This past week was rough.I pushed myself hard to get everything into the Verena update that I felt necessary for her Quest to feel complete. Given that this was just a one month update I had to make some cuts. For example I had already prepared a new dress for Verena that she would then wear... But the thought of replacing all her dialogue with new images... + make actual content for the new dress... It would have been too much. Even the scene at the workshop wasn't planned at first. I made the decision to add it while writing the story and felt that it was needed to better explain Verena's perspective.Overall I ran a bit out of time at the end. That's also the reason why some of her dialogue in Arenfield isn't replaced yet *cough* Claire... I also barely managed to give her some corruption based dialogue.. This is something I will add in the future.Yesterday I then started a turbo work on Penny's bonus scene because I wanted to get at least a part of it done before midnight. But even though I managed to make 3 animations + implementation and started writing the dialogue it just wasn't possible and I needed sleep. So I will finish the first part today and work on a few more images for it. The second part that includes the scene with Lucius will come next week.

Looking forward into the coming month there is a big decision to make. I know not all of you are a fan of pregnancy content. But others have been asking me to add this since the very beginning.By adding this for Kate I want to lay a foundation that will make it easier and quicker to add something similar for other women in the future. I also plan to rework some of Kate's older animations for the coming 0.4.3.5 update so that even those who aren't a fan of pregnancy content will get something new. Also don't worry if you don't want pregnancy content you will be able to avoid it.

But getting back to pregnancy: I have to decide how exactly I want to implement this. And I'm not talking about animations (I'll do that of course) It's about what happens after the pregnancy is over.I've been thinking about it for a while now and I've come up with 2 options.First off: This is an adult game and children do not really fit into this kind of scenario. It's also the reason why there currently aren't any children in the game at it's current state. This is also why I won't be doing any scenes be it cuddeling or so for child-like characters. So this means a child  character will get at maximum a few dialogue images and of course no sexual content. That said back to the topic. My 2 ideas for the implementation:1. After pregnancy the woman nurses the child for a while, after that it will disappear from the game being send off to a safer location (I'm adding a child counter to the relations screen) - This way we get the option to repeat the pregnancy events as much as you like while the focus stays on the woman and not building a family with her.

2. After pregnancy children stay. it will be limited how many children a woman can care for (let's say 2, it would get out of hand quickly in the future otherwise). I could even add kind of a progression for the child showing how it gets older and eventually leaves on a journey opening up a new slot for another child. I would combine this system with option 1, in this case it would mean that you could get for example Kate pregnant a 3rd time, but if you still have 2 children present the 3rd would be given away like in option 1.I'd like to hear your oppinion on this topic! You have an other idea about how to implement pregnancy? Let me know! You can write me here in a comment, on discord or via pm. I will make my decision next week when Penny's scene is finally completed.Thank you all for joining in this month! And I wish all of you a relaxing weekend!Update:After reading all your comments, all the pm's and thinking about this topic myself yesterday and early this morning I've come to a conclusion.First of thanks for all your feedback! It's really cool for me to see so many of you invested in the topic! It would take too much time to answer you all individually so I'm stating my decision here.My decision: I'm going to do option 2. But as some of you suggested I'm not going to let the child grow and then leave. Children won't have an age. They will stay toddlers and the amount will be limited to 2 per woman as of now. Any further child (I don't want to make pregnancy scenes unavailable after 2 times) will be given to father Francis so that he shall find a new home for them. There will be a child counter for each woman that shows how many they have given birth to. I will leave it open for now if I add any content for children in the future like teaching them to hunt/cut wood/cook or something like that. At this point they of course need a personality and some individuality. But this is a complex topic and I will think about it when it really becomes a thing.Pregnancy will be fully optional, I'm not going to tie any character quest to it and you can prevent it by dialogue choices. At the same time I see it as an "endgame" content for each woman. So after the story of the woman in question is finished I might add more to it if enough interest is there. The reason why I've chosen this option 2 over option 1 is that it feels more fitting to me. Like some pointed out the MC often talks about taking responsibility. That wouldn't be possible if the child in question wouldn't really exist. I think this way the amount of work will be manageable. The focus will still be on the current characters and their storyline. Some of you have pointed that it would be to early to add a feature like this. But at the same time I feel like I have to start somewhere. It has been on my mind since I started working on this game as I always wanted to add it at some point. You voted for it and now is that time to do it. That doesn't mean that the other storylines will suffer because of it. The developement of a fitting system takes time which is correct. But after that system is there (hopefully by the end of the month) I can replicate it in the future and then all I need to do is add animations + sprites + dialogue. I can then when I do such updates (for example for Emily) also focus on other topics that aren't only bound to pregnancy but also combine it with things like marriage or similar things.

