Honestly This is gonna sound like an exaggeration but I work from the time I get up to the time I go to bed. I have like zero hobbies lol.

Lists! Whenever I have to do something outside of my comfort zone, I make a list. I list all the things I worry what will go wrong, then I highlight the ones I can control and the ones I can't. I catastrophise the simplest of things so even though it sounds silly it's helped me cope to a point where as person with crippling agoraphobia, can go out for short periods of time and not have a panic attack.

ASMR audios (with deep male voiced whispers), meditation, journaling, affirmation audios, comfort audios, boyfriend audios, therapy/peer support, chamomile tea, stretching, taking a walk, positive movies or books to take my mind off of my problems for a while, daydreaming about how I would like my life to look, actively arguing against the negative thoughts and worries. I tend to avoid alcohol because for me it causes my problems to increase in size and/or scope. I've made some really bad decisions under the influence of alcohol and other legal (many places) substances that made things worse in the long run. I hope one or two of these suggestions will help you.

One more! If you suddenly had to give an hour long talk without stopping, what would you talk about?

Deep breaths. Grounding with feet on the floor…find 5 things in the room you can see, 3 sounds and 1 smell. If the anxiety is ongoing or contines to be severe, therapy is wonderful.

I’m sorry for the hard times you had dealing with this and thanks for the advice! I’m definitely trying it!

Good call! This is one of the reasons I started listening to it. It got me through really dark times

Thanks so much for the advice! I still don’t think I’m ready for therapy but I’m definitely trying the grounding idea

I came up with this phrase that’s helped me: “Stability is not the lack of change, rather it is the acceptance that change is the only constant in life”

Personal: Do you have any kinks or fetishes? Safer Question: Favorite scent?

Do you have a favorite MLB team? The Dodgers & the Padres for me (tho L.A. is a scuzzy place).

😁 That's a cool question. I always pick the iron. I just love the way it glides over the board.
