Once upon a time, there was a peaceful mountain village. It was blessed with a holy pond, inhabited by a pair of mermaids. Sisters eternal, they loved nothing more than to help the villagers using their great wisdom.

"Obey us in all things, no matter how strange," they said. "What we will ask you to do may alarm you, but it is for your benefit, and your village will prosper." And so it did.

But if that were the end of the tale, you wouldn't be here.

The Mermaids' Knot

I'm a fan of your perspective illustrations. I want to learn that. I only use regular isometric projection so far.

There are a few steps to it, but I've had the most success using Sketchup to make simple 3D models as a basis. Print them in cyan, sketch with a cyan marker, then ink in black. That makes it easy to remove all the construction lines in a single step with Photoshop. Doing the perspective by hand is possible, of course, but it does take some experimentation to get the vanishing points placed to make a satisfactory dungeon - by and large they're way off the page.

Brilliant! Of all your works, this might be my fravorite. I love your twisted perspective. "He can sew shut mouths and eyes on sight." Three pages too. Extra bonus!

Ah, woops, didn't make my comment as a reply: There are a few steps to it, but I've had the most success using Sketchup to make simple 3D models as a basis. Hmm, for some reason, I can't download the Magda map from your blog site because of errors. I got the hydra .PNG and the adventure PDF just fine.
