EDIT: THANK YOU for the feedback! based on what y'all said, i'm definitely going to lower the bg music and make the show in the background less intrusive as well. thanks for the help y'all!!

SO I'm in the process of editing my ~packing vlog~ where I pack a bunch of shop orders, but I'm having trouble deciding on what to do with some of the audio. I listen to a lot of my content out loud, as opposed to in my headphones, so the ambient sounds of my packing orders are accompanied by Fantasy High or Mike's Mic or Cari Can Read in the bg lolol.

Do y'all think I should just leave that ambient bg noise in, alongside my gentle musical backing tracks? Is it too much noise? Should I just make the video clips silent and just have the music?

This little clip is showing an example of me leaving in the ambient sound/content playing while also having some gentle bg music. Please let me know what you think!

Leave it in!! It very much gives ambient coffee shop sounds. Plus it feels like a low-key part of your style since you've done it that way for B-roll in the past.

Tbh I like being able to listen to the snippets of audio without the bg music bc it’s like walking by an open door and getting to hear a lil of what’s going on inside :D I have no idea if this made sense ahaha

Honestly I think turning down the music might help it be less overstim or just removing background noise. I think one of them needs to be turned down a little so it isn’t fighting with the other in terms of dominate sound.

I like having both, however there is definitely some conflict between both forms of audio. Perhaps turn theusoc volume down when there is more BG noise (like a video or podcast) but still keep it playing?

I love the bg noise! But I also vote for lowering the volume of the music a teeny bit because all of the sounds at the same level are a little overstimulating as Rain mentioned in their comment. Can’t wait to see the new video! ✨

yes!!! for sure - i didnt see that id forgotten to lower both volumes a bit before exporting this clip, but im definitely gonna tamper them both so they're not too much for the ears

I like it with both audios layered! It’s nice when I have your videos on in the background while I’m doing tasks- I like listening to feel like I’m still watching the video and not just listening to music if that makes sense 💓 also side note, your skirt is amazing

I personally enjoy the music being lower at the clips when you're watching/listening to something. But otherwise, the music volume is great! Also, I LOVE Fantasy High! It's so interesting to hear the Intrepid Heroes while also watching your cozy videos!

I listened to this on my TV (thanks Chromecast) I found the background music a little loud during the first half, but then the podcast/audio you're listening to in the second half was a bit overwhelming.

Listening with headphones. The first part without the podcast is nice! The podcast is reeeeally clashing with the peaceful vibes of the music though. Maybe if that audio track was halved in volume or something? Otherwise, it might be better to just have the music in that part if we're thinking of keeping the music vibes going throughout. :-)

i’d suggest either making the music much quieter or maybe taking it out so it’s just ambient/asmr of you packing :) it’s a bit much sensory wise with both😅
