An abbreviated podcast this week, as I had to pick one week in the nonstop UFC schedule to sacrifice for my a portion of my cross-country move. This week’s UFC is a joke with a ton of mediocre fighters as absolutely massive favorites. But I still did my full research of the main event, so I’ll provide my thoughts here. There’s a bunch of official bets up from the multiple handicappers, though. Normal content will return next week, along with a new episode of Luca’s Lecture.

How do you tally your record if all you do is have a bunch of handicappers on your site? Is there one that is yours?

The record posted is only the official bets from Liam and Balboa, which are third-party tracked. I don’t choose any of the official bets myself (at least for now).

Ahh that’s helpful. Thanks. But I noticed that Liam and balboa have had bets on the opposite sides in the past. How does that work?

I tally whatever their third party records are. If one wins 2u on side A and the other loses 1u on side B, that’s 2 - 1 = 1 unit profit on fighter A. If you’re tailing both, in that case, just bet 1u on fighter A. I’m going to do a pod next week explaining how to tail multiple handicappers.