Why not send it to Emily orphanage? I know its an orphanage not a daycare but i think it would flow rather smoothly story wise.

Chyos

That is exactly what will happen in any option ;) It's the reason why I wanted it to be there (Back when I made the last Emily update, it was even in the description of the content poll). The woman will have to nurse the child somewhere.. after a while she leaves and the child: Will be send off as in option 1. OR stays if in option 2 in that case Emily has to take care of it.

Prayer2009

I've seen on other games where the children once they reach a certain age are able to be given tasks to do that help the MC in some ways like gathering items or materials of some kind, i think I'll match up well with the trap , farming ,woodcutting or mining system you already have in place.

Lowell

I didn’t know that was the original plan, lol. I’m new here, but yeah I think option 1 should be enough for now, unless you’re planning to create a system where the children’s can help you around, ex: hunting, farming, crafting, etc.

Just

I'm not personally a fan of the latter option because age becomes a weird issue then. Every character has a given age. Not sure if ages change as the years go by in the game, but it would be weird to have children growing up while everyone else remains the same, not just in age number but in looks. The first option can make a bit more sense, since it is an orphanage and so children getting a new home when adopted fits well with that idea. I guess it's a little sad though, how to explain why MC doesn't want to take responsibility for his children? There's lots of dialogue in the game where MC tells a woman he will take responsibility if they get pregnant. It might be better if there were an overall limit on how many children the MC can have at one time in the orphanage. Also, while orphanage makes sense for Arenfield, maybe not so much for Rumah characters (including Tia), if and when that content gets added.

Well implementing the first option feels like pregnancy isn't a really huge deal in the game, like its more of a scene stuff more than an event that has actual impact to the story, it's better to use the second option imo. About the characters staying the same while children grows up, a simple plotline can easily help disregard that fact. I mean, who's going to care about aging main characters in an adult game?

Prayer2009

I don't think age will be a problem since it's an adult game not irl, I don't think the women will stay knocked up a full 9 to 10 months game time , more 7 to 14 days like in most games that have the pregnancy system and if i recall only the children age , if the characters aged with the children Chyos would have to do a ton of make over for every character and even deaths to some of the older ones do to old age and i don't see that happening

2026-09-06 19:00 Good morning Chyos, whatever the choice I trust in your work, how much of Penny's sena can you update today?

Just

Exactly my point on the problem of aging characters, but then it just becomes weird that the children age differently.

Just

I don't think pregnancy is supposed to be a huge deal. Going with the second option is just bound to give Chyos more work in the future, when he already has so much to do. But setting that aside, what simple plotline helps to easily disregard that children age while adults don't age? Can you give examples of such a plotline?

-Mmm If I am completely honest I dont think the character is "old" mentally enough to have the responsability that bears a child. Its more an error that youngers do and have to deal with it. -Also I am more for the second option, because the first feel so empty. -I recommend for argument sake that if Lust can corrupt everything, some goddess of life could give player some type of power that affect the growing of the "seeds" and could affect others things too. -I am a fan of pregnancy but I dont think that the pregnancy should start on Kate. -It would fit more in tribes like the orcs or semi-orcs like Tia for starters. Because it would be more instinct than a "responsability".So in that way the Character could grow from primary instincts to a full "responsability" than starting making a mistake that you need to deal with. -Also the tribes would be more fit in argumental sake to start repopulating after the orcs keep killing/fucking/breeding them as a primary target. -I am fan of pregnancy, seriously, but I like it when it is well structured and fit in a more argumental way, not because "Fans want it so I'll add it".Pregnancy is something very valious and make the game more "adult" because is the cycle of life and death. Have a nice day.

