a joy to listen to! thank you for the thoughtful replies to all the questions (soo many good questions! and, selfishly, loved your responses to my own questions) AND for taking the time to record, edit, and upload this - it was a big one, but so appreciated. i just finished listening and will most definitely listen through it again when i can in one sitting! :-)

I will also write that book recommendation here: I can’t recommend “Unmasking Autism” by Devon Price enough!! the audio book is read by the author themself :D

Thank you a ton!!!!! Just listened to it and definitely got emotional. I’m currently playing as Gale and romancing Astarion. I needed that. :’) This is my third playthrough and I’ve never successfully romanced Astarion, to my UTMOST chagrin. This time, I caved and looked up a guide to getting this amazing little prickly dude to like me. Thank you again for this song recommendation!!!! :)

rhys

You can't see it when you're in it 🥺 sorry people said things about it, that can't have been helpful, even if their intentions were to help 😭

Alissa Emily

Such a wonderful listen! Thank you for the care and thoughtfulness in your responses to every question! It speaks volumes to your character I think! And thanks for all your hoyo talk, even if I'm the only one out here who loved that part 😂😂😂 ❤️❤️❤️ Keep on killin it ❤️❤️❤️

Angelina

Loved this sm! I think I missed the name of the podcast you said had something to do with making fun of self help books (could have totally heard that wron LOL), could you let me know the name of it ? Thank you so much!

I think maybe it’s Books That Kill? A great podcast! Their episode about Jd Vance’s book is so funny.

Amy

I love your Q&As and hearing your thoughts!! Do you have a recipe for the pot pies? They sound delightful :) As a Xiao main, I also 100% agree with what you said about Xiao. I love his Japanese and Chinese voices so much and they fit him better as a character. I'm so sorry for the awful things your ex said to you, it must've been so hard having to tiptoe around him in your own home. I'm glad you're in a much healthier relationship now <3

Samara Hernandez

1. Cheyenne im so sorry you went through such a horrible thing with your ex, he was terrible and I'm so happy you got out and 2. GURL I could listen to you rant about him for HOURS it scratches the drama itch in my brain but also is so uplifting to hear about you overcoming a situation so many of us have had to deal with

cheyenne barton
>>148531366

during the healing process I was legitimately alarmed at how not-unique my experiences were!!! i hate so many people have had to go thru that shit!!

Zhara

Sounds like the lack of communication from your ex would be challenging even for a NT person :/ Can’t expect people to mind read lmao Lovely Q+A thank you so much for your time and putting this together for us :D I enjoyed listening as i worked

Nicole Claudio

This was so delightful to listen to! Thanks for recording such a chonky podcast video. Happy 100th episode!!!

Mathilde Vachet

This was so lovely and helped my long train ride to fly bye ✨ I am all smiley now, thanks Cheyenne for the always comforting videos☺️!

Rudye Breach

I would love to see you make a whole video about everything BG3 !! Like hours long rant about everything you love about it and your play throughs 😎😎😎

Bee Poshek

Chey have you ever played Detroit becomes human? oh how i would love to watch you play that. your comment on your dnd character drowning in the bodies made me think of DBH even though its an old one ❤️

Bee Poshek
>>148795192

also giggling because my first bg3 save was such a mess too. i accidentally incited a war between the tieflings and the druids so essentially they all died so i wound up romancing minthara as lil evil drow lesbian lovers which was not what i intended at all but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Casey Pace

Ahhh, what a great q&a! I’m just getting around to watching this now, but I’m so happy I could send you on a happy jaunt down memory lane regarding AFTG! In regards to what you said about people saying it’s really bad, I’ve seen that turn into the rhetoric around this series, but I personally don’t agree. Like yes, it’s over the top and the writing isn’t the best thing ever, but I’ve reread the whole series 7 times since 2016 and loved it every single time. The intricacies of relationships and characters that you get on rereads is just so in-depth and I just can’t agree with the idea that its bad. But anyway, there actually was a Rainbow Crate special Edition of the series with new covers and it’s definitely a lot better than the original ones (Even though I honestly still don’t love them as book covers, the quality is a major step up), I’m not sure if they’re still available though. There’s also a lot of artists who have made their own dust jackets that you can buy to put around the original amazon versions. ALSO (sorry for the ramble haha) The Sunshine Court is going to be 3 books!! And the first one was really good, and doesn’t just focus on Jean and Jeremy, but is super interesting cause you get to see Neil and Kevin and Andrew from somebody else’s perspective, so I think you would really enjoy it! Thank you again for answering, I’m gonna watch the rest of the q&a now!
