I could use some good vibes, it’s been a rough couple of days! I’m sure I’m not the only one that could use a pep talk. Let’s pep each other up today, leave a comment with your best atta-girl/atta-boy, let’s take time to let each other know it’s gonna be okay!!

Something my grandma always used to say (in context with my illness for example) is that, nothing bad can ever last forever at least not as bad as it seems now. The rough days and the bad situations are like storms, they can leave damage but you can build from grow from each one. She would also add, that after a storm there’s always sunshine and that time to rest and collect yourself after to continue pushing forward. She said that life is full of beautiful things, the storms are only temporary <3

You're not alone. I know it may feel like it right now, but your inner critic is lying to you. There are many people that care about you and are there for you on the other end of the line (or the screen as it were) rooting for you to succeed. If the person, or job, or situation has left you high and dry be glad that you found out they were wrong for you now. I know it hurts, I've been there, but you can learn from it and choose better next time. Ever forward. You can do anything you set your mind to. You're capable, talented, and worthwhile. Don't beat yourself up and don't let the world do it either. You will survive, persevere, and come out a winner. You just have to push through the tough days until you come out the other side. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Your friends don't see you as a burden. If they do they're not your friends. Your true friends are wanting to help. Also don't be afraid to find the right counselor/therapist if you need them. If they aren't a good fit you're within your rights to say you need a new one. Advocate for what you need and don't be afraid to stand up, stand out, stand strong, make some noise, be wonderful you. And above all stay safe my friends. Listen to your gut and walk/run away if you're not feeling safe. You know what you need/want and you can trust yourself (no matter what anyone says to the contrary)

Don't take everything on by yourself, let others around you help and guide you. Take all the time you need to rest and complete whatever task you want to complete. You can do this and I believe in you!

Hey Ben and all my fellow monkeys out there... Remember that we don't have to smile and shine and dance every single day of our lives. Of course, we feel better when we are able to do that, but sometimes we just can't. And that is completely okay, no matter what our own twisted minds keep trying to tell us about how bad, lazy, weak, blablabla we are. We are okay the way we are, even if we do not "function". Sometimes we can't do anything but fall face forward to the ground with not an ounce of energy or willpower or positivity left. But let's all remember in these times, that we don't necessarily need some great hero to help us stand back up and give us some great new meaning. All we really want is someone who lies next to us, weary and tired and beaten just as much as we are, to do nothing but stare at the far away sky together with us. We need no words of courage, when even those can feel too demanding for us to ever live up to. We wish for someone who is just close to us, so we don't have to be alone, and whispers in our ear: "I understand." If you found a special someone in your life already, go lie down next to them, because they will understand. And if you haven't found a special someone, then just stay where you are, turn on your back and stare up at the sky, which might be sunny or muddy or full of stars, and know that somewhere out there is at least one person (but probably more), who do lie next to you right now at this very moment, with no hope or energy left, staring up at that same sky and wishing that YOU would exist to lie next to them. We are not alone. We understand. 💜

i’ve learned recently that it’s hard to stay true to yourself and who you are, but you will find people that value the person you are inside and they will love every bit of you. it might be platonically and it might be romantically, but the people who see and value you for who you truly are, they’re out there, waiting to meet and love you! take time and care for yourself, self care and self love isn’t selfish, it’s doing to yourself what you do to others. take some time, breathe, and know that things will get tough, but you will always be tougher. <3