Or it could also be used as a part time daycare for those who can take care of their kids as well. Kate would not truly be able to take care of the kid by herself but she would have help from Claire so in reality besides a few hours per day their would be no reason to leave the child. The thing is their is a caviot multiple actually. 1 they could fezible only take care of 1-4 kids properly any more then that and it’s a big fat no. Hell besides yisma (based of giren and if the basterds female, my guess is around 6-8), muai (kids brought up by clan so unlimited) and the people of ruhma (same as orcs) any more then two is pushing it because they literally do not have the capacity or capital to raise any more then that. 2 they would not be able to bring them to kirlec so they will have to be housed when their gone. And finally 3 based off corruption and/or who’s the father. For example yours is up to you and you can push them to keep it or send them to the orphanage, Rick and thomas would most likely keep at least one kid (Rick might be a drunk but he is a family man so he won’t leave her high and dry, while Thomas will keep them for his legacy aka the inn) Jason’s not expanded enough so he’s a ? While the rest of her encounters will most likely go to the orphanage. So in short it is possible to do 2 and after a while the kids just become numbers even those sent to Emily.

Kevin Daley

Also unlike Kate the orcs and ruhma do not have a cap on kids. They are a whole tribe so they can take care of a bunch of kids. Kate by herself max 2

Jacky Chen8481

I think that at least on the NTR route, female characters can hand over their children to their biological fathers, but they can be a blood relationship tree.

Robert Tucker

My two cents regarding Kate getting pregnant are the same as before, that her story and options are too complicated to start with her and it's best to start with a woman without extra scenes to learn with, then move on to more complicated characters. That said, by starting with Kate, you'll start with all the possible headaches and extra work, so any other women that get pregnant will be a cake walk by comparison. As for the offspring, what to do with the rugrats is always a problem, and why pregnancy shouldn't be added just because people want it. Both options leave a lot to be desired and worse, the initial game is not set up to accomodate anything other than the kids disappearing immediately after birth. Kate's children have no bedroom, unless you put them in the inn's basement, giving up a rental room for them is not in the innkeeper's character. Sticking them all in the orphanage has been proffered, and would work if people insist on option 2. The problem is, just as in real life, pregnancy is complicated and changes everything from the ground up. Game wise, every house in the entire town will have to be reworked to allow for kids with option 2, while option 1 is so unsatisfying as to not make the pregnancy endeavor worth the time and effort. Just my two cents.

Kevin Daley

Like rich and Thomas who would most likely take care of at least one of the kids the sire.

Chaz90

If aging is an issue, then why not just cap the aging for the kid at 10-13 or something. Then when they're maxed out be able to give tasks (like gathering) or take as a potential follower (hunting, fighting orcs, completing specific quests). You don't have to age the kid until they're a full adult.

Sunwind

I think alternative 1 is best. With this option, there will be less work with the implementation of other pregnancies and there will be more time for more important things than making lots of different kids spirits. In addition, you do not have to have a maximum limit for pregnancy. narratively, the king may come up with a new decree that all children should grow up under the supervision of the church to prevent more rebellion so that the children become loyal to the state (inspired by Plato "Republic"). This gives a general reason why there are no children in villages and towns! With Rumah, children can become a part of the village that is not visible. And as for Biancha and Gaviana, hopefully they will save the dwarves from being extinct by increasing their numbers som how. There are many good solutions to make the job easier by choosing No. 1! And to those of you who have read this to the end, Vote Gwen at the next poll! #Gwens crusade

Update is out now.

Just

It's still weird they'd even get to 10-13. The game actually tracks days, months, and seasons. On a full play through from 0.4.0.0, I got to mid-Nov of the first year. It's not about them becoming adults, it's about the aging process to begin with.

Primal Crisis

You can have the church expanded to double as a school/daycare. Still would limit to 2 per mother. The other option is that the children are magical cause of the witch. allowing for them to be fey kids. After 2 months they become spirits/pixies/changling? around the area that align with the mc. It would allow for the mc to have magical standing with the other powers and keep having kids. The mc can even claim that a god has chosen him to help fight against demons if he wants to side with the church. The children upon leaving can give of an item to the mother once a day that the mc can get by talking to them. Kate = wine Clare = food Arianna=craft items Verena =clothes I had a sizable rush of ideas... Not sure if I went overboard.

