Little explination (Patreon)

I was asked to do a tutorial on how i'm drawing this months pic, its just hard to do tutorial on drawing because every artists approach is different and what works for me might not work for you, but I figure I can show the stages of the sketch and what i was thinking.

im focusing on the girl in the foreground cuz shes the furthest along

I start with a very loose almost gestural sketch of an idea, its more about getting the right feeling instead of a good drawing. This is also allot easier to change modify and fix then a pic that as all kind of clean details that you where meticulous with, also you can do a lot of these kinds of sketches in a short amount of time.

now I fine tune the pose trying to work out the forms with simple shapes. Drawing a box in perspective is much easier to put in perspective than a person's hand or chest. Doing studies where you just draw shapes can help with your understanding of them

After I did that i did a more refined version still using simple shapes but still more complex than before

lastly i did a version with all the details that make them look like a person instead of a weird mannequin.

Thats all I can think of for now, I can try and say more at a later date
