Hi love!! hope youre doing as well as can be right now. 💞 What has being in a long term relationship taught you? How has your relationship with Connor changed over time?

How's your re-examination of your art and your approach to it going? :)  Do you think you've figured out what it is you want to implement more or less of? Is your primary focus on the method and technique applied to your illustrations or the content and story infused into what you're illustrating? Both?? Would love to hear more :)

Hi Cheyenne, great to get to talk to you and hear all about your goings on :) I have recently joined patreon and love all the benefits that come from it both for me and you! I am a fairly recent college graduate (BA psychology and a minor in Art). When I graduated college I pretty much stopped making art for myself but when the pandemic hit I started dabbling again since I suddenly had so much free time. I got into youtube and started watching illustrators' videos like yours! You have been a big inspiration to me in trying to boost my career as an illustrator and artist too. I would love to hear more about how you started off illustrating and getting into youtube and eventually patreon :) Im curious as to how each step looked along the way and the timelines you lived through. I understand this is probably super broad of a topic and maybe a lot to tell so whatever you have to share is appreciated! I hope you keep taking care of yourself and remember that you are so loved to us and those around you!

Hi! How do you envision yourself in a year, 5 years, and 10 years?

Hello Cheyenne! So many things have happened and are happening, but let us instead talk about joyful stuff-and-things as a little (or not little, let's be honest it's me lol) aside. [Broadcaster voice] Today on: Distracting Cheyenne from the disaster that is 2020, we will be discussing favourites!! [RP accent] 1. What is your favourite thing about your art. Be it style, colours, whatever. [southern belle] 2. What is your favourite thing that always cheers you up without fail. [A small child] 3. Not a favourite, but: Do you ever smell or taste something that immediately gives you a flashback to a childhood-teen memory? For me it's two-bite brownies. They immediately send me day dreaming through my baseball years when I was a teen. We use to snack on them at games. Also the smell of smoke mixed with freshly rained-on grass, particularly in the evening/ at night. I get all these memories of autumns and halloweens passed 🧡🧡🧡. [Goblin-speak] D. Favourite tunes you've been listening to lately? Any game soundtracks? [Cheyenne Barton voice] V. Favourite queer icon and why!? [Johnathan Sims voice] 6. Last, but certainly not least, what is your favourite episode of The Magnus Archives and why? [Broadcaster voice again] If you haven't laughed at this point, well I- I do certainly apologize. Thank-you for joining us on this installment of: Distraction tACTicts. Please enjoy the rest of your regular unscheduled Q&A.

Hi Chey!! Questions are just all over the place (as is my brain lol). Feel free to skip any if uncomfortable! - I just finished spiritfarer and realized you had streamed it recently! What do you think of it so far? [Edit: Question slightly adjusted bc I saw in a later stream you hadn't finished it yet!] - I think what makes your vlogs really great is that the they often have a very good balance between the music and talking while keeping things aesthetically pleasing. It makes it easy to not just watch but put in the background over and over again afterwards. Do you usually think about these things when editing the vlogs? - Since you have started watching movies during quarantine, what would you say is your favorite? Least favorite? - I knew parents who were okay with art/animation but would draw the line when it came to theater. When you entered university for acting, did you get any pushback? - On a semi related note, if your 18 year old self could you see you now, what do you think she would say? Have your goals from then changed significantly? Thanks a bunch! I hope you're doing well. I love the mushrooms~

Hi Cheyenne! I just wanted to start by saying thank you. You do so much you may not give yourself credit for. You have created a cozy, inviting, and lovely space and you've been kind enough to share it with us - complete strangers who instantly feel like friends. I so appreciate that you share your down days.. you are only human, and seeing you take each day at a time has been such a comfort through these last few months. The internet is brighter because of you <3 Questions: - What did you think of Thich Nhat Hanh's The Miracle of Mindfulness? Similarly, can you share some of your favorite self development books (would love to hear some of Connor's too!) - If you could describe a perfect self care day, what would you do? - If you could travel back in time to any country and any era, knowing you'd be completely safe and could come back, where and when would you go? - Have you tried different ways of journaling? (at night, morning pages, gratitude, prompts) and if so, which have you enjoyed or kept up with over a period of time? - What fall recipes (cooking or baking) are some of your favorites? I hope you are staying cozy this autumn season!