Skariot 88

with the help of children, you can automate some processes in the future. Let's say there is a chance that someone will become a mercenary and join the camp, also for passive pieces - mining in rumakh +%, mining from a metal mine. And as new mechanics appear, you can attach some of them somewhere, even let's say a traveler will send something once a month (money, skins, etc.). % of the innate skill, so to speak, the chosen ones will be useful, and the rest will simply disappear around the world.

Dr. Jakob Jung

I think Peasant quest handles pregnancy well. Most children remain anonymous but there are 2 cute daughters of the MC that reach adulthood very fast because they are not human. The demon daughter is extremely cute and the goblin daughter is also nice. Both join the MC as team mates.

Dr. Jakob Jung

You could do something similar to PQ by getting Syfa or Maui pregnant.

CShep

I would definitely go for option 2 because I'm a softy and would like to keep my kids around, but i also recognize that this would take more work.

Super_admin

I will choose 2,option 1 will make ur review in the f95 lower and only remind them summertime saga😑

Herugrim

Ooft, this is a very tough one. First and foremost, I agree that there are no children in the game currently. To be honest, it has never struck me as strange but now that it is being pointed out, that is rather odd. So, before anything, I guess it makes sense to establish why there are no children in the game/ in Arenfield/ in Rumah. If a valid reason exists, then option (1) becomes more of a possible/logical option. I don't know, it could be because Arenfield as an area is too close to the skirmish lines of war that all children get sent away to Kirlic or to that area because it is safer for them to be raised there. But that is just so weird, because what parent would sent away their child in that manner and not follow themselves. It just doesn't make much realistic sense. Also, currently not a single NPC in the game actually is a parent to a young child, which might be a bit weird, but also means that there is no in-game situation that can be used to explain the situation with children being sent away for safety (or any other reason). On the other hand, implementing any kind of system where children are born and grow up opens up an entirely different can of worms. Adult NPCs aging slower than children to move the children from just pixel baby placeholders into actual characters with their own feel and personality. I don't know, it feels like you (Chyos) never wanted pregnancy as content to exist in the game, and I believe that since it is your game, you should be able to keep it that way. No matter how many people complain or ask, it is your artistic creation. People buy an iPhone because they believe that Apple understands them and will make products that they love, not because Apple listens to them and implements every single thing they want or demand. If you cater to every whim of anyone that might support you with money you will never get to tell us the story you want to tell. The in-between compromise could be that the children get sent somewhere but they get sent to Rumah or the Camp. Ideally, at some point in the future the MC unites Rumah and his Camp into a co-existing society that is self-serving. Rumah has hunters and maybe will gain farmers and the Camp protects and trains everyone. But I don't know how far apart the two areas are "realistically", other than just saying 3-4 screens away from each other. I don't believe I can currently think of a magic solution that is both not impossible to do while also satisfying the itch that comes with becoming a parent, pregnancy and raising children. I don't know if the game lends itself for it, but to me personally, any implementation of becoming a parent (in a game) should have some character development involved since it is one of the greatest life-changing experiences you tend to go through in life.

Super_admin

Thats the best idea you come up with!Chyos will be the first if he do that

Super_admin

I dont mind some kid,it make the village livelier. Also,I hope its not just a come and go child, you can name him/her and she have an actual characteristic like his/her biological parents.

Kevin Daley

nope flexible survival beats him to that punch by almost 15 years, their also really the only one who actualy do it to and if 2 wins then he will have a much better system then theirs which is basic at best

blue sblu

sincerely idc to raise childs but it could be a possibility to add inc scene when they grow up also ntr inc..maybe making them grow up faster with some spells...that should be interesting to do otherwise i don't find it really rewarding to have children thrown away or wandering around doing children things while the MC being filthy all the way around

Celso Manuel Nogueira Ascenso

And also with children Emely will have work in her orfanage, when Emely have 1or 2 children thy also help her in orfanage like Kate , her story she go to Kirlic with her mother when she get ther fin place to live and 1 building to work and when her baby born and grow up he or her help Kate and mother in work, like also in rumah with Tia and other the childrens help in battle.

