Good evening!After spending the past few hours on bugtests the midmonth update 0.4.2.5 is now done.

This update includes:

Natasha's bonus scene (reworked her images + alternative breastsize & alternative dialogue + a new animation for both breastsizes)

Reworked Verena's images

First part of Verena's content update (Story around Arianna continues a bit further, Talk to Roderic in his room after you completed Ariana's house arrest quest)

2 new animations for Arianna

Anya got her new dialogue images + character sprite

Smaller changes and fixes: You can now take iron bars from John's smithy if you completed his quest, fixed dialogue bugs with wrong images around Frisha & Liandra, fixed image bugs with Julia's piano scene, Penny will no longer float in the air after her first blowjob scene, fixed dialogue with Dave & Joseph

I've been setting things up by altering some daily routines and writing some key dialogue that puts things into motion. I've also started to work on new sprites for Verena, but they aren't implemented yet. You would think but in this industry that’s more of a two way street then a straight good vs evil. It’s true the leaks are bad especially the on the day of patrion build release but do to the size of this industry it’s also one of the only ways people find them to begin with because the game needs to be spread fauther then one guy can do by himself. That’s how I found him it was thru a crappy pirate site that got his game posted onto. Someone literally realest his first build on an off brand site. Now of course your going to be asking why and the answer is amazingly simple. The industry has no true market (unless you’re in Japan) and until f95zome gained power we also had no true hub to post games besides those crappy forums that only posted one type of game and nothing else (which might turn the player off do to its fetish specification). In otherwords until relatively recently unless you could get your game on newgrounds (he could not do to platform incompatiblility) or aquest to one of the forums it was extremely hard to find games and even harder to find it’s creator because he could literally be on one of fity sites. Now of course that’s starting to change do to f95zone becoming the porn game hub and patrion and other payment sites figuring out how to not loose investors if they work with the sex industry (surprisingly for that one, thank onlyfans for winning you gave patrion back some of its freedoms) but for years and kinda still it was the pirets and modders who spread the game. Ironic right the ones who will kill the industry if left unchecked also were a fundamental part in its creation,hell that’s how porn got started as well.

I wouldn't have known about this game without the places where it gets shared that are free, so I feel like it's kind of a moot point and is based more on the market agreeing on what is right and what is wrong. People downloaded music and movies through illegal means and now they still can, but the world/people have decided to move forward and just pay for stuff (Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, etc). They have the option of using pirated stuff, but they now choose to go legal because they actually want to support. I think it's the same here, spread the game as much as possible, Chyos has created such an insanely good game that a portion of the people playing will just simply want to support Chyos with actual support/subscriptions. The next big/important step is for Chyos to figure out what is the next goal to hit in terms of finances for him to get the help from people 3rd party to join in on the creation etc. And what would that do to the pace of the game / updates? If we knew that we could easily decide to subscribe/support x2 (separate account) and hit that goal and push for the next thing. In regards to the update, it is wonderful. I am just amazed by all the little/subtle nuances and changes possible in the conversations (even if more might come in the future/ not all are there), but the dinner conversation can go a lot of directions. Did you "steal" Kate from Rick? Did you have sex with specific other people in the village already and does Verena know about it, etc. This is what sets Chyos apart from other developers/artists. I mean, the animations and everything are really top class too, so that ALSO is what sets Chyos apart, but the different dialogue/roads/paths to take that all create small ripples in other quests and developments is the true magic.

Ya like I kinda went into in my point porn and the sex industry in general is weird both in payment and how it gets shared. Their not normal company’s or developers, nether is their distribution (even in Japan that has shops) and thus their structure is different. That’s why when onlyfans got hit and they all went crazy us on patrion and subscribstar just went welcome to our world. Porn is hard and it can easily break or make you but unlike other entertainment industry’s your on your own with no one to help you and the only way your going to get it is by scratching and crawling your way to the top. this industry you can eseoly just disappear even if your working your heart out because your not playing the correct game. Chyos is playing the game right so he will be fine but his growth is stunted by the type of game he makes. yet like the game as it exspanse and gets bigger and better so dos he. He will make it but it will take him time

Hmm I already posted this comment but it looks like it got deleted??? Trying again: Chyos provides a free version to the public a month after newest version, so one would've thought maybe that would help against leaks, but it doesn't look like it does. Maybe offering a free version is the wrong strategy then, as there are likely ppl who want to play legit and will only be motivated to pay if they can't get the game for free. NLT provides a free version, but it's always only half the game and will never get past half the content, even when complete. Maybe something could be done like this with ASWS, so ppl can try out the game, but have to support to get full content. In the case of ASWS, maybe this could be done with a demo that only has a few quests available. For example, follow Tia's questline up to getting to Rumah, but not complete Rumah, so the player gets a taste of what the game offers. Then the demo could end with mentioning the kind of content available in Patreon version, like starting up a mercenary group, saving a baron's daughter, etc. and more to come, kind of thing.
