A very good movie, even though sometimes it felt very much like it was trying too hard to be Art.  Definitely a focus on character over story, and I feel like it delivered on that, I especially liked Robin Williams as the shrink.  Hope you enjoy!

Robin Williams' portrayal of Dr. Sean Maguire in "Good Will Hunting" is generally considered to be a very accurate depiction of a therapist. The bench where he gives the monologue to Matt Damon in Boston is still there and is visited by tourists all the time.

These types of movies are the hardest to edit, because there's so much great dialogue and you end up kind of absorbed and don't say much 😅

At the 70th Academy Awards, it received nominations in nine categories, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won in two: Best Supporting Actor for Williams and Best Original Screenplay for Affleck and Damon.

The screenplay was a little bit tryhard, young people trying to make an impact on the world. I can forgive it, given the quality they achieved. Plus, without it we would never have gotten a puppet chanting "Matt Day-mon!" like a retard.

Best part of Team America, Matt Damon! Matt Damon? Reminds me of the Yarp dude from Hot Fuzz.
