Good morning,

it's been a long week again and while getting a lot closer to the final release of 0.5.5.0 the work just won't end!

I've added another round of animations Agatha, completing her love route while also rewriting parts of her Blackmail route (added in some in between steps as well as made different dialogue depending on corruption state). She feels now pretty complete, although I have to maybe change a few more lines when I do the testing.Earlier this week I decided to finally look at how to make Mira's alternative Aidalin route. The image of this post might lead to it, although there is a variation of it which will be interesting for vanilla routes as well, leading to a more open Mira which already can be seen if you corrupted her and replayed the bath scene (which really needs another bonus scene in the future where I add some more content to it)Yesterday I continued my work on Bridgets scenes and dialogue. I thought I would be done with it quickly, since a lot was already made, but here I am still sitting on it... By now I would really like to call it all finished, but that isn't the case.

However since I really want to be done with it, I've decided to work over the coming weekend. I said it before on discord, I really loved working on this update, but it's now been 3 1/2 months. I would really like to finally complete it and then move on to Melissa. But at the same time I don't want to rush it (which is kind of a paradox I guess). That said, I'll probably take 1 day off next week after the update is done to compensate for the missing weekend.

Now back to it! I wish you all a nice weekend!

ah uh two days off. don't be slacking on your downtime. its vital for productivity

ExoReborn

And 4 weeks later....lol jk take your time and be well. And yeah take more time for yourself or you risk a burnout.

Chyos

that's what people keep saying :D but no worries, what stresses me more is when things don't get completed in the time frame I planned.

Chyos

1 day should be enough, I also want to start working on the Maui & Umah bonus scene.

Your still my favorite content creator here, constant proper reporting and updates, but you should take time off sometime too properly, I don't believe any of us supporters would complain.

Man. Poor Dasan. His dick must be chaffed from fucking all those women constantly.

Tzun

Hmm. I abit confused, will the update drop this weekend or the coming week?

Chyos

If I can get it done by then, on sunday. But if that is impossible probably on monday. (assuming I don't have any last minute problems during the tests)

I prefer what you are satisfied with over an update that triggers OCPD after release. :D As always stay motivated, take breaks, and thanks for the communication.

Only reason why I’m stressing 2 days is because I know you. Im 99% sure you skipped or worked a weekend recently as this updates been hard. Just don’t want you to burn out

Ahh The Eternal dilemma of I need to get this out it's not perfect and I need to fix it BUT ITS OVER DUE BUT IT'S NOT PERFECT. Every artist goes threw this it's important to remember to breath and always evaluate what you can truly do what you want to do and what you should do. Also remember as far as I know your a one person team you need down time. You can always come back to a part of the story that isn't perfect later or tinker with it when your stuck on something else with writers block or something rendering or what have you. You do you but remember the community understands your human and not a machine. Anyways best luck and I will get off the soap box.

Especially in my save, chaffed from all the decomposition of nature helpers

I have been following your progress for about a year and a half now Chyos, I can say I am really impressed by ur dedication. However, it seems to me that what you need is less of hard work and dedication, but more of production work in planning and scheduling. This happens to everyone and almost all indie studio will get their own production staff at some point to make their performance consistent. I think it might be time for you to dedicate perhaps a team member to look after this responsibility. Having weekly sprints, making asset lists, estimating schedules and updating on Patreon, instead you always having to come back and beg for more time. I understand everyone here has been mostly understanding and supportive, but the mental and physical strain of crunch time is hardly a sustainable part of any work. And I do not wish to see you quitting one day due to the accumulated fatigue.

I agree with you James. Working on the game slowly overwhelms him, he needs an extra pair of hands, he needs to find an extra programmer. I wouldn't want the game to crash because of overwork

Chyos

Still working on it. It's going to be a long night again.
