Ingela Barton

Wow can’t wait to hear this 👏❣️

Megan

because you loved the secret history, i highly highly recommend ‘if we were villains’ by m. l. rio, very similar vibes but think dark academia theater students and shakespeare!!

Cozyhobbit

Hateno village for living is such a good answer!! The sunsets there are 😍

Cassady Z Croft

Oh Cheyenne, big love to you for talking about figuring out career stuff bc I feel so seen. Im exiting a period of about 5 years where I had no idea what I wanted to do. I have a degree but didn’t want to get a job with it. I’m just now starting to unapologetically follow my curiosity and my joy and not worry about what I’m supposed to be doing at age 29, and I’m so much happier for it. Oh my gosh the difference in my life and how I feel about myself is huge. Much love for folks struggling with similar feelings 💞💞💞

Kurt Higgins

What a treat to find this in my podcast player on my birthday!

TeslaDarwin

Woot! I've missed these long Q&A's. Any chance of doing Tea Times again?

The Spiral is VERY cool (and the Buried is definitely the one that I find most terrifying....). Also: Thank you for such amazing creativity/career advice, I'm at a pivot moment right now and really terrified that what I'm planning to try and do next year will not be the right choice for me. I am taking your advice to follow my curiosity and my joy to heart! This podcast was a delight to listen to ^_^

My partner and I truly enjoyed your podcast while driving to Berkeley for a little day trip. This was definitely a treat for both of us!! thank youu!! ♡ I just turned 25 last month and I'm currently experiencing my "midlife crisis" phase at the moment where I don't know what the heck I'm doing... It's a relief that I'm not experiencing this alone. Thanks for the advice you gave about creativity/career, it straightened out my chaotic brain a little lol. Do more longer podcasts plsss hehe :))

kris.tiann

thank you for this brilliant little pocket of insight and perspective ☀️✨ wondering if it’s possible to have text versions or summaries (tiny bullet points or a transcript) of your podcasts? i love listening and always want to take away tidbits but i end up forgetting them along the way. i think i’m more of a visual learner!! thanks so much love you❤️❤️

molly

Also omg I can't wait for you to experience Tunic! It's one of my faves

Sami McDonald

I absolutely screamed when I heard you talk about Great Comet! You'd make a stunning Natasha or even Sonya!! It's my favorite show!

Audrey M

If you love Felicita Sala PLEASE read Your Birthday Was the Best (by Maggie Hutchings)—it’s so so funny, one of my favorite recent picture books. I looove Jon Klassen too! I also recommend What Is Love? by Mac Barnett, illustrated by Carson Ellis. (I work in a children’s bookstore and I love getting to read picture books during slow times!)

Sarah Mimbs

Listen to this at work and it made the day go by so quickly!! ◡̈ Have you read The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green? I listened to the audiobook, and it really made me want to romanticize my life! I felt like I wanted to really pay attention to what was going to on how I felt about things in my life!

Jordan Alice Fyfe

Love the very long ep. We did the Japan trip, started in Saporro and took the train down to Tokyo, then Kyoto, Osaka and some tiny towns along the way. Honestly, it was amazing. We went in winter and watching the landscape change from 5m deep snow to green mossy down the bottom was glorious. Highly recommend. 😻😻😻😻

Tas Needham

I finally got around to listening to this and wanted to say a huuuge holy cow/thank you for answering all of our questions!! Such a trooper 🤩 this episode was so wholesome!

Bee Poshek

Just getting to this but you're keeping me company as I go through a long monday workday, so thank you for the ep chey! <3

on ADHD household things: ✨️ask your partner to set alarms to do things (like an alarm for laundry every saturday/every other evening) ✨️positive feedback does a lot for feeling like theres a reqard atached to doing things in the household (since our reward system is screwed, actual rewards can help) ✨️talk about if you can maybe remind them in a gentle way about the tasks at band more frequently (like asking about cleaning the kitchen every morning) - this can be really triggering for some people but really helpful to others, so nuance and talking and stuff :) ✨️figure out which hosehold tasks ARE easy for them, maybe then you dont have to split every job 50/50 but have jobs they do and jobs you do ✨️figure out if theres aays to make necesary tasks more easy (like making it a music jam out session while cleaning the dishes together or listening to an audiobook when vacuuming) ✨️find out what your and their cleaning needs are af a baseline (maybe you really need the kitchen to be jn order and theh need the floor to be vacuumed for health or other reasons, then its easier - for adhd brains - to do the things that have an additional factor of importance)

add on: ✨️having a house organization thats adhd friendly (meaning: baskets and trash bins where things collect, that qay the chaos is more contained - then set a day in the week to put away the things in the chaos baskets and take out the trash) ✨️set visual reminders in place that can spark the brain to remember cleaning (like putting up a list of things to do on the fridge, making a cleaning utensil visible in the place its needed most often) ✨️encourage your partner to give themself positive feedback and tru to remember the things in the household they DO, because if you focus on what youre not doing it can feel like youre not doing anything very quickly. if you focus on what you are already accomplishing, its less daunting to think of the next things youre working on, because it seems less impossible ✨️great resource for adhd household things is "how to adhd" youtube channel
