On the 9th of April Germany launches Operation Weserübung, meant to prevent the British and French forces from utilizing the territories of Norway and Denmark.

While the invasion of Denmark wasn't the most eventful one, it was an example of good invasion planning. Lightly equipped and small Danish Army fought for only six hours before the surrender. Danes showed their skills in small hopeless skirmishes such as at Bredevad, but Danish terrain proved to be hard to defend in this new style of warfare.
