Happy Holidays, Patreons!  This is a Plaid tier request from DroidC, and it was VERY interesting!  It's somehow completely gripping even though it's literally just people talking.  The banality of the meeting contrasted with what they're discussing is disturbing in a way that's hard to put into words.  Thank you for the great choice DroidC!

*I watched this on HBO Max

Relatively unique film. I'm glad you found it interesting. Not a very fun film, but I think it gets across the casual evil of that government. The casting was insane, a lot of really great actors on one screen. I don't know if the version you watched was slightly speed changed, I had to keep pausing my copy every few seconds to maintain sync. Not a big issue tho. Thanks again!

Oh wow, that is weird! Glad you were able to work around it though 💜 It was really intriguing to feel myself trying to pick one of them to root for, it's like it's ingrained in us. But you can't because at the root they're all actually terrible. And not in an ogre-ish cartoon evil way. Just boring politicians and officials who want to suppress and murder humans. Brr.

I did that as well when I first watched. You try to find someone to get behind. I thought maybe the law maker was it, but he’s awful as well, just not in the same way. Eventually you kind of just have to throw your hands up and say it’s out of your control. Frustrating in that kind of way.
