So much of this is soo relatable. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and what you are dealing with. I hope you are able to continue to grow and cope and process through even current anxiety. Procrastination is exactly that a short term relief that just shifts that lines. And as someone who has panic and anxiety attacks still occasionally, trying to be better to find ways to not create those situation is important. Thank you again, I enjoy hearing how others process and sharing those mechanisms are an amazing opportunity. 💓

Perfect timing! I need something to listen to on my break lol! I completely understand how you feel, Sarah! I also struggle with anxiety and panic attacks and was diagnosed with a constant anxiety disorder. So I’m just always in a state of anxiety and in a fight or flight state. I definitely also struggle with procrastinating and will reschedule things all the time. Medication can definitely be a huge life saver for people! It definitely helps me manage my anxiety and I don’t have panic attacks as much anymore!

I too used to have massive panic attacks, it gets better, I assure you. Therapy and medication didn't help me, though. I found relief in learning to not give so much importance to the things that are not in my power to change, and focus on the little things that I actually can change. It is a slow process, but one gets there. What is important is you start learning to succeed, even toward small goals, and you build confidence from there, step by step. I also am a massive procrastinator and still have a long way to go, thank you for sharing your experience in this audio. I must add your work plays a signifiant role in helping me navigate my anxiety, and I know I am not the only one.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience Sarah! I too have struggled with anxiety most of my life (probably since I was 7 years old). There have been times where my anxiety was so bad that I couldn’t get into a car and started shaking/crying. Thankfully two types of medications that I am on have helped. I also have gone to therapy in the past and am considering going to therapy again. One of the best things to know is that we aren’t alone in our anxiety. This community has been a blessing to me because my family doesn’t struggle with anxiety and they don’t fully 100% know what I am going through or what a panic attack feels like to experience. Just know you aren’t alone as well! We are all here for you! ❤️

Thanks for sharing. It's great you're paying attention and learned to manage your panic/anxiety which seems like an ongoing process. You know your body best. I've been experiencing anxiety attacks recently due to stress, it sucks. I know that procrastination can cause stress but your health and wellbeing comes first. Don't push yourself if it doesn't feel right.

oooh! I'll definitely give this a proper listen when I get home. Anxiety is something that wasn't a big issue for me, rather I tend to struggle with symptoms of depression and trauma more often than not. Until this year anyways. I'm thankful to not suffer through a lot of panic attacks but I can have trouble overthinking or my mind not being very kind to me. I can get stuck in the "all or nothing" thought process and spiral down into thinking I'll go through bad things again, be hurt again, or thinking I'm to blame for bad things. More often than not, I REALLY struggle with allowing myself to rest. I'll constantly be thinking I could do more or better. Usually, I try to get these out through words and try to work through what is real and what isn't. And even sometimes I will put some music on through my earbuds to distract me enough to just chill for a bit. it's definitely a learning process, one that I've found out I need professional help for my mental help, if it's just talking through it and accessing what steps I could do to relax my mind. okay, I'm rambling now, anyways I'm very appreciative of this and am excited to listen later on!

Great post, thanks for sharing Sarah, although I feel like we should have a challenge to see who procrastinates more, you go first, I'll do it later. Also sorry ^ stupid comment, it’s the awkward ADHD/Autism brain 🙃

This audio is very relatable. What helped me somewhat is really delving into mental health. Reading books, watching videos and lectures. My favorite is Mindsight by Dr. Daniel. J. Siegel. It taught me to observe and ask questions to get to the core. Journaling sounds great too. I found a great way of journaling is to read difficult books and write down your emotions and thought process in a journal, or quotes and why they mean something to you. Never had the time to do so sadly. Now I might be rambling. I'll observe my social anxiety acting up as I post this here.

thank you for the inspiring audio :) i'm very proud and you're so brave for facing this! i also struggle with anxiety ... going to therapy was probably the best decision i've ever made & i strongly believe that everyone should give it a chance. i also started journaling a while ago and it helps with my overthinking as well! writing down all the thoughts to let them go & to keep your mind at peace🌞 my therapist gave me the incredible tip to (if you have the chance) take an ice cube into your hand whenever you feel a panic attack coming. the feeling keeps your whole nervous system & brain busy and takes on all capacities so there is practically no room for a full blown panic attack. definitely a lifesaver for me! you're not alone but veery much cared for, i can promise you that! stay safe <3

Awww, this was a great post Sarah! To me personally there is nothing weird or rambly about this audio, in fact, I am very, super proud of you opening up about and sharing your struggles that you’re currently dealing with and that is what makes me so grateful for this community that we all have here, to be able to share how we are actually feeling and to be able to support and uplift each other, and that to me, is an absolutely wonderful blessing. I am very sorry to hear that this week was very rough for you and that it was causing your anxiety to get to you as badly as it did :( 😢 I completely understand how you are currently feeling. I love hearing that you’re trying your best to pay attention to and learning to manage your panic/anxiety which can always seem like an ongoing process. I used to be huge procrastinator myself and still procrastinate from time to time though nowhere near as much as I used to. It’s definitely not a fun feeling when you are always in a rush/panic to try and get things done right before their due. I feel it’s best to just to take everything one small step at a time to avoid overwhelming yourself and to always take some deep breathes to help calm yourself down and relax if you need to so that you can focus a lot better. Another important thing to remember is to try and focus on the small/little things that are within your control and to not worry about stuff that you can’t change. I tend to overthink just about everything a lot myself and sometimes have so much difficulty allowing my mind to rest because of what’s on my mind at the time. Whenever that happens I usually try my best to get my mind to focus on something else for a little while and come back to it once I feel ready to. I don’t think I have much experience with panic attacks or panic disorders but I do know that and especially hearing what you have to go through yourself is really pretty scary. While I have never been officially diagnosed with anxiety or a panic disorder myself, I can definitely relate a lot to your own experiences. Thankfully I am working with a therapist who is helping me try to understand everything that I am going through and hopefully will be able to better manage what I am experiencing. I am also trying my best to cope with what I am experiencing myself using several coping skills such as writing in a journal when I can and taking the time for some self care everyday for which both of those do help me out a lot. Again I am very glad/happy and proud of you to share your own experiences/struggles so that so that we could have a chance to have someone that we can relate to and also very happy to hear that you were able to get the help you absolutely needed to get to manage your panic/anxiety issues and I am hoping all for the best for you in the future Sarah <3 ❤️❤️❤️🫂🫂🫂

First things first, I really enjoyed listening to your story. Even though I couldn't directly relate the topic of anxiety, because I don't think that that's a problem for me at the moment (yet). My current struggle is loneliness, aching for love. Not that I'm desperate for a girlfriend or that I try to force a relationship. But I can feel my heart yearning for warmth, love and intimacy, and I'm not only talking about Sex. That beeing said, listening to your struggle with mental health has reminded me that everyone of us is carrying their own packages through life. And we all could use a little help with that every now and again 🫂