Just

I like the idea someone mentioned on the Discord, of just having a limited number of babies in the orphanage and stay there for the duration of the game, until the game ends and have kids grown up in game epilogue. More realistic, not too much work, and pregnancy fans get pregnancy and kids that way.

Celso Manuel Nogueira Ascenso

in my opinion the ages should be fixed and when the children reach 15 years old help their mothers with the work, and when you reach the end of the game in the last 90% then yes you could start changing the characters and aging them, this is just an idea

X97MM

peanuts

Light

I honestly think you should avoid putting any of your time into pregnancy. It doesn't really fit the game, as you've created a very believable storyline and detailed characters that all have a purpose in this town. It doesn't make any sense to have these women get pregnant only to immediately remove all of their babies. It just doesn't track. Additionally, this particular fetish content can easily be added after the game is more complete. IMO, it doesn't need any of your time or resources. I would instead continue to expand the characters and storylines, while progressing the main story.

James

no 2 definitely - very excited for this

Dassath

While I would love to see pregnancy added to the game; at this current point it doesn't make sense to add it.

Sonjohn Nickles

Option 1 would be more practical until the game is more complete and then implement option mechanics. If you introduce option 2 now, I feel you will throw a lot of hurdles at yourself in terms of storyline branches and just pregnancy in general. As someone who's been here from the beginning, I've seen the pleads for pregnancy and have been 100% on board with every update these past couple of years; however, I feel like the choice to implement pregnancy will lead to a lot of growing pains that will have not only us dissatisfied but you as a content creators dissatisfied until you can fully rectify it in the future. So although I'm not against pregnancy, and I like the mechanic, I don't think it's time to introduce it yet.

Sin

After reading through all of the comments I'm surprised by my own opinion on this subject. I will pre-empt this statement with a small blurb about me, I am a massive fan of impregnation and really want to see it in this game I think it's a great aspect to put into the game but nobody ever seems to do it the right way. However I have to agree with the comment posted by Light, right now impregnation adds nothing of value to the game other than a couple of scenes which don't get me wrong I would love to see but once there done there is nothing you can really do with the children I mean they serve no purpose based on the options you have provided. I think it would be much better to focus on the game's story progression and although it may be extremely far off heading in the direction of the end game is a much better use of the developer's time. That being said I think if you decide to add children then they should be integral to the story, an option to just impregnate any woman and then the child gets forgotten is, in my opinion, a bad way to implement that kind of content, if you are going to add children to all the woman you could do so at a time when you can actually put time into weaving them into the story of that character so they take part in future cuts scene or story-driven events. Well, I've droned on long enough, I look forward to seeing whatever the outcome may be and just want to finish by saying you're doing a great job, keep up the great work. :)

Light

Cannot agree with this comment enough. I actually find myself enjoying the characters, and if the children aren't a meaningful aspect of the actual story, I don't really want to see them enter the game just to be immediately abandoned.

Alex

I welcome, if there is such a great desire to make this kind of content, then at this stage it is better to make a new character or choose ONE girl from the existing characters to whom to make a normal storyline and scenes. This will be a very correct decision, because it will show how the given content will look in the game and at the same time it will be possible to do everything normally in terms of the plot and animations.

Chyos

Thanks for all your feedback! I've written an update about my decision at the bottom of my post.

Alex

I will add that it is better to start with the character of Tia, since at the moment there are many variations and uncertainties. I mean it has one of the best NTR routes and also has a normal boring mode. You can add buildings to the settlement, this mechanic already existed. In general, it will be possible to add stories for every taste. Or add a new character from the same area ..

Hunting skill 5 go to Corbin Press c it’s on the bottom craft if you have the metreals. Spots show up then

Chyos

Have you already visited Corven at his camp? You need 5 talent points in the hunting skill to learn the skill. (see talents in the menu)

Chyos

Hey. I can't promise that there will be a full translation in the future. But there are already tools that would allow you to fully translate the game via MTL (machine translation) into any language you want. If you want to know more about that contact me via personal message.

xIxVersusxIx .

I have problem, after new update I get bleeding skill on all my saves and I don't know how to delete it, after 30 sec my hp =1 point

Just

To remove the bleeding status, use a bandage.

Chyos

a bandage can be bought from Katherin ;) But I guess the damage it does is to high then... I will address this in the 0.4.3.5 update
