Is saluting with your left hand a thing in Finnland? Like in Switzerland it’s seen as rude. If your right hand can’t be freed to salute, you greet just verbally or by nodding.

I was thinking she's doing it casually, perhaps to another recruit, since she's tilting her head too. Or since she's new she doesn't know and she's going to get scolded afterwards We have the same practice, just a nod or verbal greeting if the hands are occupied
