News & Updates 39 - itch.io deindexed the Helluva Game! (Patreon)

Itch.io has deindexed all adult NSFW content (not just my game) from their browse and search pages. This happened because itch.io's payment processors had concerns about certain NSFW games containing illegal content. It is still unclear whether these restrictions will stay in place or if they will be adjusted later. I hope for a better outcome (😣), but for now we wait.Getting funds is crucial for projects like mine. Things like hiring a proofreader, outsourcing coding help, or working with other artists are often more reliable when paid (which, I know, is kinda obvious, but had to be explained anyways)

I already have a few backup ideas. One of them is creating a separate SFW version of the game. If this is allowed (and not against the rules), it could include a link to the NSFW version. Making a second version will take extra time, but it would help keep the project alive on itch.io.

To sum up:

If needed, I’ll spend time on an SFW version
