Spooktober + Development Update! (Patreon)
Content
We're coming to the end of Spooktober! 🎃
I've been converting, coding these last few days and I'm happy with the amount of content I currently have.
🛠️ Experiments & Discoveries
I've also been experimenting with different shaders, character mods, programs... even Blender.
Still no clue how Blender works, but I got a plugin to work! I can now take .blend or .obj files and convert them to .glf for import into StudioNeo.
Currently, I was able to import a Confession Booth... with a big hole... for the big confessions... ya know what I mean. 😏
💻 Coding & Improvements
Nothing much to report besides, I've honestly just been coding. Also, I'm updating the Wall of Fluffy in this update. So yeah... coding and coding... improving. 💪
📦 File Size Watch
I've noticed the file sizes of my renders are getting bigger, even after converting.
Before: ~400–600 KB per render
Now: ~800 KB – 1 MB per render
With an average scene of 30–60 renders, that adds up fast. An average scene used to take 20 MB; now it's 30 MB (not counting animations, which add ~15 MB more).
I assume the reason is the graphics plugin update, improved lighting and shadows, especially in animations, under the right circumstances.
I'll need to keep an eye on this. Might have to downgrade for the sake of keeping the game smaller. It's already huge enough. 😅
💾 5GB Milestone (Not the Good Kind)
The game has officially reached over 5GB... yay... not really. 😬
That means it's passed the MEGA daily download limit. For those who can't use MEGA, I'll be uploading new versions to GDrive as well.
That's it from me. I hope the next post will be about the new update being out.
Wish you all the best! 💖
