I hope you guys enjoy this one, this is DroidC's August pick. It's very surreal and weird, probably a good choice for a first Lanthimos film based on what I've heard 😂

Very sorry about the poor lighting, I'm dealing with an eye injury and the light was hurting me. I thought I could fix it later but turns out not really.

Some films aren’t really meant to be “enjoyed” (horror films & such), I think the director definitely went into this one with that mindset. The styling and stilted acting left an imprint in my head. (Also, this film is my average social interaction fr)

Yeah, personal enjoyment and pleasure is a very big part of my film watching experience, so it's good for me to branch out and watch films that don't focus on that. Lots of the great ones set out to make you think, or feel negative emotions. You're helping me become a more mature cinephile 🤣

I hope I haven’t left you dreading my monthly requests haha. I really do appreciate the authenticity of your reactions- the point of reactions are the reactors opinions and facial expressions and laughs and so on and so on. So for you to lie and say it was the greatest thing ever would miss the point. The reactors who blankly stare at the screen and laugh on queue to the “funny bits” and show no reaction or emotion otherwise- and give milquetoast review and critique etc etc, are worthless in my eyes. I’m not watching the reaction video to watch the movie for Gods sake- I’m watching to see my favorite reactor’s- wait for it- reactions. People who get upset at reactors for pausing and talking about a scene- they confuse me- what are they watching a reactor for? Like go watch the movie in that case lol. Please, pause more, talk more, emote more, etc. it’s the whole point! Sorry for the rant lol.

Nah nah, I feel it! I try to make sure and pause when I have anything to say that's more than a quick comment or joke, and I have no problem rewinding. It's much easier now since I'm doing the legally questionable style for full reacts 🤣 Thanks for that encouragement. I think most reaction watchers agree with you, there's just always idiots out there who don't get it and they are just *so* vocal. I try to either ignore them or smart mouth them but I have no intention of becoming a "wow" "lol" "omg" reactor 😁 And I do actually think it's quite skillful and like I said, it's good for me to step out of that comfort zone. I trust you'd never pick anything that would really traumatize me (and most of those I'm already aware of anyway) so keep picking what you like!

This movie was a lot of fun to re-visit. I love movies that are weird and unpredictable. The way the characters talk was really interesting
