While I get that this might be cheaper and less time consuming, real dubbing will almost always feel better because of AI artifacts in the rendition In any case, the best result between the three Is Domi since the voice and speech feel more natural than the others to me at least

shaw36925

Remember folks voice actors cost money AI is cheaper

Burnwulf

I would say use AI as a last resort. If having people dub them is too expensive, well implemented AI voices would not be an unwelcomed addition IMO.

RazMaster

I think the first sounds best, but being she's an older sister, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to see if there was a more Dom sounding voice, like bc she's older she thinks she has power over you and that's portrayed thru her voice

UnloyalCompanion

If anything use the ai voice as a place holder, and if time and budget allows you should hire some talent ie Pixie willow, CJ Lim, and Oolay-Tiger

Xephon Rayne

Hate is a strong word but the software really isn't there yet, at least not for full dialog. Maybe if it was just short soundbites instead?

Reginald Hanson

I think you maybe jumping the gun here. At least complete your prior commitments.

SpcyToast

I think you should go with the Ai at first and if it's in the cards get real people dubbing it later.

Domi is okay, I would probably prefer real Voice Acting, but sometimes they can be pretty bad and over emphasize things. I feel like domi is atleast normal enough so it doesn't sound cheap

im inbetween im def on the side of i hate Ai dubbing id rather there be no *character Text Sounds* over Ai Sounds but understand its costly if you do go with the Ai id be cool with you adding an option to turn off character Text Sounds

FifthHeart

I'm in the camp that for these games, voice overs tend to be more distracting then helpful. I didn't see an option for just no dubbing at all, so chose option 4 as the closest. Preferably maybe just text sounds (i.e. Undertale) instead, or just no sound at all.

Jartheportprophet

If there's going to be voice overs I'd rather here a real voice actor than an AI. Both for quality and moral reasons I'd rather pay a little extra to hire a real person than to have a robot try to mimic Michelle Ruff. If it becomes too expensive to hire real people I'd rather no voice overs at all.

Lean

I really liked the 1st one (domi) but if u have the budget to get a real VA instead of AI I say go for it.There should also be a button to turn off and on voice acting for the ppl who don't like VA. Keep up the good work.

JJ Remi

I really like Domi but it just isn't refined. I know it'll get more Choppy because it was slightly in the small sample. Also, usually, you'd hear more of an "I'm", not I am. It just isn't used in speech as much but I also feel like a slightly lower tone would fix that issue. Don't stress over it much. If you'd rather spend the money to focus more on the game and just use Domi, I'm cool with it but a real VA is what the general people want.

dimman

If there is to be any voice overs, I think it should be AI, and not actual people. The reason is that having actual voice actors creates an immense work load; every time the script changes, or any changes are made, the new lines must be sent to the VA, evaluated, recorded, mixed, sent back, vetted and implemented. An AI works immediately on-demand without any extra work. I don't mind there not being any voice over at all, but if there is going to be any, it should definitely be AI (I think it sounded really good by the way), not to distract from other, more important, tasks.

LuciiLux666

What could be done is hire a va to do emotions like grunts, laughs, surprise and of course moans. That way it’s not too much work

Travis Burton

toys should be ai and humans dub humans

Dohduk

I'm with fifthheart. I kind of like it without the dubbing.

dave shipyo

I think just focus on completing the game and the story and then add the voice overs later

Kent Patrick Huang

Poor acting or janky dubbing would really take players out of the gameplay experience. I would rather not have that ruin what's been so far a pretty good game. If you really want to implement AI dubbing or any dubbing of some sort, an option to disable the dub would be essential.
