The leaning tower of Pisa is literally so wild to me. Like how the hell does it stay up? I am genuinely going to do more research on it hahahaa like I am sure I learnt about it in history class but I don't remember the specifics of it and the technical reasons for how it stays up. So cool.

Love how easy Mingyu makes friends. He has such golden retriever energy! His vibe is always the best.

Another amazing episode of DK saying "Salute" at any given opportunity hahahaha

About the leaning tower of Pisa, it actually started tilting already while they were still constructing because the soil underneath is too soft to hold that much weight and they didn't build the foundation properly so one side of the tower started to sink. Trying to fix the leaning is something that engineers where working on for centuries (without success) because the tilt increased with time and the risk of the tower falling grew bigger. Only recent advances in engineering/technology in th late 20th/21st century made it possible to straighten the tower. And they actually did straighten the tower to a certain degree by removing soil from underneath the raised side and added extra measures so the structure is stable. The only reason that they didn't/don't straighten it fully is because the tilt is what made the tower so distinctive. Italy would loose one of their trademarks and important tourist spots if the fully straightend the tower, so they kept the tilt. It's completly stable tho and the tower hasn't moved in years now.
