LANCER - Update 1 (Patreon)

Hi there! Here's the first update on Lancer from my Fate fan Servants project. If you missed it, you can check the details of the project here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/project-119933708

As an introduction of this historical character, he is known as the last of the Tlatoani (the one who speaks/ the one who rules) or the last emperor from the Aztec Empire, and his name Cuauhtémoc means 'The Descending Eagle' or ' The Descending Sun". He became the ruler of the Aztec Empire during La Conquista, and he stood up for the indigenous people against the Spaniard Conquistadores. He became a prisoner of the spaniards and was tortured by putting his feet to the fire until he finally found his death by being hanged to a tree in the year 1521. Last week was the 500th anniversary of his death and it was commemorated.

My art process:

Again, I'm starting with a more realistic approach on his attire based on illustrations and monuments of him, however, I'm trying to add some subtle fantasy elements and exaggerating some shapes, specially to his weapon.

I still need to try some stuff for his overall design but I like the direction I'm going. Next update on Lancer will be color tests. Please look forward to it! :)

Now in the meantime, I'll proceed to prepare February files and send rewards from last month. Thanks again for your support!
